2023.05.28 09:15 reddmeat Temporary accommodations for wheelchair-bound cousin in Indiranagar
My cousin has a 2-month internship near New Horizon on 1st Cross in Indiranagar. He is in need of accommodation that would be wheelchair friendly, and reasonably priced as his mother will need to stay with him. The usual PGs are not designed for families, rentals won't give out for short periods, and hotels are going to be expensive.
Any suggestions for where he might be able to find accommodation?

2023.05.28 09:10 nopressuredogonly I need moral support with people’s reaction to my crazy teenager
So I have a teenage mutant ninja Aussie named Sirius who is now 8 months old. He is a LOT to handle, especially as we live in the city, but all in all, I’m happy to say, he is now pretty cool to be around for me, and our trainers (we have 2) also say we are doing nice for his breed and age.
However, as is inevitable for a young hyperactive shepherd, he has tons of protective and herding instincts, and sometimes they bite me in the ass (pretty literally). I know I’m doing everything I could, I know it just takes patience from me, maturing from him, and repetition from us both, but God I get so frustrated when he is acting up around other people. Sometimes he is barky, sometimes he decides he needs to lunge on everyone in the 10 meters vicinity of himself, sometimes he forgets he can live for 2 hours without me and tries to get out of the window when I leave. But what gets me is that all the time, people around are criticising me, giving unsolicited advice, opening up with “You know you should train your dog, right?”and threatening to report me to I don’t even know whom.
I mean, you could say he looks adult when he’s really a puppy and that’s what makes people judge, but actually where I live, in Germany, people, especially neighbours, didn’t give me any grace period even for his baby puppy stage, complaining about we go on potty breaks near the house too often or asking whether I’m aware that crating is considered torture.
I know I do inconvenience people sometimes, and I can imagine it sucks for them, but why do they need to be so rude and devoid of empathy? Every single accident is nothing in itself, but over time, it accumulates into this notion of “I’m doing everything I can, and am everyday reminded it’s not enough”.
At the moment, we’re on a vacation with him. I think in part I want to be away from home just to catch a break from being judged all the time. But of course travelling is also stressful. Yesterday I left him in our hotel room for 1.5 hours to go to dinner, and I know he barked for a few minutes and then stopped. And just now we were returning from a walk, and we stumbled upon some other guests who screamed at me: “this DOG!!! Barked yesterday! For HOURS!”.
And I’m sitting in my room crying because I just can’t take it anymore… I know it’s probably a me issue as I used to try to be invisible and convenient to people all my life, but I’m so so tired of inconveniencing everyone and being chastised for it…
Please, if you have some words of support for me, or advice that could help in communication with people about unwanted dog behaviour, I would be so grateful to hear it!!

2023.05.28 08:55 indyblackwell Should I be concerned about my daughter’s symptoms?
My daughter is 14. She is diagnosed with clinical depression, GAD, and ADHD. All these diagnoses make sense, but they seem like they came out of nowhere. For example, she had no problem with things like loud noises when she was little, but now she flinches when fireworks go off and can't sleep if there is thunder. She has always stimmed, but it has become significantly more noticeable within the last year or so. She also used to be very sarcastic, but is no longer able to identify when people are being sarcastic and often needs to ask for clarification. She became much more blatant, and needs more time to process what someone says than before. She's always had hyperfixations, but less severe than they are now. She researches medical information for fun and likes telling people facts about mental conditions, but often makes people uncomfortable as she doesn't always know the right time to bring something up. She is also very into theatre. One of her favorite shows is Newsies. This was her first really noticeable thing. Sometime last year she began listening to the music and watching the proshot everyday during summer break. In her room I heard it playing today, and she rewatched it 3 times in a row before going to bed. She also has specific Youtube videos she watches every night to go to bed. I know she isn't faking or exaggerating, she's not the type to want that attention. I'm just a little unsure of what to do. Is this something I should be concerned about?

2023.05.28 08:46 isthatsoman How can I feel loved and lovable without needing outside (3D) confirmation?
How do I love myself when I haven't had much experience of people showing me love over the years.
What does it mean to "love yourself"?
How does one "love themselves" strongly or sufficiently enough to allow external love (like a relationship) to manifest?
How can I love my weird quirks when I've had a lifetime of memories/experiences where those quirks were frowned upon by the people I called my friends or family (i.e. parents/sibling).
A BIT OF BACKGROUND (For those who like details lol)
I’m in my mid 30s now, and I don’t have a loving family (anymore). Well, I haven’t really had any direct family love since my mom passed away about 10 years ago. But, even prior to that our relationship was a kinda mixed. I knew she loved me, but I also didn’t like that she tried to control/manipulate me (instead of appreciating me for who I was) and so even then I would distance myself intuitively feeling this was toxic. The rest of my extended family lives thousands of miles away in another country. I do talk to them every few weeks, but I haven’t seen most of them in person in over 14 years.
Nor have I had any serious romantic/love relationship. I have yet to say "I love you" to anyone in that way. Would be a first when it happens (hopefully soon).
I give this context because I feel like for the majority of people I know they get their reference of love from how their family treats them (even if it’s one or two people). Or from their partners/relationships.
I instead grew up with a very conditional-love step-father and house hold. And especially ever since my mom passed, I’ve noticed myself internalize the notion that “if I don’t earn it” then I’m not “worthy” –– and the trouble with that is depending on what mood I’m in, there’s always “something more I can do” to “earn it”. It’s a slippery slope.
What can I do to reframe and turn this ship around?
The main thing motivating me to align myself right now is to manifest a relationship. I’d love to manifest someone to love and be loved by. I feel like I have a lot to give and would be a fantastic boyfriend to someone. From my readings I’ve learned that the work to do that though is to first feel lovable yourself.
And I admit... I’m not sure how to do that. Like I don’t sit there and hate on myself or anything, but I admit that whenever I meet someone who appreciates me somehow I feel so much more confident and lovable than I do by default, day to day.
I’ve been actively hoping to manifest a loving relationship for 8 years now and it still hasn’t manifested.
Clearly there are some internal beliefs holding me back – I’m just extra motivated now to get to the bottom of it so that I can move into the next phase of my life successfully and in a healthy way.
"Getting too old for this sh*tt..."
Thank you very much for any input and thoughts! :)
Note, I'm not perfect by any means, but I've spent a great deal of time and energy working on myself and experiencing life. I legitimately see myself as a really capable human being with a lot to offer this world. At least intellectually I feel like I shouldn't be having this much trouble manifesting love/relationships in life – I'm not sure what exactly is holding me back. It seems invisible.
(I have a regular spiritual practice and already meditate frequently, practice yoga nearly daily (legitimately, I'm a fan) – I’m in excellent health overall, I work out regularly, still in college level athletic shape. Objectively speaking I am tall 6'2, got blue eyes, 6 figure remote job, I got music and artistic talent that I’ve been very much complimented on over the years. I’ve traveled and lived in other countries.)
Err.. not trying to boast or anything... I write all this because I think “objectively” speaking I would make for an amazing partner for someone out there.
But... I get it, I get it... this is an internal work.
(+ thank you in advance!)

2023.05.28 08:43 Jjangta [PC] [2000s] A game where you grow plants and have bugs as collectibles
Platform(s): PC, I think they ported it to mobile at some point.
Estimated Year of Release: Sometime in the 2000s, but I'm not certain about this
Graphic/art style: I honestly cannot remember whether it was pixelated or painterly. I remember more about mechanics.
Notable Characters: None
Notable gameplay mechanics: The gameplay loop is like this: - You get seeds. - You plant them in pots, water the pots, plant the seeds. - You breed or crossbreed the plants when they grow up. You take the seeds and sell the adult plants in a shop in a separate screen once they cannot produce any more seeds. You cannot interact with your plants while you are selling plants. - You plant your new seeds and continue to crossbreed them.
- On the title page, you could choose to freeze time, run it at half speed, or normally. I don't remember whether you could pick this while the game is running, or if you had to back out.
- In the game, there's a water pipe or something on the bottom edge of the screen (?) that you could click, and it would give you tips.
- I think the end goal is to somehow crossbreed seven specific plants, and each of these plants give you boosts to your game.
- Occasionally, bugs crawl or fly across your screen. You can buy a net and catch them, and they will go into your collection. Duplicate bugs get automatically sold. The collection screen is a room of jars, and if you click on a jar with a bug in it the bug will run/fly back and forth.
- I believe the pots were in 4 rows of 5, and came in multiple patterns. You could reorder them any time.
- You could prune the plants as you like, mostly to cut off dead leaves. If you hovered over the plant part, it would slowly flash white.
- If you forgot to water your plants, the plants would die, and you have to bin them.
- You had a small inventory system near your top left where I think you had seven slots, and a larger inventory that took up the whole screen. I think you had to buy to unlock more inventory slots.
- In the shop, you could buy seeds, upgrades for clippers, bug nets, fertilizer(?) and soil, and various decorations for the screen you sell plants on. The initial color for the upgrades are green, and the next stage up is blue.
Other details: - I believe the same company made a game where you looked after fish, with similar mechanics of caring for them, cross breeding, and finding seven specific fish. I think they also had a game about shipwrecked people finding the secrets of an island.

2023.05.28 08:42 xZODGhostx [M4F] An alter little mermaid story!
I'm looking for someone to play as mermaid! Possibly instead of the cliché Ariel knock off, I want this mermaid to be different! Possibly a different version of Ariel? I am more than happy to discuss about the character! Any who, I will talk more about the plot once our characters are finalized but you should get to know me first! Hi, my name is ZOD and I am 22 years old! I do have dyslexia so I do not understand my writing, I am happy to communicate and fix any problem! But to add on for what I am looking writing wise: 3rd person and at least 2 para or more! Plus please be 18+!
And here’s the starter!
It was a late night for the ships but this was a special occasion! It was Cole’s birthday! Cole was old enough to run his own kingdom and his palace was nearly complete! It was perfect time celebrate on the sea since Cole was fascinated by myth of King Triton, a king merman ruled over a kingdom full of merpeople. Yet on the boat, the night was just getting started as people began to pull out the alcohol and the gifts that was given out of appreciation of being one of the best prince. Cole was sterling the ship as they were more to sea. “Alright crew! You may set off the fireworks and let the party begin!” He yelled to them as the crew began to set off fireworks in the sky, letting the sky light up in bright colors. Which soon began to drink and dance to the music was provided by Cole. He laughed as he danced around like a fool along with some of his closes members who have worked with for ages now. Yet what bother him was the lack of being high alert. Partying is one thing but being safe should be above that! If one thing slips, all could be doom for this royal ship! Little did he know, a young mermaids was watching him on his ship, out of sight and easy to slip away if caught.
Thanks for reading! If you are interested in this rp, I just ask to have these when you dm me! All I ask is little a bit about you like your age, etc. Then a example of your writing and finally, maybe a quote from the little mermaid? :) that last part is not important but you if do, I will appreciate it!!

2023.05.28 08:33 -Bonjour-- More Madeir
From my travel report (2014):
The second trip to Madeira we made to escape the winter. The weather was like a moody diva in winter. It changes not only from day to day, but also within a few hours. So you can never plan anything for the next day, because you should not think, today it is so nice and sunny and warm, it will be the same tomorrow. But if you are unlucky, the next morning it will be completely cloudy, only to possibly be sunny again in the afternoon.
It is always a pleasure to stroll in FUNCHAL's old town. Here times an ice cream to eat, there a coffee possibly with Nata to take. But this should be done when there are no cruise ships in the harbor. Then you see fortunately more locals than tourists in the streets.
For football fans: Christiano Ronaldo, who comes from Madeira, now has his own museum in Funchal - eagerly visited by his - mostly young - supporters...
Funchal is spreading out more and more - the slopes all around are already built on, and in the hotel zone construction continues eagerly. Although it is obvious that in the newly built apartment houses still very many apartments are empty.
The first two weeks we booked apartment at about 350 m altitude with a beautiful view of Funchal. The disadvantage was that it became - especially in the evening - but quite cool. Fortunately we had not only an electric heater but also a fireplace in the apartment.
From up here you can see how Funchal has grown in recent years. It is a huge sea of houses, which goes up to all the adjacent hills.
For the second part of our stay we had chosen an apartment house at Praia do Formosa with direct view to the sea and also to Cabo Girao.
One of the most beautiful and varied gardens of Madeira is located only about 9 km east of Funchal: the Palheiro or Blandy's Gardens. In 1801, the property was purchased by Count Carvalhal. A hunting lodge was built and the count had exotic trees imported from all over the world. The count's descendants squandered the fortune, and so in 1885 the estate became the property of the Blandy family of wine merchants. The villa above the garden is still inhabited by the Blandy family and is not accessible.
The gardens are famous not only for the variety of (often exotic) plants but also for their location on a 500 m high hill with a magnificent view of the bay of Funchal. The Count's hunting lodge was renovated in 1997 and is now the exclusive hotel "Quinta Velha do Palheiro".
The gardens are divided into the main garden, the sunken garden, the valley of hell (Inferno) with mighty fern trees, the rose garden, the ladies garden and the tea house area. There are also ponds with water lilies and beautiful flower beds.
Some of the numerous trees are 100 years old. The garden has been constantly developed. Hibiscus, bougainvilleas, jacaranda, African tulip trees, coral trees and orchid trees grow here. The Blandy family imported proteas from South Africa and had a rose garden planted and a small baroque chapel built. The gardens are also famous for their numerous camellias and magnolias.
The orchid garden, created by an Austrian, apparently has more than 5000 plants and is located below the botanical garden. At the moment the orchid garden is closed, because in the big fire of 2016 in Funchal not only many houses were destroyed, but also great damage was done to the orchid garden.
Carnival is also celebrated in Madeira and by chance we saw a children's parade. It was interesting to see with which eagerness the children were partly "there". Therefore, there will probably be no problem with carnivalistic offspring in Funchal.
The town of RIBEIRA BRAVA is located at the mouth of a wide - sometimes wild (brava) river (ribeira). From Funchal there is a highway to get there. In Ribeira Brava there is a wide pebble beach, and on the other side of the promenade there are cafes and restaurants. In the historic center there are small stores, and here is also the pink town hall from the late 18th century
The Igreja de Sao Bento was built as early as 1440, but was given a new look during the Baroque period. The spire with the white-blue tile pattern and the sphere symbol of the Portuguese explorers is striking.
We still drove to Punta do Sol. This place lies between two high rocky capes. In the old core there are only a few houses and the church, behind it already begin the terraced banana fields. There is a pebble beach and on the promenade you can have a drink in small cafes. Except for us, there were hardly any tourists in the village. But here we drank the best poncha on the island. Poncha (made of honey, lemon juice and sugar cane brandy) is a kind of national drink on Madeira.
The village of Camara de Lobos - situated between two rocky cliffs - is only 9 km away from Funchal. Camara de Lobos is still a typical fishing village with the many colorful boats (xavelhas) that you can admire in the small harbor. A small church was built at the harbor early on, this was remodeled in 1420 and the current Capella Nossa Senhora de Conceicao was built.
There is still fishing and some boat building in Camara de Lobos. However, these are no longer particularly lucrative, so tourism is now a larger source of income. The fishermen in this area mainly catch the black scabbardfish (Espada), which is offered in many restaurants - also in Funchal.
There is a promenade path from the Lido in Funchal to Camara de Lobos since 2011. The path - always with a view of Cabo Girao - is partly concreted and partly laid out on wooden walkways. If you walk in the direction of Camara de Lobos, you can see the approaching waves of the Atlantic Ocean on the left and the partly high cliffs on the right. Not far behind Praia de Formosa there are some beach bars or restaurants where you can have a drink or eat quite well.
Cabo Girao near Camara de Lobos is one of the highest cliffs in the world. More than 500 m the land here falls almost vertically into the sea. Since our last visit, things had changed here, there was now a large parking lot. Then the cafes and souvenir stores were also new for us. And surprising for us was also the glass viewing platform, which exists since the end of 2012. Here you can see that wine and vegetables are grown on the small rocky outcrops. The farmers can reach their fields on the coastal fringe with a cable car. Before the cable car was built, these fields were only accessible by boat.
From Funchal it was not far to CANICO. The original village became in the course of time one of the most important tourist places on Madeira. Large hotel complexes, apartment buildings and villas were built. However, we turned off before we reached the town in order to get to Ponta do Garajau. There on a rock cliff is the 14 m high Christo Rei statue, which was erected in 1927. From here you have a beautiful view of Funchal. Since 2007, there is a cable car nearby that goes 200 m down to the pebble beach.
CURRAL DAS FREIRAS is a small village nestled between huge almost vertical mountain slopes in the heart of Madeira. There is only one road that leads serpentine to the 633 m high valley. Originally the valley was inhabited by nomads and shepherds. Towards the end of the 15th century, the land became the property of the nuns of the Santa Clara convent.
The name Curral das Freiras means "pen of the nuns". In the 16th and 17th centuries, the island was repeatedly attacked by pirates, and the nuns retreated here to the protection of the mountains, which are up to 700 meters high. Here people still live from what they grow themselves on their fertile fields. One of the specialties of the village is chestnuts. They are used to make liqueur, cakes, bread and soups, which are also sold to tourists. On November 1 of each year, the Chestnut Festival is held here.
Not many tourists come to SANTA CRUZ, although this place is certainly worth a visit. There is quite a pretty old town with the church of San Salvador built in 1533 as well as like a large modern market hall just behind the long gray pebble beach lined with date palms.
Just north of Santa Cruz is Madeira Island's airport, renamed "Cristiano Ronaldo" Airport in 2007. Opened in 1964 and reconstructed in 2000, this airport is one of the most dangerous in the world. The 2777 m long runway is built on the rocky coast above the water and looks like a bridge with large concrete supports. A large parking lot has been built below this runway.
Before the landing approach, the mountain massif must be overcome so that the narrow runway can be approached. Unfortunately, there have been numerous accidents, but this is still one of the busiest airports in Portugal.
From Santa Cruz we drove to MACHICO, one of the larger towns of Madeira. Machico profited from sugar cane cultivation in the 15th century and is now a modern town, which is divided into two halves by the Ribeira da Machico. On the eastern bank of the river is the historic fishing quarter with the main square surrounded by tall laurel trees.
The town church of Nossa Senhora da Conceicao in the center was built in the 15th century and partially rebuilt in the 18th century. Opposite stands the town hall built in the early 20th century There are several fish restaurants here.
In the surroundings of the small village FAIAL there is still a lot of agriculture, e.g. wine and fruit growing. The village is dominated by the 600 m high Eagle Rock. Only a few tourists come here, because there is hardly anything worth seeing.
Most people come to Santana to see the famous "Casas de colmo". In total there are still about a hundred of these thatched historic wooden houses. They are very scattered throughout the municipality.
On the way back to Funchal we passed through Ribera fria. Here you can take a short hike up to the Miradouro dos Balcoes, from where you have a beautiful view of the mountains.
The peninsula PONTA DE SAO LOURENCO is 9 km long and 2 km wide. In 1982 it was declared a nature reserve, mainly to ensure the preservation of the fauna with the great variety of birds and the great occurrence of the native flora. The eastern tip of Madeira is barren and windy. One can no longer imagine that everything here was lushly forested.
Then, in spring, a carpet of flowers enlivens the bare hilltops. But also in other seasons the turquoise sea and the rocks in different shades - ocher, rust, gray and green-black - bring color to the area.
The south coast can be easily approached by boats, which is almost impossible on the drastically shaped north coast with its strong winds. There is a paved access road to the parking lot above Baia de Abra. Here you can also take the public bus.
From there there is a popular rocky hiking trail. This hike is absolutely not a walk. There are some climbs, often wooden stairs. You have no shade and are exposed to gusts of wind. To avoid being blown down somewhere, I ducked down and waited out the sometimes strong gusts - really quite extreme.
At the narrowest point with a land bridge only a few meters wide, the rock drops almost 100 m vertically - fortunately the place is secured with a fence.
The hike takes - depending on your condition - 2 to 3 hours. It also depends on whether you only walk to the plateau of Casa Sardinha - administration of the national park - or if you want to make the ascent to Pico Furado. Below the Casa there are some tables for picnics. From there there is also an entrance for swimming, which can certainly be pleasant in the summer.
On the way there are always beautiful views of the sea and the rock formations - e.g. the so-called rock gate. On the south side you can see the cages of a fish farm in the sea. In front of Sao Lourenco there are two small islands, on one of them stands the oldest (from 1870) lighthouse of Madeira.
From the cape we drove to CANICAL, the easternmost municipality of Madeira. This place is still characterized by fishing and boat building. Fishing boats are still built here and there is a large repair yard.
Over the 1000 m high Encumeada Pass we drove northeast to Sao Vicente. Unfortunately the old coastal road to Seixal and Porto Moniz was closed and we had to drive through many tunnels. A few years ago it was a special experience to drive on the narrow and winding ER 101 directly at the coast - on one side the high cliffs and on the other side the sea. But apparently the road has become too dangerous in the meantime because of constant falling rocks.
We got to Porto Moniz , and unfortunately the weather got worse, more and more clouds came up. The sea raged with huge waves to the shore. Porto Moniz is a nice little town located on the northwestern tip of Madeira, a region with high mountains and views of the endless Atlantic Ocean.
From Porto Moniz you can go hiking, for example on the coastal trail "Levada da Ribeira da Janela", one of the best hiking trails in Madeira.
Porto Moniz is known for its volcanic pools. Daytrippers mostly come for these pools filled with sea water. These pools owe their formation to a lava tongue that flowed into the sea here thousands of years ago, creating caves due to the force of wind and waves. The black basalt lava pools form swimming pools and are the attraction of Porto Moniz, because you can swim (swim) in them very well - at least in good weather...
There are two different lava pools in Porto Moniz: the completely natural pools and the western pools, which have been transformed into natural outdoor pools - there are no sharp rocks here. The surrounding rocks of the outdoor pool were built as a terrace , and here you can sunbathe. The pools are open every day - even in winter. But when we were there, there was no one in the water....
The natural pools are not safe because of the black sharp basalt rocks. It is very interesting to watch the waves as they crash against the rocks. The water is sometimes whirled into the air in such a way that it looks like a geyser.
The PICO DE ARIEIRO is the most visited mountain of Madeira, because it is the only one that has been opened up with a road, but it is only the third highest. The road was probably built primarily for the observatory and not necessarily for the tourists. Already the approach through pristine landscape with rugged rock and sparse vegetation is an experience.
If the weather is good, you have a breathtaking view all around. Equally beautiful, however, is the sight of white cushions of clouds hanging between the high mountains. In winter there can be ice and snow on the peaks. Since it had snowed on Madeira about 2 weeks before our trip there, we could still see the sparse remnants on the shaded layers.
From Pico de Arieiro you can hike up to Pico Ruivo (1861 m) if the weather is good. At the beginning, the path is quite wide and in places secured by railings. Some then walk at least to the first viewpoint - the rocky peak Niho de Mata with beautiful views. The entire hike up to Pico Ruivo is clearly difficult, even if there are partially secured stairways since the 1960s. Some of the paths are steep up to 700 m, the rock steps are high, the paths are sometimes narrow and beaten, and it also goes through unlit tunnels. So you should have a good condition and be free from giddiness and sure-footed.

2023.05.28 08:33 SigizmundSG Nightmares
I am literally terrified to fall asleep because I can randomly have a nightmare. There's no visible causes or triggers for it. I can have a wonderful day and end up waking up at night with harrowing scream or painful moan. I can watch some disturbing and unnerving media all over the internet and end up sleeping well.
90% of my nightmares are accompanied by some sounds that I produce. Those sounds often are screams or moans, but sometimes I can shout a word or a phrase repeatedly like "Fuck!", "It is there!", "The silhouette!", "I am coming!", "Killer is there!", "Oh my god, help me, I am being murdered!"
The content of my nightmares varies greatly. It can be some real-life sudden disturbing situation like a sudden scream for help from my mother. Or me exploring some gargantuan abandoned facility at night and seeing everything in scarlet colors. Or me going to brush my teeth before bed and seeing my face being colossally and eerily distorted in bathroom mirror. Or me learning to swim with my grandfather at lake in the middle of a forest and the sky abruptly turning pitch black with an immense thunderstorm. I then started screaming "The primeval! The primeval darkness! End of the world! The end is near!" in real life. Or me riding the train and the passengers will become something abominable all of a sudden.
The last one is special because I think I experienced a sleep paralysis. I woke up in my bed in my room and there still were all of those passengers, one of them was actually sitting on my bed on my fucking legs. I wasn't being able to move but I could scream. So I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I was in a trip two weeks ago and I was afraid to sleep at the hotel. Not because of my nightmares but because of the screams they cause. I didn't want to disturb other tenants and cause panic.
I want this fucking thing to end.
I also had very psychologically disturbing dreams that question reality, blend my fears with my real life, play some fucked up mind games with my consciousness. Those put me in a melancholic or even utterly depressive mood for few days. There is no screams or moans afterwards, just a willing to cry silently and curl up into the embryo pose.
I only described kinda typical horror-like dreams where, you know, some dark places, monsters, creepy things and like that.

2023.05.28 08:30 Foxo032 Help Wanted 2 Predictions:
Since Help wanted 2 Is coming out by the End of the Year (Probably December) I have some predictions. I will Probably Update This once Ruin releases.
- The DLC for it will likely be an Easter DLC
- It will NOT have UCN since That is a lot of hard Work to put into A VR game and 50/20 will be near impossible. If we get a UCN VR it will have to be it's own standalone game.
- Similar to The repair minigames, There will be Salvage minigames separate from Pizza Sim
- If Help wanted 2 Takes place After SB, I hope we will Se some SB related Games like the Daycare area.
- Another Idea I had was a new minigame section similar to The Vent Repairs where you would need to repair Something while Doing another task like Keeping the noise down for Music man or Find 5 coins for Rockstar Freddy
- I really hope we Get Some Fredbear's Family Diner levels.
- Help Wanted 2 Will be significant to the lore unlike other Fans hope. It would be odd not to. However I hope they focus More on the Gameplay than the Story.

2023.05.28 08:28 Wolfrian [Online] [PF2e] [CST] [Tuesdays] Pathfinder: Kingmaker, and other grand adventures!
Hey everyone, I'm Charlie (20 y.o., he/him), and I'm looking for 4 players to run Pathfinder: Kingmaker 2e (or maybe something else, I'm easily persuaded!) for! This is going to be quite a long post, as I only want to filter through people I already know would be a great fit for the game, so please bear with me!
- I'm looking for players with at least some experience in other somewhat crunchy d20 systems. DnD 5e, 4e, 3.5e, Worlds/Stars without Number, PF1e, Starfinder, d20 modern, 13th Age, anything OSR, etc. Experience in PF2e is greatly appreciated, but not necessary! As long as you get basic arithmetic, and how dice and modifiers work, you'll be good to go!
- I'm looking for an enthusiastically inclusive table. I'm queer myself, and far too many people in the tabletop space are queer for there to be bigoted tables.
- I'm looking for people between the ages of 18-30, but if you're above that, feel free to apply anyways! I will generally turn down people below the age of 18, however.
- Ideally, we'll be playing every Tuesday from about 6-11pm CST. This time can be negotiated slightly, but the Tuesday evening frame cannot be shifted.
- We will typically take a break halfway through, for some mental recharge and some dinnesnack/drink harvesting.
- If we have a group that is overwhelmingly new to the Pathfinder 2e system, we will spend 2-3 sessions running the Beginner's Box with pregenerated characters.
- If we are not entirely new to the system, we might run the Beginner's Box anyways! It's a great way to get to know your players and GM and is generally good fun.
- We will be using discord for voice/video, and FoundryVTT for gameplay. I have not run a fully online campaign before, so this is a bit of new territory for me!
- As noted in the note above, we will likely be using video in our games. It is not necessary for every moment and every session, but please only apply if you are comfortable with displaying video.
- Please have a good mic and audio setup! There is far too much hassle that comes with constant crackling and cutting out.
Throughout my 13 years of TTRPG experience, I've played a variety of games - from B/X, to 3.5, to 5e, to Lancer, to PbTA, to BitD, and now PF2e, which I've been playing in for about 2 years, and running for about 1.
The greatest thing I've learned with my experience is that the GM is ultimately a player too, with just a little bit more power. I love roleplaying and improv, I love tactical and crunchy combat, I love designing levels and creatures and stories, but most of all, I love collaborating with the brilliant people I meet at my tables, and throwing all pre-determined narratives and ideas to the side for the sake of which is novel and made at the table. TTRPGs are all about having fun and making shit up with a group of friends, and no matter what game or system or table we play at, I hope that we can achieve that.
Outside of this, I'm a huge music and film nerd. I'm current a student studying classical voice, and most of my time is divvied up between singing, watching movies, thinking about TTRPGs, and maybe playing some FFXIV.
That's all from me! If this all interests you, please fill out this form to give me an idea of what you're like and expect me to shoot you a DM in the near future so we can hang out and see if we vibe! https://forms.gle/HKfWdiws1X6xkNj3A
No matter where you end up, I wish you a good luck and godspeed on your ventures!

2023.05.28 08:16 Icy_Fruit97 How can I enter the "flow"?
Trying to study and sometimes I can go several hours in a row provided I've taken my medication and nobody interrupts me. But actually being able to get in this state feels difficult and I wanted to see if anyone has any tips?
I've already found comfy clothes, working at my desk rather than my bed, fast music and having my blinds down helps a bit.

2023.05.28 08:11 CantThinkOfSumthin [16M] Not even gonna try with an interesting title tbh
I've written quite a few of these cuz I just like meeting new people, and I've yet to figure out what exactly catches people's attention. Is it the title? The post itself? Hobbies listed? Personally shown? Fate? Coincidence?
Anyway, like I said, I enjoy meeting new people, so it'd be pretty neat if you dm'd me
Some things about me:
I go by Jay
I'm big on music, lots of alternative/indie and rock but I listen to a large variety of genres and nearly always up for hearing a new song, so feel free to send me some recommendations!
I read a lot, books, comics, poems, all sorts of genres though I've found I'm not big on realistic historical fiction (Now medieval magic is a different story... literally)
I unironically love bad jokes. I find genuine amusement in overdone puns and my friends are increasingly enraged by this. Thankfully they're not musicians, otherwise I'd be worried they'd resort to violins. (Ba dum tss)
Anyway that's all I feel like sharing, hopefully one of you lovely people are entertained enough to introduce yourself

2023.05.28 07:56 Fantastic_Tip4665 HD 6XX wasn't very good for me.
So my first ever audiophile headphones were the 6xx, and it wasn't all that great? I have some Linsoul 7Hz Timeless and wow everything sounds AMAZING on them (I listen to mainly metal/death core like counterparts, boundaries, fit for an autopsy), but in the 6xx it just didn't sound nearly as good. It didn't feel like the guitars had the same rip behind then and the harsh vocals didn't have the crispness I had expected for such a revered headphone.
Does anyone else have a headphone that it seems like all others like that they just cant get behind, and how does music taste affect your choice of headphones?

2023.05.28 07:54 MrScrake666 Some of y'all seem to be forgetting something
This is a free show, available to nearly everyone with access to the internet, made by an independent studio whose only source of funding is people who decide to buy their merchandise (which you still get something extra out of)
It isn't gonna be absolutely perfect. I've seen so many people complaining about the VA changes, the writing isn't flawless, they haven't fleshed out every single character yet, they've introduced villains who haven't come back to them yet, blah blah blah
It's because they don't have the funds or manpower to put out episodes as quickly as triple A studios, clearly. The VA changes aren't their fault, as they don't have the money to outbid triple A studios for their VAs. They're working on fleshing out characters, they just don't wanna spend half a season or more on a single character at a time. The writing has its flaws, but it's a coherent enough story to follow and enjoy, and there are far worse stories out there. They haven't brought back some villains yet because, again, it takes a while to release episodes. They'd rather toss in some other interesting plotlines as well instead of spending a few episodes in a row on the same one. This is a smart move too, in case some people aren't interested in seeing certain villains, which there are always some
Being that they're indie doesn't make them immune to criticism, but a lot of y'all have been straight up hating on them lately for not being absolutely perfect, and using the resources that they have. If you have genuine constructive criticism, then that's fine. But throwing a tantrum every time an episode doesn't go exactly how you personally want it to go, is just dumb. I see plenty of YouTubers especially lately doing this exact thing, y'all need to chill out a bit

2023.05.28 07:25 boring1996 Have you ever stayed at a major chain in a city/town that shares it's name?
Hope this is ok. Maybe some light hearted fun.. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Fairfield, CA (40 miles NE of San Francisco on I-80). If need be you can include a regional chain that has more than 5-10 hotels.
For the record it was a great hotel, I would have stayed another night but I already had a reservation at an Airport hotel near SFO.
