2023.05.28 08:19 PinkJellyGirly The man that followed me home twice got what he deserved
So this happened back in 2020, during the summer. I was 18 at that time, working a summer job at a local beach bar. I had just gotten my driver's licence and my first car. That day I was working the night shift, I got to work at 6pm and got off around 2am. For reference, I live in a suburb that has a max of 10000 permanent residents. There are more people during the summer, as many people rent vacation properties because the beach is literally 5-10 minutes away on foot.
I got off work and on the drive back home, I felt kind of nauseous (I had eaten a chicken sandwich at work, maybe the chicken had gone bad), so I thought a soda would make me feel better. In my country, we have these small 'shops' (you can find them in every corner). It's more like a kiosk where you can buy refreshments, chips, ice cream etc. So because my city is a small suburb, there is only one of these kiosks that is oppen 24/7. I drive there and park my car directly in front of the kiosk with my hazard lights on, as I was only parking there for just one minute.
As I exit my car, I notice that right across the street there is a man sitting on the hood of his car, looking right at me. As soon as I saw the way he was looking at me, I knew he was looking for pray. He was around 45-47yrs old, short and chubby, with a bald spot on the top of his head. I ignore him, I grab a soda from the kiosk's fridge, I pay and I get back in my car. The moment he saw that I was heading back to my car, he got in the driver's seat in a rush and drove off. I knew something was fishy so I didn't take my eyes off that car. He thought he was being all smart and shit, because he drove a few meters ahead and he parked his car on the side of the road, in a spot that you wouldn't be able to see him unless you had witnessed him park, and he turned off his lights and engine.
I start my car and drive past him, acting as if I hadn't seen him. Just then, he starts up the car and follows me. He wasn't riding on my bumper, thinking that I wouldn't suspect anything if he kept a safe distance. Just because I was sure he was following me, I had already made a plan. I call 911 (not the number we use in my country, I live in Europe) and I tell the operator that I think a guy is following me and I need them on the line as I am about to make a few turns to confirm that he is following me. So I choose to go around the block, and get back to the same point, as that would mean that he was for sure following me, I mean why would someone go around the block just to get to the same spot they were before, if they know where they are going they wouldn't need to do that.
So as you can imagine, he turned every single time I turned and we now both are right where he started following me. That's when I look at my rearview mirron and spell the licence plate to the 911 operator. She wasn't even saying anything, so I tell her: '' Please stay on the line just in case anything happens, I'm gonna lead him right to the police station ''. The police station was straight ahead from where we were, so I shift gears and drive faster. He does too. The police station is not visible if you're driving and looking straight, you would have to turn your head to the left in order to spot it. So I slam the brakes right outside the police station, and I pull to the side. He pulls up from the left, his car is now right next to mine, I roll down my window and he rolls the window on the passenger's side. Before he was able to say anything, I point with my finger and I show him the police station. He turns his head and he sees it. There was a cop guarding the outside door. I tell him: 'See where I brought you? You wanna follow me you pervert, let's go to the cops right now.' I hadn't even finished my sentence and the guy sped off so fast he didn't even roll up his window.
I hang up the phone to the police and I watch his car turn left and dissapear. I stay there for a few minutes, just to make sure he's gone gone, and I drive to my house, which is also straight ahead, just two streets above the police station. I get in my house, but I first check my surroundings, because I was paranoid, thinking he was hiding in a bush or smth. I wake my mom up and tell her all about it. She asked me for the number of his licence plate was but I had already forgotten it.
A month goes by, and I was again coming back home from the night shift. This time I hadn't eaten anything at work and I was very hungry, so I stop at that kiosk again to buy some chips. FYI, there isn't any other place to buy food at that time, no restaurant in my city is open 24/7. I look around and check if the man was there, since I suffered from ptsd because of my last experience in this kiosk. I buy the chips and as I am paying I hear a car pulling up across the street. Sure enough, there he was, coming out of the car and sitting on the hood, as if he was reenacting our first encounter.
He starts staring at me again. It felt as if he didn't remembed what had happened the last time. So I was like, no, this time, I'm calling the cops on you. I get in my car, and of course he rushes to get in his. I call 911 an I explain that the situation. I tell the operator that this is the SAME man that did this to me a month ago. She told me to wait there and that she would send a few officers over, but that it might take some time until they get here. So I thought, since this guy is now making me lose sleep, I might as well have some fun. Also, note that he seemed a little bit retarded. As if he had some kind of mental issue.
So for the next 40 minutes, he would copy my every move. I got out of the car, he got out of the car. I got back in, he got back in. I started the engine, he started the engine. I turned on the lights, he turned on the lights. This little game was going on for the whole 40 minutes. A few times, I tricked him into thinking that I would actually drive off, so he drove a few meters, checked if I was coming, and then did a U turn and came back. After these long 40 minutes, 4 officers on bikes arrrive at the scene. I immediately point at him and say: 'That's the guy'. He was sitting at the hood of his car so he couldn't just drive off this time.
The two policemen start asking him questions, and the other two ask me for my ID and my version of events. After I explained everything to them, they do a quick search of his car and they find some rope in his trunk. That didn't proove anything though. At some point, this guy started walking up to me, yelling at me, saying: ' I don' t know you miss, when did I ever cause you any trouble, I've never seen you before, I didn't do anything to you! '. The policemen stopped him right away. I was infuriated so I replied and said: ' Yeah right act as if you don't know me you piece of shit, you followed me home a month ago, don't you remember? '. He insisted, telling the police officers that he hadn't done anthing and that he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about.
After the police officers collected all of the information they needed, they pulled me aside (one of them was watching him) and they informed me about my options. Me, being naive and not knowing many things about the law, I listened to the police officers, who basically told me that there was no point in pressing charges. He hadn't taken any action. He hadn't physically hurt me. So taking him to court is basically pointless. That's what they said.
They told him to get in his car and leave. They asked me if I needed anything and I hesitated but I eventually asked them if they could escort me to my home because I wasn't feeling safe after that.
A year goes by. It's 2021. It is around that same time that guy had followed me home the year before. I am sitting in the living room with my mom, watching the news. And this title appears on screen: 48 yr old man tried to abduct a 13 yr old girl riding the bike to her home in _____(the name of my city). They show a blurred picture of him on the news. I immediately knew it was him. There were no public pictures of the guy yet. I tell my mom: 'It's the guy that followed me home, I'm sure it's him'. I sit and watch the whole coverage on the case. It happened in broad day light. They found sleeping pills in his car. He was calling her beautiful and he was following her with his car as she was riding her bike back home. He asked her if she needed a ride and when she declined the offer, he started shouting at her and demanding that she gets in his car now. The girl escaped and went straight to her parents and they called the police.
I immediately got dressed and went to the police station to give my statement. I sat there three hours, recalling every moment from those two times he tried to follow me. There were phone call records where I was saying the licence plate. There were police records from the time I called the police on him. At the end, they showed me a picture of him and I confirmed that I recognised him.
After the trial, he was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 6 months house arrest. Do I think that's enough? Absolutely not. But at least I know that I did everything in my power so that he would get locked up. I know I could have pressed charges but honestly the officers made me think there was no point in doing that. Also, I had just finished school, it's not that I am all wise now but life has taught me a few lessons since then.

2023.05.28 07:01 ggRavingGamer One of my favourite movies is The Way Back (2020), the one with Ben Affleck as a basketball coach. Do you guys know of any movies like that, where a screw up finds some sort of redemption, get's back on their feet, doing something good for others?
I know there are some movies like Bad news bears, but any movie with this type of redemption ark, it doesn't have to be about sports, is greatly apreciated.

2023.05.28 06:09 CryptographerLife596 A medical rides story
Ive learned a lot about sometimes just keeping my mouth shut, during rides. And thats after clearly saying to one rider, that while I donât mind taking the very disabled rider round the back of his complex, i will not help him get from the car to the home. Sorry, there is a limit. NO matter what the issue, or what the crisis. But we can chat, uberdriver the counsellor (again). Even so, there are times to NOT say anything , as folks discuss very sensitive topics (like topping yourself).
Today, I pick up wheelchair bound, oxygen-tank-powered guy from ER. The stress of just getting in the car (5 ft) has him wheezing badly. Wheezing may be the wrong word. Gasping, perhaps, is better. Its unnerving to say the least.
But between the gasps, he is lucid and chatty - all about whats going on. And the news ainât good.
He has had bad news today; being informed that he is basically âno longer mobileâ. He doesnât have the air handling system to support moving much beyond his bed/room. And it shows. This is depressing himâŠ, being a miserable milestone.
Gasp.
well I found out all about his limited actual mobility: at the assisted living place someone put him on the second floor (up some concrete stairs). After 3 steps, he is gasping again and nearly falling backwards. (Iâve decided to help him move the oxygen tank, being such a personable individual - dealing with lifeâs issues). He eventually has the assisted living folk come help him get home, one sitting step backwards at a time. The helpers look at me in disgust (why are you not helping)? (You insensitive human beingâŠ)
This was a simple case of hospital/medical/socialservices system neglect, dumped onto uber, with me - in the middle - quite adamantly not/never-ever touching him. (No matter what happens, you never touch an American, since the relative will assuredly blame/sue youâŠ, even if they are about to fall backwards and maybe die in the fall).
on the way home I reflected. Letâs suppose after a fall the 911 operator I call ORDERS me to give mouth to mouth - and he (or anyone else) clearly has an herpes outbreak. Well, once again, the limit is hit. No, you cannot infect me. You die, if such are the fates.
4000 rides (and countless reddit message from others) have instilled in me: this is a job, and people may well die on my watch, or struggle tremendously.. Move on To the next ride (which is mostly lots of happy kids and families playing ballâŠin a tournament)

2023.05.27 23:06 Joadzilla White House Tells Rep. Lauren Boebert: âAntisemitism Isnât Conservative, Itâs Evilâ
White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates told HuffPost that the congresswoman needs "to look inward" if she "finds opposition to hate threatening."
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/white-house-lauren-boebert-antisemitism_n_6471050ee4b02325c5db1d35
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) got a strong rebuke from the White House on Friday for a tweet she posted on Thursday that was critical of the presidentâs plan to combat hate, bias and violence against Jewish people.
After Joe Biden announced the first U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, the Colorado congresswoman took to Twitter to suggest that any plan to target hate was actually a plan to target conservatives. She added, âTheir tactics are straight out of the USSRâs playbook.â
When they say stuff like this, they mean they want to go after conservatives.
Their tactics are straight out of the USSR's playbook. https://t.co/bnICe9b6zO
â Lauren Boebert (@laurenboebert) May 25, 2023
Many Twitter users rebuked Boebert and noted that her comments suggested bigotry was a big part of the conservative mindset.
On Friday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates also criticized Boebertâs tweets in a statement to HuffPost.
âCongresswoman Boebert is mistaken; antisemitism is not âconservativeâ â it is evil,â Bates said. âPresident Biden is standing up for a bedrock American value that goes beyond politics and is embraced by liberals, conservatives and independents: That we are better than antisemitism and hate. Those vile forces fly in the face of what America represents.â
Bates said anyone who âfinds opposition to hate threateningâ needs âto look inward.â
He also suggested Boebert Google the Soviet Unionâs long, repulsive history of antisemitism.
âShe might find a result for Joe Biden, who at the time decried antisemitic acts by Soviet communists as âshameful,ââ Bates said.
HuffPost reached out to Boebertâs office for comment, but no one immediately responded.
To be fair, though, sheâs had a busy week.
On Tuesday, she went viral when she declared that having a child was cheaper than using birth control during a hearing on drug pricing.
On Thursday, it was revealed that one of her four kids called 911 in December to report that his dad, Boebertâs estranged husband, Jayson Boebert, was âthrowingâ him around the house.

2023.05.27 22:08 fitzy89 Downloads slow to a crawl after a few minutes
Hi all
I'm running Sabnzbd on Unraid using the Linuxserver docker. Previously this has worked fine however since adding some new usenet servers I have begun to encounter an issue where I will get full speeds for around 5 minutes and then it will drop off completely to just a few bytes a second. Currently I've had 50GB in my download queue for nearly 24 hours with no noticeable progress.
My host server is a Dell R730XD with 12 core/24 thread cpu and 256gig RAM, Unraid 6.11.5. Using a 1gig internet connection, due to upgrade to 10gig next week.
Running the performance checker shows these results:
Used cache 128.8 MB (156 articles) System load 2.53 2.24 1.92 V=4049M R=676M System performance (Pystone) 144093 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 v4 @ 2.20GHz AVX2 Download folder speed 43.3 MB/s /data/incomplete Complete folder speed 28.2 MB/s /data/complete Internet Bandwidth 97.8 MB/s 782.4 Mbps
Additionally, when I open the above screen, after about 10 seconds it shows "Lost connection to SABnzbd" which is a consistent issue every time I open the screen.
Previously I had a single provider for about a year running fine, NewsNinja, which worked well in terms of speed but was unable to retrieve some content so I have today added NewsgroupDirect Triple Play (Supernews, Usenet Farm, Newsgroup Direct) servers as well and it started off really well and was able to complete a lot of missing content from my library.
I can't see anything majorly wrong in the logs apart from Supernews timing out consistently, however when I test the server settings it completes fine, also note that this provider fails SSL verification so I set certificate checking to disabled which allows the test to pass. I have set this server as a lower priority and even tried disabling it without any change in the symptoms. My logs are just filled with pages and pages of this:

(Descriptions of fictional crimes investigated by the story's main Character Max.)
Detective's Fate
It's august of 2008.....
Max is a detective living in Chicago He checks his pistol and puts on his police badge as he walks out his front door.
He has been searching for a serial killer known as the Caller for years and always been one step behind due to the red tape.....
More importantly the chief's lazy attitude towards getting search warrants and actions approved by the courts for raids. Twice Max had good intel on the suspect's locations and photo evidence showing him at the sites.
The department needs more vigilant, caring officers and leaders but no one steps up to do it, instead they just complain about the slow progress and officers. And hinder investigations.
Now Max has decided that it might be time to stop playing by the rules and catch this scumbag.... .... ....
Starting his car Max sets his GPS to the address that "The Caller" was last seen and pulls out of his driveway as the 50 miles of directions pop up.
The killer's nickname being for his signature of calling in as he is committing the crime.
As he drives he remembers his first case, five years ago now..... ..... .....
A woman, Joane Taylor, was found dead in an alleyway after going out for the night. She showed no signs of struggle leading the police to believe she had drank to much and expired from alcohol poisoning.... ...
The death was written off as a "party gone wrong".... That is until several more were found and the coroner decided on a whim to test for other substances.
Once it came out that the deaths were possible murders...
The calls started coming in, almost like the suspect wanted credit before revealing himself....
Then ways of the deaths began changing as the Serial Killer explored his twisted desires searching for his preferred method.
The last case being a young woman found stuffed in a dumpster after the killer apparently got scared off.... Max will never forget it.... .... ....
The GPS finishes and the car beeps its final direction, taking an exit off the highway. Ramps out here are always confusing... Which is funny since he has driven this one for five years now...
The chief says he should sit this one out but he can't... The latest victim 3 months ago.
Marie Spelner, a waitress out on her smoke break talking to her spouse on the phone.
Survived by her husband, no children or living relatives. ....
Max Spelner turns into the driveway of the house he was directed to... Stepping out of the car he walks up and knocks on the door. Looking at the house he knows the family must be doing well if they live here.... Raising his hand to knock again he hears a scream from inside....
A second later the door is answered by a middle aged butler holding a tray with wine glasses on it... "Hello Sir, I'm sorry but this house does not wish to partake in any offers at this time..."
Max calmly says. "I'm not selling anything."
The butler looks confused for a moment before his eyes dart over Max's shoulder seeing his unmarked cruiser and he nods.
Looking past the butler Max sees that a woman is cleaning up after their dog.
"Have you seen this man?" Says Max holds up a picture of the one suspected of being the killer.
The butler gives it a once over before replying. "I'm sorry sir, no I have not." His tone sounds like he is lying... ....
"Are you sure?" The detective asks.
"I would not lie about something like that, sir." He states, his eyes not meeting Max's.
The woman calls from inside "Fletcher, who are you talking too?"
"Some man asking about a killer" he calls back.
"The killer is an inside job!" The woman quickly states.
"What?!" Max says.
"The Killer, it's an inside job." She says again, louder this time. In the same Max also hears a child begin to cry in another room.
"We should start from the beginning, it will be easier to explain trust me." The woman says.
'She seems to know what is going on....
"How do I know your story holds water?" He asks out loud.
"Oh I wouldn't lie. I have been following the case myself and it seems like an inside job to me." She states, somehow sounding hurt.
"Is there anyone else in the house besides you two and the baby?" He asks noticing the baby isn't crying anymore.
"Just Fletcher and I live here, the baby is my cousins but he just stays the night sometimes." She replies.
Max draws his gun and enters the house upon reasonable suspicion of an emergency in progress or suspect on the premisses as the man seems to be deceiving.
While the woman still seems unconcerned that the child is now silent.
He pushes past the butler and rushes towards the area he heard the crying. passes the entryway, the dinning room, and a kitchen before finally finding a child in a playpen.
"There there..." He says in a sing song voice picking up the child. "I'm officer Max, do you know where your mommy is?"
The child just cries louder.
Then he sees the man from the photo walk out of the bathroom, upon seeing him he bolts for the door and Max sets the child down gently then gives chase.
He runs through the house, following the man as he can hear the woman screaming at him to stop but he doesn't."
"Stop or I'll shoot." The man doesn't even break stride.
Instead he runs out of the front door and jumps into his car.
Furious that the man might escape he fires at the car as it drives away.
The back window shatters and he hopes he got his tire, but he doesn't wait to find out as he runs to his car and initiates a pursuit....
He flips on his concealed lights in his cruiser as he reverses down the drive and into the street.
The suspects car is fast but he manages to keep up with it weaving in and out of traffic as people move over for the siren.
As they approach a red light there is heavy traffic in the intersection..... ....
The suspect slams on his brakes and Max's cruiser only just stops short of hitting it. Jumping out the Detective points his firearm at the vehicle running up beside seeing heavily tinted windows.
"Get out of the car and on the ground now!!" He shouts as he moves to the driver's side door.
After seeing no response....
Max throws open the door and the driver is gone with the passenger side open.
He quickly runs to the other side catching the man trying to sneak off tackling him to the ground and then takes his arms putting them behind his back.
Max grabs his radio and calls it in as the man cries.
As he is waiting he hears a noise that sounds like static.....
"Wrong guy moron.. Did you ever stop to think I wanted you close for this one. That I planned everything...Even framing the pothead..... I almost lost interest until you pulled in the driveway... The attic is kinda cramped tho... I think I'll go carve some meat. Maybe graduate to other things to. I'm not sure yet. Lets see if you can catch me before......" A familiar voice says over the radio then cuts off... ...
Max looks at the man on the ground. "Why did you run from me?" He asks.
"Cause I have like 19 grams of marijuana in my pocket." He replies...
"Do you know how stupid that is?! I don't care about that I'm looking for a killer."
Before he can answer Max hears the woman from the house screaming for her life and a child's cries on his radio.
Then from below Max. "He's in the house, he's in the house! My mom and the baby!" The man on the ground says crying.
Max uncuffs him and runs to his car heading back to the house as he lays down rubber on the road... ... ...
As he approaches and pulls into the driveway he notices the front door is open.
"Hold on I'm coming!" Max screams jumping out of his cruiser...
He runs into the house finding the woman's body arriving too late. Moving over to her he checks for a pulse but she is gone, a large gash in her neck.
As he stands up he slips in a fluid but gains his balance and tries not to think about what it is....
He rushes to the room the baby was in finding the play pen empty. He leaves the room searching the rest of the house and still doesn't find the child.
"Where are you!!!" He calls out....
"This is the Callers first kidnapping and the media would eat up the fact I failed to stop the man." He thinks as he blames himself.
Sirens begin to blare in the distance as backup is about to arrive... ... ...
"There's a woman dead and a baby missing! The woman is in the dinning room straight ahead of the front door, Hurry!" He yells into his radio...
Looking over at the mother seeing a piece of paper on the floor.
He walks over to it seeing writing.
"So close... Looks like I'm a kidnapper now.... Good luck finding me.... And... I so enjoyed killing that sweet wife of yours. Might do it that way again. Not to the kid tho....later Max. Ps. This game is so fun.." It says.
"He was here..." Is all he can muster as the team enters.
"He was right in this house and I missed it because her son freaked over weed and ran..." He says as another officer speaks to him gently.
"Don't beat yourself up Detective, it's not your fault. He must have hid before you got her and left after you arrived." The words do little to comfort him "First day back on the job and the killer escaped taking a child..." He says as he walks away.
The chief arrives in his new lexus with a screeching of rubber as he lurches to a halt.
He quickly exits and leaves his door hanging open as he rushes into Max's face....
"I told you to stay away from this case MAX!!!!....(takes a breath)...
"If I catch any flak from my superiors, I won't suspend you.... That'd be to easy. Desk duty and an entry level demotion. The new guy will have a higher rank than you if things go my way.... Now get outta my sight...". "(Sighs)...
"This job is gonna be the death of me..." He says walking away from Max and towards the Coroner's van..... ..... .....
On the way home the detective stops by the store close to his house which is unlike him because he usually follows the same routine.
He nears the front door and he hears a kitchen timer ding loudly from behind him as his car explodes throwing him through the storefront windows as they are blown out..... .....
Alarms around the lot and others nearby create a cacophony of noise. His head pounding as his body aches, Max pushes himself up and collapses as the store manager runs over to him telling him not to move as he dials 911.... .... ....
Waking in the hospital Max recalls the feeling of the Shockwave as he flinches in phantom pain.
"Who woulda thought its like holding a ringing metal bat that hurts your hands but all over and way more intense." He thinks.
He suddenly feels tired and falls asleep.... .... .... ....
The next time he wakes, he sees a breaking news story that Jane Saltani is reporting on....
"Young toddler Accidently Shoots Serial killekidnapper ending his life and Alerting residents in the Area." The news anchor says.
Sighing to himself Max thinks about how crazy that is and laughs.
Tho he really wanted to bring the guy in. He closes his eyes to get some much needed sleep as his door opens.
Max looks up to see a man with a silenced pistol pointed at him.
"Hm. Now they think I'm dead. Funny how they just assume they got the right guy. Just like.... You did Detect... ....." Max hears but then hears no more as his end comes at just over the speed of sound....
The Caller leaves the hair of another intelligent convicted murderer that he obtained in a spot that's believable and quickly leaves.....
He disables the surveillance system and sends a virus out to any device that has received video data from the hospital.
Erasing and corrupting the systems. Leaving a master hackers finger prints on a glass from his home....
"Sorry, no witnesses." He says to the security guard as he fires... ..... ..... .... ....

It has 100 races (3 of them are Max's). He said on the beginning that you hurt Shax long ago, and he will do the payback against you. He mocks you everytime when you tried to start a race, and after you finished a race (this is very frustrating).
Jess told you that both the Porsche and GT-R were rivals when she was young, so that they are absolutely fast now.
Because Shax and Max are both British, all races are 1 Kilometre instead of œ Mile.
Tempest Finale: T5 Max's 2007 Nissan GT-R (R35): 7.000s â 6.500s â6.000s â 5.000s (Pink Slip) [All 1 Kilometre].

Max's Appearance: Very old British bald man with black sunglasses and wearing classic tuxedo.
When you actually got his GT-R (R35), the best time will be only 7.100s (œ Mile). Also your fully maxed Porsche will be only 7.000s (œ Mile).
I will post more about my other CSR2 dreams other than Tempest.

2023.05.27 15:29 s810 Old Austin Tales: Honey Bee Marshall and the Mystery Grave at Smith Creek - 1900s
Today thanks to a tip from
Faraday_Rage, I bring you a ghost story from West Lake Hills, although saying that might be a bit misleading because West Lake Hills is a mid-20th century invention and the events of this story happen mostly before that. There used to be a village called Eanes in that general area full of farmers, ranchers, and cedar choppers before it was subdivided into one of the nicer suburbs.
There was only one bridge for vehicle traffic (besides the train bridge) from Downtown into South Austin before the 1940s. Because of this, the western part of Travis County was separated from the growth of Austin and the eastern part of the county, and remained sort of a wild frontier well after the surrounding lands were settled.
Among the early settlers in that area were two brothers named Alexander and Robert Eanes. There is
a historical marker at the intersection of Red Bud Trail and Loop 360 which says the following:
Alexander Eanes (1806-1888) moved to Texas from Mississippi in 1845 and acquired this ranch by 1857. In 1873 he sold the property to his brother, Robert Eanes (1805-1895), who had moved to the area following the Civil War. A log cabin built on the Eanes ranch was the first Eanes school, and the community also assumed the Eanes name. Robert Eanes sold the ranch to his son-in-law, Hudson Boatner Marshall (1862-1951) in 1883. Marshall dismantled the ranch house and moved it to a site adjacent to the nearby creek.
So there was a man named H.B. Marshall who lived on the former Eanes Ranch with his wife Viola (Robert Eanes's daughter) and family.
H.B. Marshall was a Civil War orphan. His mom died shortly after childbirth and his dad died as part of Hood's Brigade. He spent his early life in Austin-area orphanages until he graduated high school at the age of 19. That was when the doctors of the era diagnosed him with "consumption", otherwise known as Tuberculosis today. There was no cure in the 19th century. Afflicted people were told to go live in the country and get some fresh air, and that's exactly what he did.
Lucky for him, HB's dad well fairly well off when he died and left him an inheritance. After he left the orphanage he used this money to buy the ranch from the Eanes family, met and married Viola Eanes, and started a family. Legends say a Mexican folk healer convinced him eating goat meat and drinking goat's milk was an excellent remedy for consumption, and so he raised goats.
The book
Eanes Portrait of a Community has this photo of H.B. and Viola and their dog, along a brief biographical bit:
H.B. and Viola Marshall sold honey and butter and raised goats. At one time H.B. was president of the American Goat Association and traveled to Chicago to attend that organization's national convention. There he met and talked with Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. In its early days the Ford Motor Company used mohair from goats to make a soft, long-lasting fabric which was used to upholster the seats in its "tin lizzies". H.B. Marshall was one of the company's first mohair suppliers. Later, after Bee Cave Road became a better, more reliable road, Marshall, who was a skilled printer sometimes worked in Austin at that trade.
So HB Marshall and his family were
very good at raising goats.
The Marshall Family were also beekeepers. HB liked to be called "Honey Bee" Marshall later in life. He lived the rest of his life on that ranch and died in the 1950s.
Now that you have that little bit of backstory, on with today's tale.
The following article appeared on page 21 the Austin American-Statesman on May 16, 1966:
MYSTERY
Old Grave Beside Creek
The mystery of who is buried a shallow grave beside Smith Creek, seven miles southwest of Austin, may never be solved.
With it goes a tale of a robbery and killing said to have occurred more than 60 years ago on the Bee Cave Road.
But at least one story told by a man who died last year sticks in the minds of some residents of the hill country behind Zilker Park.
The man was long-time stock man and World War I veteran John Marshall, who lived out his life on the Eanes-Marshall Ranch seven miles southwest of Austin. His story told him as a child by his father, early Travis County settler and school teacher Hudson Boatner (Honey Bee) Marshall goes something like this:
In the late 19th century, a man from Bee Caves came to Austin with a wagon load of cotton. After selling it, he was returning home when his hired hand killed him and took the money. The slain man was not found for several days, and when he was, he was buried on the spot, several hundred feel off the road.
This is the way Cecil Johnson, of 1500 West Bee Caves remembers the story. He heard it in 1956 when he and his brother-in-law, Elmo Freitag, dug into the grave and found a skeleton. Freitag and Johnson went from where they live to buy a dog killed by a car on the Marshall ranch, Johnson said. "When we found the bones, we were pretty scared," Freitag said. "We went up to the ranch house to tell John Marshall about them." "That's when John told us the story," Johnson recalls. "He said we should cover the bones back up and let the old man rest."
The story was brought to the attention of the American- Statesman by Bruce Marshall of Houston, a nephew of John Marshall and an heir to 10 acres of the old ranch land. Others who lived along Bee Caves Road, or who knew John Marshall, recall hearing him tell the story, but no one contacted so far remembers hearing the story from anyone else.
Sheriff T. O. Lang said he has no records dating back that far, Marshall was born around 1887, and Johnson said the killing and robbery occurred "before John's time."
A check into the archives in the Austin Library's Austin and Travis County Collection reveals a similar crime which occurred in 1871. On Feb. 7 of that year, according to Frank Brown's Annals of Travis County, "an old citizen" named Charles Barnes, who "lived seven miles north of Austin," was killed and robbed after he had come to town and sold a wagon load of hay. He was shot and killed "probably for his money," and his body was found 30 yards from the road, three-fourths of a mile from his dwelling. A $1,000 reward was offered for the criminal, but he was never captured.
This "official" report is quite similar to the story told by John Marshall, but the directions from Austin do not coincide.
There are descendants or a family named Cotton who live in Bee Caves, according to Miss Jessie Roy, former teacher who lives on the Rob Roy Ranch on the Bee Caves Road two miles beyond the Marshall ranch. But she said she never heard of any of them being robbed or killed. Her family moved here in the 1890s.
Conceivably, with the tale handed down by word of mouth for three generations, the name Cotton, and the product "cotton" could have gotten confused. And the Brown report, probably taken from a newspaper account, could have been mistaken about the direction (north or west) from Austin where the crime was committed.
But if the wagon load was cotton instead of hay, the crime would have occurred most likely in October, according to Austin rancher and historian Carl Widen. Widen said in the old days Austin, it usually came from the south and west, from Dripping Springs and Bee Caves, in October, "in time for the circus." "The whole family would come to town with the load of cotton usually one or two bales to a wagon and after it was sold the women bought cloth for dresses and the kids went to see the circus. Then they got back home late that night.
Another hill resident, Charles Roberts, 80, who lives on a creek near the Rob Roy ranch, said he remembered people hauling cotton in trains of three or four wagons pulled by oxen, rather than by horses or mules. And Austin resident Charles Dellana said it used to take at least four mules to pull a wagon load of corn out of the bottoms or "The Narrows" between Bee Caves Road and the Colorado River. He opined that the murder and robbery must have occurred "earlier than 1903."
Besides the Cotton family out Bee Caves way, other family names familiar to those still living are Theodore Bose, Joe Beck, the Freitags, the Teagues, the Simpsons and the Moores. But who is buried beside Smith Creek on the Marshall ranch, how he died, and when he was buried, no one seems to remember.
Well this old story was apparently told far and wide.
There was another article on that same day (May 16, 1966) in The Statesman: (h/t/
jbjjbjbb)
Ghost Hunters Have a Go at Ghosting
San Antonians Learn of Murder and Such Things on Austin Ranch
Ghosts, anyone? A strange tale of murder and theft was spottily told Saturday night by a "spirit" who was supposedly in communication with a group of ghost- hunters seven miles southwest of Austin. The ghost hunters, five people from San Antonio, gath ered on the old Marshall Ranch in West Lake Hills with two news reporters. They apparently believed they were communicating with a ghost named Tom Burns.
"Margaret, Margaret, Margaret," the ghost kept repeating through the automatic-writing technique of Mrs. Joan McKee, wife of Don McKee. McKee is manager of the Builders Exchange of Texas, in San Antonio. He and his wife say they are "student" parapsychologists. Spelling out the name of Margaret Owens, Tom Burns said, "She is dead now. She is my love."
The names of Margaret Owens and Tom Burns were interpreted by the McKees from an almost indecipherable scrawl which Mrs. McKee transmitted to sheet after sheet of paper with a pencil, while her husband held her elbow. They were seated at a table in the single upper room of the old Marshall ranch house. With them were this reporter, ranch owner and Houston Post business writer Bruce Marshall, and San Antonio residents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gibson, Mr. and Mrs. John Mac-Donald, and Mrs. Mary K. Cook. The only light in the room came from a lantern.
"Burns" said Margaret "Owens" was buried on a mountain top east of the ranch, and had been killed in or near some water. Burns also said he had been killed by three men on a road near the ranch as he was hauling a wagon load of hay. Placing the date at 1904, possibly on a Monday, he said he was shot as he got down off the wagon to move a rock that was in the way.
Although at least two other spirits were supposedly contacted beyond the pale, that of Burns appeared to be the most communicative and the most interesting. It was either Burns, or a ghost named Nathan Anderson who spoke of a John Anderson who came "often" to the ranch to drink "rum from South America" with Robert Eanes.
Eanes, according to Marshall, was the first man in the family to own the ranch property. He died in the 19th century and is buried in a family plot on a hill near the ranch house. Marshall said later there had been a man named John Anderson who was a friend of the Eanes family. Marshall and this reporter have established, from local folklore and from written records, that a man, possibly named Charles Barnes, was killed seven miles from Austin around 1871, after selling a load of ether cotton or hay in town.
There is a grave of an unknown man beside Smith Creek on the Marshal ranch, not far off the Bee Caves Road, which is seven miles from Austin. Neither Marshall nor this reporter have verified that the grave on Smith Creek is the one in which the robbery victim was buried, but the coincidences of the known facts leaves room for speculation that it may be the one.
Burns said he had worked for a man named Cotton Roberts, and that Roberts had worked for a man possibly named Mitchell Treadwell. The name of Treadwell first came to the attention of the group when MacDonald, a former announcer for KONO-TV, fell into a trance through what was called auto-hypnosis. He said he got the name from a ghost present in the room, and that he also received "an impression" of the dates 1890 to 1901. Marshall later disclosed that the old ranch house had been built sometime between 1890 and 1905.
The name "Mitchell" was written on the paper when one of the persons asked aloud, "Does the name Treadwell mean anything to you?" Burns also spoke of his mother, naming her variously Mary Markham, Marstur, Masters and Markem, who he said had been sick in a barn and subsequently died.
Mention was made of a bearded man who wore a big hat and was deaf in one ear, of a box buried beneath a barn, and of wild mohair goats. Marshall said the last man to live on the ranch, his late uncle John Marshall, found a hole on the ranch about 30 years ago where a box apparently had been buried. This was when Miriam A. Ferguson was governor of Texas, he said.
He also said a bearded deaf man had once been a ranch hand there and that John Marshall's father, H. B. Marshall, had raised Angora goats on the ranch. Burns said Roberts had buried the box, and he (Burns) had dug it up. "Money means death," came the scrawled message on the paper.
Two of the most dramatic events of the evening occurred when the McKees tried to communicate with a ghost named "Robert" Both of them believed the ghost to be that of Robert Eanes, whom they described as having a very powerful, domineering personality. Mrs. McKee broke down and could write no more after transcribing the words, "My time is up now. Many have come but nobody will listen." Later McKee tried to communicate, and apparently went into a trance after receiving the word "yes" to the question of whether "Robert" had been born in July.
Just before McKee went into a trance, Marshall and this reporter were curious to notice that a strong wind the only one noticed during the entire night rattled the eaves of the house for about a minute.
The time was shortly after midnight Mrs. Cook, who writes radio and TV commercials, took down the following from McKee's barely audible words: "I have many children. I am as Abraham I shan't stay around where my people don't want me. It is dark. Darkness is in the land. We shall bring light."
Further efforts to communicate with "Robert" failed. After this incident, the "ghosts" seemed to leave the parapsychologists and their fellow delvers into ESP (extra-sensory perception).
A long vigil at the family cemetery until almost dawn proved fruitless. Gibson, sales manager for Pratt and Lambert varnish makers, whose supposedly "haunted" house in San Antonio was the subject of a Houston Post story several months ago, conceded with high good humor that he had seen no ghosts Saturday night "But Robert was around," he affirmed confidently.
Marshall and this reporter scratched their heads, totaling up the number of "unexplainable coincidences" which made the night at least a little provocative if not downright exciting. It would take a patient historian to check the names listed. As for the "ghosts" well, who knows?
H.B. Marshall had a son named John and he in turn had a son named Bruce. Bruce Marshall was an artist who spent most of his time in Houston
but moved back to the family ranch in 1974. Marshall recounted the story of the 1966 ghost hunt
in this 1983 article:
THE SEARCH FOR ghosts is not uncommon with visitors to the Marshall Ranch off Loop 360 South. It is the home of artist Bruce Marshall and his family and nine ghosts, those of seven people and two horses.
Marshall studio and gallery is a restored, pre-Civil War ancestral home located next to the family residence. Parapsychologists visited the building in 1966 and declared it to be haunted by a man who was attacked, shot and killed near the original entrance of the ranch. The ghost of the dead man, whose unmarked grave is still on the ranch, reportedly told the ghosts hunters about his fate. The ghost also admitted that he had committed murder, killing a woman named Margaret by drowning her.
There are two creeks near the ranchhouse that are the source of several other ghost stories.
"SUPPOSEDLY ONE GHOST walks the creek towards Eanes (Elementary) school calling for someone," said Marshall. "There were some kids camping near the creek about six months ago, they heard dogs barking and the noise of a wagon drawn by horses. The wagon has no driver and follows an old road which used to connect to Bee Cave Road."
Marshall said his family tries to play down the ghosts tales surrounding his homestead. "If we really become convinced that we're haunted, we really lose our enjoyment of the place. People seeking ghosts out here are very unwelcome," he said. "If there are such things, they don't bother me. They like me. They probably feel that if I go, the house goes, the property changes, and they're evicted.
In 1999 Marshall sold the house and the ranch to The Eanes Historical Society, who moved it next to the current location of Eanes Elementary School, where it has become the home of the EHS and serves as a small museum today.
So who is in the mystery grave at Smith Creek? I found one lead.
Back in February of 1916 a 20-year-old man named Albert Cook had an unfortunate accident and was killed.
The Statesman reported it like so:
While setting a wolf trap on the Marshall goat ranch, eight miles from Austin, Alfred Lee Cook, 20 years old, accidentally shot and killed himself at 8:30 Friday morning, a charge of buck-shot from the left barrel of a double-barrelled shotgun entering his abdomen.
Cook was a laborer on the Marshall ranch, near Summitt. Early Friday morning he attempted to set a steel trap for wolves. He was carrying a shotgun and was accompanied by two small boys.
Setting his shotgun, both barrels of which were loaded, against a bush, he advanced to the trap. The gun fell across his path and he shoved it aside. As he did so, in some way the left barrel of the gun was discharged, the entire charge taking effect in his abdomen at short range and badly lacerating his body. Death was almost Instantaneous.
Justice of the Peace George W. Mendell, Deputy Sheriff Jim McCoy and Deputy Constable Matt Turner went to Summitt this morning for the Inquest. Justlce Mendell rendered a verdict of accidental shooting. The name of one surviving relative was reported to the Justice of the Peace, being Mrs. Rebecca Ann Brown, mother of the young man
Is this the person in the grave? I can't say for sure without DNA testing, but poor Mr. Cook might be the best candidate.
Time is short and space is long today so I'll leave it there. The Eanes-Marshall house today is called the Eanes History Center, and sits next to Eanes Elementary School at 4101 Bee Caves Rd. Bonus Items to follow:

2023.05.27 14:20 Chernablogger Boebert is Suspicious...
2023.05.27 11:59 partylikeyossarian The things I don't say to white people, things I don't say to straight people
There are a lot of life experiences I share easily with other marginalized folks, that I've always instinctively never spoken about with individuals from the dominant groups. It's a strange double world, where events like getting 911-Karen'd, getting pushed into conversion therapy, etc. -- are major news items that immediately get broadcasted to friends and even mere acquaintances within the community. But to everyone else I put on normie face like nothing has happened, even while my psyche crumbles and my life gets totally rearranged.
Every time I'd consciously breached the boundaries of this double world, the reactions I got were nasty, tragic, predictable--and relationship-ending.
Sometimes I think about all those individuals I've known in my life, who considered us close friends, who told me they could tell me anything, individuals who thought they were woke...sometimes I think about what is totally invisible to them. I think about the intimacy they feel standing in the same room, sharing the same air with people they "love and care about", and the oceans of reality that they can never become aware of.
The reality of navigating thoughtless assumptions, subtle bigotries, overt violence...these fundamental components of my existence that can never exist on the other side of this seemingly impenetrable barrier that is whiteness, heteronormativity.
It makes me sad to think that privilege to them is unasked-for advantage, a stroke of luck, a source of unearned guilt. But even as they implore me to understand how having privilege makes them feel--they cannot be compelled to muster the effort to understand what it means to me:
That privilege means becoming a shadow wherever I cross into that walled garden, a garden I must interact with to eke out material survival, tiptoeing through like a forever-stranger. Privilege asks me to serve under a map of reality drawn from their stories, where my stories are just ghosts haunting the edges of their peripheral vision, to be feared, to be resented, to be banished from the light.

2023.05.27 04:48 mostreliablebottle If Best Picture was decided by Critics Polls (1940-2021)
Roughly 7 years ago
u/TheGreatZiegfeld did an experiment of a post to determine what the best films of each year would be from 1940 to 2011 (before the 2012 S&S polls).
With the recently updated TSPDT and the 2022 S&S list, I decided to do the same from 1940 to 2021 regarding what critics thought were the best of each year.
Keep in mind this is all from a critics' poll, not from one specific critic's list. Also no short films or miniseries (meaning no Twin Peaks or Meshes of the Afternoon), as well as those from 2022 and beyond because of the last S&S poll.

2023.05.27 03:26 Seekay5 Jack in the box!
So LE has their man, BK. They claim he acted alone. In steps NewsNation, Dateline, You Tubers to push unconfirmed sources. All in a way to create the single killer theory. Sort of like when JFK got shot. It was one man. With magical bullets. He also acted alone. They want you to believe BK (without any confirmed Special Ops training) sneaked in this house and killed 4 on two floors, without alerting two roommates. He prevented any of the 4 from screaming or attempting to dial 911. Then he was lucky enough, that 911 was no called for 8 hours! What are the odds?
I think BK was possibly part of this is some way. Either he was involved and was there as a witness to what happened. We are though supposed to believe all this was the result of one man's lust over one girl (though they wont state who the target was)
You also have to ignore other things. Some things which just don't fit their narrative but is highly questionable. An really the only reason to not consider them is LE states only 1 person did this.
I didn't personally know any of the victims. The victims families or even anyone from Moscow, let alone Idaho. I have no connection to BK. This is just theory. Speculation on my part.
Dave confirms LE did not question the band field kids in the body cam video. Nobody at his Frat was questioned. The trash dumpster was not searched. Inhan Harsh said he was not questioned as a suspect. He was asked if he heard anything. An he lived near the king road house.
There are strange things surrounding Jack D. 3 weeks after his relationship with his ex ended she is murdered. Any other case like this he might of been brought in a few times for questioning. He would of a least publicly would of been named a person of interest. Was he ever?
Wasn't early on the story was he was sleeping? If I recall, someone said he went to bed at 11pm. I can't confirm that, but if he did you telling me he slept 13 hours and did not get any of the early chats or a txt from someone?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGVbqUazri0&t=2386s When Jack is brought up in the interview. Kaylee's sister sorta changes her train of thought mid sentence. Steve shakes his head.
Then it was confirmed by Kaylee's family on the above video he was at corner club. He was tired he worked all day her mom says. Yet didn't Dave claim he and Adam went to play video games all night? An some guy was their alibi? So Jack does not walk with them to Grub truck or share a ride. Jack S walks with them. If Jack wasn't sleeping why didn't he answer his phone? He is was in love and wanted Kaylee, she was his one true love... why didnt he answer?
Then "what did you tell Adam" incident happens. Which was pushed off as nothing. Another thing about that clip. Weeks earlier the Vape store guy was claiming Kaylee's friends were hinting she was being stalked. They would walk behind her. Protect her. Yet they walk drunk to the food truck at night? Was Jack S asked because Jack D declined?
The KG family even claim in the above video they were suspect of Jack D. Checked him for scratches. Questioned him. Checked his shoes. Jack convinced them, but I have not heard from Jack, myself. He has been quiet.
Go back to the morning of the murder. Kaylee's mom says "Jack would of called" if something happened to Kaylee. He didn't. where was he?
They hint that not only Kaylee and Maddie called Jack that morning, but sent txts. Making reference if he didn't pick up the phone she was leaving town tonight.
Jack D has not made a statement as far as I know. Not through a lawyer.
Jake, Maddie's BF. Spoke at the memorial (and he was hurting) he even commented a month ago about losing Maddie. Why hasn't Jack? He passed at the memorial.
Then Steve sorta gives Jack D a look at the end when he approaches KG's mom at the memorial. Jack is never introduced by the Goncalves family at the memorial. No mention of him. He stands there. Jack is family, though. huh
I really believe KG's mom loves Jack. She talked about them getting married eventually and having kids. His sister mentioned he watched their kids. That's not a crime of passion. An BK mentioned to his neighbor he thought the 4 murders on King road were a crime of passion.
In the video above they mention Kaylee went on a date in which some guy called her a bitch. Was this guy ever checked out, confirmed by LE ? Probably not. So Jack was ok with that? Seems kinda soon after they broke up she went out with another guy.
She was going on a European trip and posted on Facebook about getting a roommate in Austin for 4 months. Jack didn't seem like he was in her immediate plans. She was moving on at least for now. More than likely once she was in Austin she would of continued dating.
I'm not saying Jack D killed the 4 victims in the King road house, but there is a fair share of stuff about him that don't make sense. Almost as much as BK being the killer and acting alone.
That's really the issue with this case. Too many cleared too quickly. Focused on one person in an effort to HOPE they got the right guy. An if they didn't, well we will just leak unconfirmed rumors to get a biased jury.

Obama. Oh, fuck you, Donnie. I hate you so goddamn much, you pussy ass bitch. I'm just saying what we're all fucking thinking, Joe. Quite fitting that you rap so well and call yourself AMC because you look like an extra from an episode of The Walking Fucking Dead, my friend. And it ain't fucking pretty. Fuck you, Donnie. You don't deserve my bars.
00:28:01:12 - 00:28:19:17

Oh, well, thank fucking God for that. Because you might rap like 50 Cent, but you got $0.00 in that puddle of piss you call a brain, you sentient fucking vegetable. Oh, we're getting fucking banned for sure today, fellas. Whatever, Donnie, you can bring whoever the fuck you like to the table and you'll both be served some knuckle fucking sandwiches.
00:28:19:24 - 00:28:38:29

Knuckle sandwiches? Yeah, that's right. What are you, a fucking supervillain from the fifties? You belong in a Batman comic, Joe. You know, considering you're absolutely batshit fucking crazy. Fuck you. Jesus fucking Christ, my man. Get it together. This is exactly the type of shit that gets our videos pulled from the platform. Donnie. Yeah, Donnie, Give it a fucking rest, my guy.
00:28:38:29 - 00:28:57:19
Unknown
For the love of God, I'm begging you. You know what, Obama? You and Joe seem to share the same fucking sentiments so much that I could almost call you twins. Twins? Yeah. And it's a good thing, too, because in case you haven't figured it out yet, I got a good fucking pal who's got some history with twins. And I know that he's just itching to send a fucking plane your way.
00:28:57:23 - 00:29:09:19

Well, I guess I kind of forgot about that. Yes, gentlemen, it's true. There's a hostage situation. President Sleepy Joe sleep in. Is being held captive by his own fucking Alzheimer's. Oh, fuck off, Donnie.
00:29:30:17 - 00:29:45:29

The only person who's being held captive around here is your fucking wife. Hey, now, never go after a man's wife, Joseph. That's just un-Christian. Yeah, but his towers are fair. Fucking game, right, Georgie boy? I plead the Fifth. Look, Yvonne is a prisoner of fucking war. There's no two ways about it. Oh, give me a fucking break, Joe.

I hear the Czech Republic are trying to negotiate her safe passage home as we fucking speak, you guys. Hot damn, Joe, that one was stone cold. Yeah, he's right, Joe. You are stone cold. Stone cold. Steve Austin. So fucking ferocious. Fuck you, Donnie. You look like what you'd get if an open loompa had sex with Mrs. Fucking PA from SpongeBob, you freak of fucking nature.
00:30:04:19 - 00:30:20:15
Unknown
Oh, I'm the freak of nature. I don't know why I expect anything less any more. I swear to God. You all be mad. Mad? Yeah. Joe is mad. Mad Brock. He's got a brain like a half melted fucking ice cream cone. Vanilla for me, please. I don't like chocolate. And yet, Camilla Harris is your second in command. How's that fucking work?
00:30:20:16 - 00:30:43:29
Unknown
Oh, you bugging for that one? Donald Trump can pumpkin looking ass straight, goofy. Are we still getting ice cream or not? You know what, Bush? I'm glad you're here. For a minute there, I almost forgot you existed. Oh. Ha, ha. Joseph, where have you been living? Somewhere with the rest of al Qaeda, Right. At least he hasn't been living in whatever fucking broom closet they stuff you in when you aren't mumbling your way through a presidential fucking address, Joe.
00:30:44:00 - 00:31:03:19
Unknown
Oh, back off, Donnie. No, he's right, Barack. I have been in the broom closet. That's how I swept the fucking floor with you during the last fucking election. Donna, you fucking hairless looking orangutan. Well, it's too bad that since then you seem to have fallen a few ballots short of a rigged fucking election. Joe and I ain't talking about the polls if you catch my fucking meaning.
00:31:03:23 - 00:31:23:24
Unknown
How about you catch these fucking hands instead, Donnie? Oh, I'd like to see you try, Joe, you brittle fucking bitch. You'd have better luck cracking the fucking Da Vinci Code, my man. Honestly, you look like you're made entirely out of paper fucking mush. It's a wonder they haven't accidentally recycled your ass by now. You mean like, how you recycle the same shit house fucking jokes?
00:31:23:24 - 00:31:41:16
Unknown
Donny, You're the gift that keeps on giving. Well, it's a good thing you've got about one more sleep till Christmas, then. Joe, you nocturnal fucking zebra. You. Oh, quit your fucking bitch. And Donna, you were the worst president in this server. Allegedly. Yeah, for real. Joe has had fucking dementia episodes that have lasted longer than you did in office.
00:31:41:16 - 00:32:01:13
Unknown
Donald. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Friendly fire. Friendly fire. My bad. Gee, I didn't mean for you to catch the strays. I got carried away. That's on me. Mighty noble of you to come to the defense of your ex fucking butler, Obama. I'm sure he served you and Michelle well back in 28. 28. God, those were the days. That was some damn good Coca-Cola, son.
00:32:01:17 - 00:32:20:12
Unknown
More like cuckoo fucking cola, Joe, you dilapidated fucking pigeon. You're one more insult away from getting all the smoke, Donnie. Keep it. Push it, pimp. You don't want none, homie. Yeah. Donnie Because I'm six foot of pure Pennsylvania fucking pussy slayer. Don't make me take your bitch now you're here for God fucking sake. Doesn't anyone know how to shut this guy up?
00:32:20:14 - 00:32:38:08
Unknown
Someone please get this fucking puppy a new chew toy, for crying out loud. Keep running your fucking mouth, Donnie. And I might just have to fucking throw a punch. You nobody says throw punch anymore. Joe. What? Have you been living under a rock? Wait, wait, wait. I thought we finally fucking left a rock. Oh, dear God, Joe. All of my hard work fucking wasted.
00:32:38:13 - 00:32:55:19
Unknown
I can't even keep up with you, Joe. You nimble little hamster. You. Honestly, this guy blows my mind harder than Lee Harvey Oswald blew JFK and he blew that shit right off. I ain't got fucking time for this, Donnie. I'm having the Clintons over for dinner, so I'm out. But if you run your mouth again, you have my word.
00:32:55:21 - 00:33:02:19
Unknown
I'll send you Collapsing harder than Bush collapsed the World Trade Center back in 2001, allegedly.
00:33:02:19 - 00:33:21:00
Unknown
All right, fellas. Enough of the fucking flame wars. Can we please play the fucking objective today? We're zero in six and games of Sandy this year and have a higher KD against each other than we do against any other team. Now, now, that's not entirely true, Barak. Last I checked, Bush has a CD of 2996 that dates back to September 2001.
00:33:21:07 - 00:33:39:07
Unknown
Just plant the fucking bomb, would you, Joseph? Oh, yeah. You know all about planting bombs, right, Georgie boy? Under the advice of my attorney, I invoke my Fifth Amendment privilege against self incineration. It's self-incrimination, George. Incineration is what you did to collapse the fucking towers, my guy. Wait, wait, guys. Is that an AC 130? Who the fuck is Tracy Van?
00:33:39:07 - 00:33:59:22
Unknown
Ernie? Wait. Where? Donnie. I can't see Shit. Oh, wait. Never mind, you guys. It's just Barack Obama, the orphan bomber flying overhead. Looks like our citizens are safe. This is exactly why they keep censoring our fucking talks. Donnie. First they removed our video. Now they're muting our sounds. We need to tone it down. Oh, fuck that, Barack. Let's give the people what they want.
00:33:59:25 - 00:34:23:04
Unknown
If Tick Tock won't let us give the people an all out fucking demolition derby, then I say we find a platform that will. I'm with Trump on this one. What have you got in mind, Donny? Three words, gentlemen. Presidential fucking YouTube. Oh, no. Does that mean another fucking password? I'm running out of numbers to put after Biden rocks lol.

2023.05.27 00:41 snkhuong So Diablo 4 is an MMO?
I thought it wasn't but I keep seeing people in this sub say stuff like 'D4 is the only MMO worth looking forward to this year'. Especially after news of Blue protocol being delayed and throne liberty being trash, I've seen quite a few people say D4 is the only thing left for 2023
I haven't seen much footage of D4 but seems like they have a shared world now? so is it like Lost ark now ?
