Hello, I just bought a 2021 Corolla Hybrid, it's been serviced for the first time in 2022 02. Now it's 2023 03, the mileage is fine, but it's one month late for maintenance. I (F29) work as a teacher in a high school here in South America. Lately, the laws have changed regarding the expulsion of students or any other measurement that used to be applied to problem students. What I mean with this is that back in the days, when a teacher was hardly disrespected by students, they had to sign an “agreement letter”, if the students get in any trouble again in terms of violence, verbally or physically they had to leave school. Now it has all changed, the students are being mad disrespectful and nothing happens to them. In fact, if a student disrespects me, I am the one who needs to apologize to them because I was the one who triggered the student’s reaction. And not only that, I have to attend interviews and sessions at the orientation department not because of how affected I might be after a situation with a student, but to help that student to move on and continue attending lessons with no consequences at all. Lots of students have been to mental health issues, therefore they don’t feel well enough to do everything normally. However, I work at a private school, their parents’ got money to pay for psychologist and therapies, but instead, the headmaster’s order is that we teachers have to face their situations. Last year I had a sick leave because I couldn’t fulfill my duties as I used to due to the emotional weight that it all caused me. I love teaching, I am also aware that being a teacher involves to give more than just content. But I’ve had enough, it’s unacceptable for me to apologize to a disrespectful one whose parents don’t give a shit about their kids misbehavior. Whenever I call them they say “not even us know what to do with them, I hope you could help us here in school”… so basically I have to do what they can’t as parents. A student who is 16 was caught smoking at the gym’s dressing room while young kids were in PE lessons… that’s not just unacceptable but also illegal. However,he did not receive any punishment at all, in fact, he stated that the student felt anxious and that’s why he went there to smoke. Again, no measurements were taken. Criticism for the parents is the second issue that has me fed up. Whenever a teacher gets sick and has a sick leave, they send an email or go to school to complain that we are the unprofessional ones. The cherry of the pie, the headmaster… our salary is miserable even though we work at a private school. Nevertheless, we have to came up with projects to improve the service, work on new ideas that he comes up and the worst of all, if he is in a bad mood we better avoid him. I’d never had panic attacks before, but now I’ve had them and we stared classes just three weeks ago. Nothing protects the teacher, nobody gives us emotional support, and the payment isn’t even enough.

In the last six months, I have been putting almost every extra dollar coming in the bank toward my student loans. I don't mean so focused that I'm neglecting my 401K contribution or only eating ramen, but all of the extras that I enjoy most in my down time have been off the table (going to concerts, restaurants, traveling, spa, etc.).
So this means I essentially work all day, come home and chat with my kids/ help with homework, cook and eat dinner, chores, then rinse and repeat every day. My kids have activities and of course I enjoy watching them, they are both such happy and fun kids. Plus they really don't see a difference in our family's spending habits other than my refusal to order take out. I still take my youngest to the park. I take my tween shopping once a month or so. I guess I am really just missing out on what would be considered date nights/adult trips/and alone time. I am not trying to complain, rather I am trying to gauge if I'm being super responsible or torturing myself? Do I pat myself on the back harder or give myself a break?
The upside is that in these 6 months I paid off 20% of the remaining amount I owe, which is huge for me considering I ignored making a payment for the first two years of covid. But if I keep on this track, the math puts me in this cycle for another 2 years and I'm not sure that's sustainable or if I should even try to make it so. Yet, if I go back to my minimum payment, it will take me 10 years to pay this thing off and I'm too old for that to be acceptable to me.
I'm afraid if I let up and start going back to splurges, I will slowly creep into the "one more time won't hurt" mentality and then within a few months I am back to the minimum payment (or no payment since right now it isn't required). I lived that life through my 30s and while I paid off about 1/3 of the total amount I took out for grad school during those 10 years (yes, 10 yrs.), there is still a good chunk left to pay (although 20% less after these 6 months!). I did not have good financial role models growing up, so this is a sensitive topic for me. I'm afraid if I don't stay super focused, I'll revert back to bad habits. But I also don't know if being so focused on paying off the student loan is being stupid because I am not saving and investing more. Any tips, tricks, strategies, or input that might help me find a healthy middle spot would be much appreciated. I'm ready to be done with this thing.

I don’t have that. At all.

Hi all
I’m trying to book a day pass and an express pass to Universal Studios in Japan for around 3 weeks time. I’ve tried to book on a laptop, via safari on my iPhone and also via the app but I keep coming across errors. On the laptop the errors are simply “payment failed” and on my phone it is either “system exception” or “invalid verification code” (despite the verification code being correct).
Has anyone else come across this issue and are there any solutions?
