Hi! My friend and I are looking to rebuild our static for 6.4 from when it imploded recently. We have cleared p8s.

Our raid times are: T/W/Th 9 pm CST to 11 pm CST (6 hours a week)

About us:
We have been raiding together since the beginning of Endwalker. I started raiding in Shadowbringers (E5s and have cleared every tier since). My friend started in Heavensward, took a break after Storm Blood and came back to raid in Endwalker. We enjoy raiding and progressing but occasionally also enjoy the casual stuff (maps, roulettes, unreal, etc. etc.). Ultimates are not on our radar right now. Our goal right now is to clear in 8 weeks (plus or minus a week or two). After everyone is BiS, then we can do alt raids or go back to older savages and get mounts or something (completely optional at that point). You are free to progress at your own time after raid. We just ask that if we're close to clearing the fight, don't loot lock us by clearing on your own before Thursday.
We also realize that people have real life stuff going on so if you have to miss a day or be late, please let us know more than 20 min before raid time.

Hi Reddit! I very much appreciate anyone around here taking the time to try to help me out. I have an Islandaire PTAC heat/cool unit model EZ12AG2GSP1S44AL, part# 9350466 that was installed ~5 years ago and has recently started beeping loudly due to the CO sensor reaching end-of-life (according to the beep/blink code). I've performed a "Reset" (button presses) several times which only works temporarily, 12 hours or so. Internet sleuthing has led me to think these CO sensors are a "consumable" item not meant to last forever and around 5 years is normal for needing replacement. quick note about me I'm an IT professional and working on cars is a hobby so I'm quite comfortable working on electronic and mechanical. I've opened up the PTAC, ID'ed the sensowiring harness I understand it's basically a power cutoff, without the sensor attached the unit's electronics work but not the motor. Here's why I'm posting:
I've contacted multiple vendors including the one that sold/installed the unit and they all say basically "part no longer available but we will come out and bypass the sensor for" and quoting me prices in the $400-600 range. I'm not worried about bypassing this device's CO Sensor as I have others in my home which are probably better tbh.
I'm certain that I could perform the work myself if I knew exactly how, and I figured a Reddit post (I can't find anything on this topic on google or youtube, I've been trying) is worth potentially saving the $ if someone happens to know the answer, a video I can watch, anything to help me figure out how to "bypass" this sensor which seems to be my only option unless someone around here has a different idea . again I have other sensors so I'm not worried in that regard.

Hey. I recently turned 19, got broken up with, lost my job and have been struggling with mental health since about 11 but I have always been struggling really due to a bad child hood.
I’ve lost my spark. I’ve lost motivation and I can’t seem to find it again. I’m a very heavy pot smoker ( about 2g’s every day for years ) and I live in a delusional world. I wake up thinking about my past and I spend the day in my bed or if not that I’m out with my only friend smoking weed. I’m very emotional and I hate to admit that, In real life I would seem anything but, I put off a no emotion persona but it’s not true. I go home to nothing and I goto bed depressed almost every night grieving the past and am always thinking about past relationships. I live in a loop, a constant cycle of just doing the same thing
I forgot to say I’m also on anti depressants but only have been for 6 months.
Something which does motivate me is history. I don’t have much but I watch so much about history and documentary’s and it’s become something I really have a passion for. I watch things about people living with tribes or living with people who are disconnected from society. I feel like I need to be away from my phone and from everything around me so I can really realise how small I am in this big beautiful world. The worst thing is I’m self aware of all the self destructive stuff I am doing to myself and I think it hurts me even more.
I don’t really know what I’m asking. I’m not sure if I do really want help or if I just need to express what I’m feeling, but i would appreciate anything.
PS : is their some type of thing where I could spend months helping people in places that are disconnected ? Or am I just being too delusional, I don’t know.

Jon Snow is Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight, he is the myth of the modern, fallible and contradictory hero.

It's romantic put like that, but in GoT, the sunset represents the end of the day, the beginning of darkness, the dusk of Dany's innocence, and the beginning of trauma. Bran and Arya also have a mysterious Cinema aura with them. We also find the tale with Daenerys and Cersei, and the prophecies of the witches. Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White, there are many references to the tale in GoT/HotD. Alicent is a lot of Cinderella for example.

A great victory for good, for the living, but a total defeat for Daenerys, the tragic heroine.
Who's raining ashes on King's Landing ? Winter is the metaphor for cataclysm, and the cataclysm is Daenerys, not the Long Night.

Rhaegal's death si the death of Rhaegar Targaryen. The myth of Icarus.

The Dothraki are powerful in the open fields. The tension is high, the whole army of the good guys is waiting for the army of the dead. Melisandre arrives, ignites the swords, triggering the charge of the horde, galvanized. Davos' gaze is the only terrified one in this scene.
No one would have given the order, and the army of the dead would have crushed the motionless cavalry. Melisandre did what was necessary, sacrifice the Dothraki, to allow the final victory.

Willys couldn't hold the door
No one could. Hold the door by being eaten alive by frozen zombies. Everyone would have left the door. Bran's rescue must be through this door. What is old Three Eyed Raven doing with Bran in Winterfell ? The Night King is coming, there is no time to lose, Bran must be saved. Time may be just an illusion, there may be enough time in fact. It's the old man who makes Hodor.
The last act of the multiple life and multiple temporalities of the old Three eyed Raven is to save Bran, and he does it, by making a Hodor, able to hold the door.

A lifelong slave, Missendei dies like Ned Stark, like a great lord of Westeros. She is a miniature metaphor of Daenerys, starting from nothing with nothing, she falls to the top. Bran saved Arya in the forest... the second time. He says it: "I thought you might go to King's Landing." Arya reunites in Winterfell with a Bran who hasn't seen her cross paths with Nymeria. So it's not "this" Bran who saved her, but Bran from the Long Night. The reality that we discover is a second temporal reality, like the reality with Hodor. And so... Arya first died in the forest. The first version of Little Red Riding Hood has no hunter. Nobody was there the first time to stop the wolf.
When Bran gives the dagger to Arya, it's the second try, the second and last chance.

Dany's suicide
At the start of the bells, there is a conversation between Tyrion and Daenerys. It's the mourning of Missendei and Rhaegal, and yet Daenerys doesn't talk about it. She is fixated on Jon Snow's secret, facing a Tyrion unable to understand the problem. It is the misunderstanding between the tragic archetype and the comic archetype. The symbolism in this scene is the suicide of Dany, the innocent young princess with a good heart, and only the legend will remain.

Arya killed The Waif ? Are you sure ? Probably. Did The Waif kill and replace Arya ? Probably too...
The scene of their duel ends in mystery and tension, which will never be completed. At the end of GoT, Arya is still in an uncertain state, alive or dead, we cannot know. It is the same uncertainty as the death of Syrio Forel. It's a Schrodinger's cat. Arya is quantum physics, a free electron. 50% alive 50% dead. The symbol is visible in Arya's final shot, the tension is still there, the mystery too.
Arya's ending is the direct reference to Carpenter's The Thing ending, it's the mystery that's scary.

How to film time and time travel, how to represent different realities, how to stage the invisible ?

GoT shows the lies and hides the truth. "Today is not the day I die." "I am not here to be queen of the ashes." "The past is already written. The ink is dry." Beautiful punchlines, beautiful lies.
GoT's time travel is not the "What happened is always happened" like in Lost, 12 monkeys by Terry Gilliam, or the variant in Final Destination by James Wong. This is the theory of time from The Butterfly Effect, from the same film by Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber. Theory of time respected in Source Code by Duncan Jones and also in the Avengers Endgame by Disney. It's the same theory used in Back to the Future by Robert Zemeckis, without the paradoxes.
Infinite time loops are also possible with the butterfly effect theory, which is what happens to Ashton Kutcher's father in the movie. Bran isn't trapped in the loop, it's Hodor. hi! life has me pretty busy, but when I do get free time i end up spending it alone, which isn't ideal, so, I'm looking to find some genuine people to meet up with and get to know and hopefully develop something meaningful.
A bit about me:
- studying engineering at university
-huge fan of Formula One and anything car related (bonus points if you're into it too - we could maybe watch races together)
-i like to read! mainly crime thrillers and investigative stuff, but im open to recommendations of other genres, wanting to broaden my reads
-absolutely love the show ncis (yeah the navy one) im on season 12, if anyone else is into it i'll love you forever <33
-love the outdoors and nature, just going out for a walk or sitting in a park talking with someone is such a great way to get to know someone i think
I'm not looking for anything in particular, so anything could come from this, but I'd only ask that you're genuine and respectful. I'd prefer someone who is relatively close by, or at least close enough for me to meet you or for you to meet me. I'd rather get to know you first for a few days just so we both know what we're getting ourselves into, then we can get to arranging to meet over a coffee or something. I look forward to hearing from some of you! :)

Just a general trigger warning. Too much to list lol.
Been on T on and off for about 5 years. Had to stop T twice already, once due to a perceived hostile environment, once due to internalized transphobia and nightly panic attacks that I was going to regret my transition. I am afraid of a third period without T because both were awful experiences, physically and emotionally.
I've always had anxiety about giving myself shots, but it kept getting worse and got so bad that I was throwing up, passing out (waking up on the floor with a needle in my leg!!), and this of course made me put my shots off more and more. This caused me to start bleeding again, yay! Apparently I haven't been taking my shots right, because I was literally never taught how to do my shots*, so hopefully if I go back to shots I will be able to take them with less stress.
During my appointment with planned Parenthood, I mentioned that and they put me on the gel. I think that I was given too high a dosage, because the amount of gel I had to physically put on my skin was unmanageable and I felt sick that first day that I took it. Called them, had to play the phone hold game for about an hour before they got back to me, and yeah they aren't sure but sure I can take half a dose if I think that's right for me. Super infoative, very helpful. So, not knowing if I am taking the right dosage, also having terrible ADHD that makes me "forget" to put the gel on because it is a pain in the ass to sit around with my pants down waiting for it to dry. Started with me skipping a day here or there, it's gotten to me forgetting my meds more days than I remember them. Also, my shower drains keep getting clogged because of whatever is in the T gel. And I am living in communal housing now, with about 10 people, most female, sharing one shower, so I am worried about contamination from the gel.
To add to this mess. I have moved around twice a year since 2015. My life since college has been one long story of seasonal work, poverty, job and housing instability, etc. I have lived in 5 states at nearly 20 addresses since 2015. Living with my family is not an option. As you can imagine, this makes medical treatment difficult to access. Every time I move to a new planned Parenthood region, I have to pretty much act like a new patient and get all my labs re-done, no matter how recently my labs were done. I just recently left a state that I managed to live in for one whole year (a record), to a state where there is very little access to trans care. For those of you outside the US, doctors can only prescribe T within their state because it is a controlled substance.
There are two places to get on T here, both large healthcare centers in the state's capitol, so like 3-4 hours away. Planned Parenthood here is not accepting patients because there are already too many people in their program. I messaged one of the hospitals providing care and made the mistake of also mentioning that I would need help with finances (I am working on a farm in exchange for food and housing, if I had the energy to get a second job in town I would probably be making about 400 a month), so surprise surprise, they never responded. I don't want to bother with the other provider, honestly.
I have about two months supply of the gel stockpiled, but again, taking this is not really an option. My friend who is currently over prescribed gave me a 1mL vial, but this can't be a regular thing. Meanwhile, my bleeding is getting stronger, my body shape is slowly reverting. My face passed as male for about a month or two but has now gone back to very much female-reading, but I don't want to shave my face and lose my one last bit of gender euphoria. My emotions are getting harder and harder to handle. To a suicidal degree.
God, I miss my college doctor. My school had a trans healthcare specialist, and for $7 I could get an appointment with someone who has been pretty much the only healthcare provider I have felt a genuine human connection with. Someone who actually cared and didn't just see me as another appointment to cross off the list. (Also was somehow able to prescribe me 10mL vials, which... If you've ever had to deal with .35mL injections from 1mL vials, you know what a pain in the ass scraping your last 3/4 of a dose out of the vial is.) Now, I feel like my only option is to go the DIY route, risky as it is. I am already feeling like I am medically detransitoning, and I seriously cannot stop T a third time.
*major transphobia warning. I had to get on T somewhere other than my school because my school could only continue care, so I scheduled an appointment in my hometown area during break. My mom decided to come with me to support me, but upon reading the informed consent form she, a nurse, kept acting disgusted by like. The list of changes T will bring to your body. Anyways she very conveniently had a nail appointment that she was afraid of missing due to my doctor's appointment. I, the eternal pushover she had given PTSD to, agreed to let her show me how to do the shots at home because she's a nurse, she knows how. Once we are at home, she decides that I need to talk with my dad one last time to see if he can convince me not to take T. So I wait a few days until I can see him in person. He asks me again and again why I am taking T, and it just doesn't get to his head. He tells me I should wait until I had experienced "life and love" as a woman, and that I would never find a partner who would be interested in me. Unconvinced, I return to my mom's and ask her to show me how to do the shot like she told me she would. She blows up on me. In all the years of verbal abuse I had received, I had never seen her go from 0 to 100 so fast. Instantly screaming at me abouthow stupid and immature I am, getting my stepdad and grandma to join in, calling my dad for reinforcements. We have daily massive arguments the next three days. Constant deadnaming and misgendering. She has the gall to tell me "no matter what, you'll always be my daughter" like that's supposed to be fucking comforting. I finally gather the guts to YouTube how to take the shot and do it myself. This is the only time I have ever taken a shot without anxiety, just because of the massive emotional buildup to it. I forget my T at home and ask her to mail me the box I had been hiding my supplies in. She, of course, checks in the box without my permission and tells me how immature I am for starting T without knowing how to properly do a shot. I am fortunately able to immediately schedule my first appointment with my school doctor.

Most of us think Marinette is badly written, am i right? Well time to say my opinion.
To me, Marinette is C tier which means she's an okay character.
Back in Season 1, she was my 2nd favorite right behind Plagg. Her determination, her smart plans, her stupid but somewhat funny moments were all i could've wanted.
In Season 2 she was almost the same, she just knew more things about the miraculouses and stuff. She had a perfect theory with Gabriel being Hawkmoth, but Gabriel threw her theory out the window when Gabriel akumatized himself. But honestly, why didn't Mari think that Gabriel could akumatize himself? Anyways, in Sapotis it was a good choice to hand the fox to Alya, she's Mari's BFF after all. Giving the turtle to Nino was also a nice idea, now we have all the 4 main protagonists. Then Chloé came in and did some stuff, but that doesn't matter.
Now let's go to when Luka entered the show. Mari immediately was in love with him and that's where Mari's problem starts. She had 2 crushes and couldn't decide. LUKA F_CKING KNOWS THAT MARI HAS A CRUSH ON HIM AND MARI KNOWS THAT LUKA KNOWS. IT TOOK 5 SEASONS AND 9 EPISODES FOR ADRIEN TO KNOW. So why didn't you just go with Luka? Tell me, Mari.
In Frozen there's a moment where both Luka and Adrien try to help Mari because she fell. And SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHOSE HAND TO TAKE. JUST TAKE THEM BOTH YOU IDIOT. During the rest of Season 2 she did well.
Season 3:The beginning of her downfall.
Cyrus The Great's waifu(Lila) came back and LITERALLY THE SECOND MARI SAW HER she got angry at her. FOR NO F_CKING REASON. Listen i get that she tried to get Adrien but AT LEAST GIVE A CHANCE. It's like Alya said:"You're just jealous cause she flirted with Adrien". Yeah i know Lila hasn't changed but please Mari give her a second chance.
Thomas Astruc episode. A complete f_cking disaster. I literally am not able to watch that one episode without cringing. Mari wanted to embarrass Kagami. She even teamed up with Chloe to do it. YOU HAVE F_CKING LUKA. JUST ACCEPT THAT ADRIEN FOUND SOMEONE ELSE AND THEN JUST GO TO LUKA. I have absolutely no idea of what the writers were thinking when making that episode.
Silencer. Finally some good Lukanette content. Btw i ship Marichat. I LIKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHIP BUT I STILL KNOW THAT LUKANETTE IS SUPERIOR. That's saying quite a lot. This episode shows us how beautiful this ship is and how the dynamic between Mari and Luka works. It is the ONLY episode in THE ENTIRE SERIES that portraits Lukanette perfectly. BUT THE WRITERS STILL WANT MARI'S TRUE CRUSH TO BE ADRIEN. WHAT IS THE POINT OF LUKA THEN?!?
Chat Blanc. If you could ask Mari one single question, what would it be? I would ask "why the f_ck did you lose your time master baiting on Adrien's stuff?" Also why was Mari just standing there while Adrien was getting akumatized? Gabriel was standing 4 FEET AWAY FROM HER. SHE COULD'VE TOOK HIM OFF GUARD AND KNOCK HIM OUT EASILY. Well i guess we would've never gotten the Chat Blanc episode if it wasn't for that so i'll let that slide.
Season 3 Finale:Master Fu's worst mistake
Fu gave Marinette the miracle box with all the miraculouses we've seen so far. Who would've known that this would've been the worst thing about Mari's character.

Season 4 Finale:Mari did a dumb move but her dumbness saved her character
Listen i know it's hard to guess who's Adrien and who's Felix, i understand that. But remember to always get your miraculous back once you give it to someone. Also why didn't she just detransform when Felix took her yo-yo? She could've just went hiding into the bathroom, detransform and then transform once again. Problem solved. At least her dumbness saved her character in Season 5.

Season 5:Mari's redemption
The original duo was back once again thanks to Felix the GOAT and Mari's dumbness. I liked the moment where Mari gives Adrien the bunny miraculous. She now has full trust of her partner and she's ready to fight alongside him like they've already done in the past. As a Marichat shipper, when the love square flipped i literally cried. Finally, the love square was finally flipped(but i still won't forgive the writers for what they did to Lukanette). In episode 3, Destruction, i could've literally killed Marinette. THEY HAD THE MIRACULOUSES RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. But it was only episode 3 so i'll let it slide. From that point, Mari slowly started to regain my respect. Elation was of course my favorite episode when it came out cause you know, Marichat. And then...

I can't believe it. Adrienette is now real. It's what most of the fans dreamed for. And now it's real. IT TOOK 5 F_CKING SEASONS AND 10 F_CKING EPISODES. Anyways, as episodes passed my level of respect towards Mari slowly rised to C tier because of one specific reason.
She isn't just a clumsy girl anymore.
She is more understanding, forgiving, relaxed but most importantly...
Serious.
She is more serious than ever. She wants to get the job finally done. She wants to stay with Adrien, she wants to defeat Monarch, she wants to save Paris now more than ever. Her determination from Season 1 is back. That's what i like about Season 5 Marinette.

THIS THING TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF TO WRITE.

I moved in with my ‘best friend’ of 7 years this past January and it’s honestly felt like a huge mistake since damn near the first week. First off, we did previously live together during our senior year of college. She definitely wasn’t the best roommate but now that we’re actual adults with adult jobs and adult responsibilities, I expected some growth on her part. I was so wrong. For context, we’re both 25F, she (we’ll call her Ashley) is a teacher and I am an accountant working from home. She also has a dog, which I was okay with, until I realized he doesn’t know how to act.
It all started when, probably the third day in our new apartment together, she informed me that one of our mutual friends came to her basically telling her to check on me as he was worried because I was talking about unaliving myself. I’ve been in a really bad place for the past few years and our mutual friend was someone I was comfortable confiding in. As she mentions it, she laughs saying “I know you, you were just joking. He’s so dumb”. I had to say multiple times that he was right and I wasn’t joking until she ultimately changed the conversation. I understand being uncomfortable talking about those type of things, but what really put a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that maybe 20 minutes later she began talking about how she “thinks she’s depressed” and thinks she “needs therapy”. Also not to mention that she would always laugh when I mentioned I had a therapy appointment.
It’s truly been down hill from this point, for many reasons. Firstly, she can’t do a household chore for the life of her. She doesn’t wash her dishes and, when she tries, they’re never actually clean. Instead of taking the trash out, she lets trash pile up until I take it out. On trash day, she doesn’t take the cans to the curb nor does she bring them up once emptied. I literally do all of the cleaning, which also includes cleaning up after the dog.
Her dog does not know how to act. He’s peed and pooped in the house numerous times over the past 3 months. He has already ruined my couch by tearing at it. As I’m the one working from home, I have to deal with it all. I’ve brought up these issues to Ashley, and she simply diverts. For example, I texted her after the first couch incident and her response was “he did? He’s been good though!”; I texted her once after he peed in the house, her response was “I took him out before I left an hour ago”. I’ve tried everything to get her to address these issues. I’ve asked her numerous times to keep the dog in her room when she’s not here. I've tried addressing the fact that her dog needs more attention and more exercise to curb any destructive behavior as well as the fact that grown dogs don’t just have accidents in the house so it could be something medical. Nothing works.
Recently I caught the dog tearing at the couch again (the couch is mine, not hers). I texted her once again saying the following: “We’re gonna figure something else out couch wise bc I just caught him tearing at the chair again… it’s already ruined, I can’t afford this. I’m not trying to be mean or cause problems, I just honestly feel mad disrespected at this point. I’ve voiced my concerns numerous times already and I shouldn’t have to keep doing so. He does not know how to act and it’s my mental health, my belongings and my time that’s being impacted. Please keep him in your room or his cage when you’re not home.” Her response……… “I don’t even see anything wrong with the couch”. After this, I just started putting the dog in her room.
She also have this “ex” (23M I think) that spends all his time here. He sleeps over, leaves when she goes to work, and comes back to sleep here once again. He also showers and does his laundry here. The past couple days although he has been here ALL DAY while I’m working. I asked her if he’s living here now and Ashley’s excuse was “he’s watching the dog”, although she previously claimed the dog just sleeps all day anyways. She followed that text with “Chill lol”. She’s just gaslighting me at this point and I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m already in a bad place mentally and am in the middle of tax season so trying to deal with this is so much more difficult but it needs to be done. Advice?

Tackling the RAM and VRAM problems
- 16 GB RAM is at its limits in this game. Acknowledge this.
- Forget multitasking while playing games like this and Hogwarts Legacy. Don't open a web browser while playing. Use Steam's built in overlay browser to do basic searching if you really have to. Don't open Chromium based browsers while playing the game
- Make sure you have the least possible idle VRAM usage. Go to your task manager and in Details tab, right click the column and click "select columns". Select "Dedicated GPU memory" from the list. then sort the apps by their dedicated gpu memory use. This is practically a list of programs that use VRAM. Troubleshoot here; turn off unnecessary applications that use VRAM, such as, Epic games launcher, Ubisoft launcher, Battle.net launcher and so on.
- Disable "hardware accerelation" for Steam. You can find this setting in Steam's settings. This will help you save around 250-400 MB VRAM depending on the occasion. Do not sleep on this, even that amount can be crucial. Make sure to disable "animated avatars and frames" in Friends settings as well. Do be warned: Steam will work off on CPU and it might appear laggy when you browse store/profiles. It's a compromise. However it won't affect CPU performance as long as Steam is minimized to taskbar.
- Kill dwm.exe (it will restart itself, no worries). This should allow some excess VRAM used by Windows DWM to be reduced.
- Uninstall Widgets if you're on W11. This will get you another 80-120 MB. Open Powershell with admin prompts, use this code; "winget uninstall windows web experience pack" This will uninstall Widgets function of Windows 11. If you're not using it, it is safe to uninstall it. If you don't, it will always run in the background using some amount of VRAM because it is accerelated by GPU.
- If you did everything possible, your IDLE vram usage at 1080p should be around 200-300 mb, at 1440p around 300-400 mb, and at 4K, should be around 500-600 mb.
Now we've covered VRAM, it is time for RAM.
- As I said, forget about chromium browsers. Keep your background programs to a minimum.
- https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/rammap Download RAMMAP. It is a Microsoft certified RAM related software.
- Using RAMMAP64, "Empty" working set, system working set and standby memory. Do not worry, this is just cleaning "working sets", not applications themselves. This will simply reduce the commit of other apps. Right after empying working sets, you should see an extreme amount of free RAM if you have nothing except Steam and Discord. You can legit get an idle RAM usage of 2-2.5 GB with this trick.
- With only 2-3 GB idle RAM usage in your tow, launch the game quickly. Game will happily "allocate" those free RAM, you can observe see per-game RAM usage with Afterburner. Game will now allocate upwards of 12 GB RAM. This amount is where game feels more smooth and stable.

Frame Capping
-- If you have a VRR screen; use a frame cap of 40 or 50 if you have a CPU worse than 5600x. This will minimize streaming stutters. Experiment with both. CPUs below 5600x will often be limited near 50-60 FPS and VRAM-RAM streaming will also have a lot of microstutters. A huge portion of these stutters are alleviated with a framecap.

If you have a 60 hz screen, and if you can't hold a locked 60, you can use 1/2 Vsync + 30 FPS limiter through NVCP. This is practically one of the best 30 FPS lock methods I've discovered over the years. Give it a try. If you can't hit 60 FPS but don't like to play at 30 FPS, I really have no idea what to suggest. You have to endure tearing, I'd have to guess.
If you have a 120/144 hz screen you have A LOT OF options.
120 hz - 1/3Vsync - 40 FPS cap
144 hz - 1/3 Vsync - 48 FPS cap
100 hz - 1/2 Vsync - 50 FPS cap
144 hz - 1/4 Vsync - 36 FPS cap
I personally use 1/3 Vsync + 40 FPS cap + 120 hz. Game looks amazingly smooth this way. Similar to 40 FPS modes found on consoles. Stutters are minimized and almost extinct.

Ensuring all these, your experience should improve majorly at 1440p and greatly at 4K. It helps to a point I can play at 4K/DLSS despite the enormous VRAM requirements.

I'm nearly getting a locked 45 FPS with stable frametimes with all the above. It hitches when loading a new area but generally it is okay.
If you did everything right, game's per-game VRAM usage should be around 7.2-7.5 GB andper-game RAM usage should be around 10-12 GB. You can enable per-game RAM and VRAM monitoring through Afterburner as I've noted earlier. You must make sure to give the game all free resources you can possibly free up.
[Final extreme trick: You can kill explorer.exe and other Windows stuff that uses VRAM. This is just extreme, you can do it if you're really up for it. You can relaunch explorer.exe through Task Manager later on. Make sure to have Steam in your taskbar before killing explorer.exe so that you can launch the game.

I moved in with my ‘best friend’ of 7 years this past January and it’s honestly felt like a huge mistake since damn near the first week. First off, we did previously live together during our senior year of college. She definitely wasn’t the best roommate but now that we’re actual adults with adult jobs and adult responsibilities, I expected some growth on her part. I was so wrong. For context, we’re both 25F, she (we’ll call her Ashley) is a teacher and I am an accountant working from home. She also has a dog, which I was okay with, until I realized he doesn’t know how to act.
It all started when, probably the third day in our new apartment together, she informed me that one of our mutual friends came to her basically telling her to check on me as he was worried because I was talking about unaliving myself. I’ve been in a really bad place for the past few years and our mutual friend was someone I was comfortable confiding in. As she mentions it, she laughs saying “I know you, you were just joking. He’s so dumb”. I had to say multiple times that he was right and I wasn’t joking until she ultimately changed the conversation. I understand being uncomfortable talking about those type of things, but what really put a bad taste in my mouth was the fact that maybe 20 minutes later she began talking about how she “thinks she’s depressed” and thinks she “needs therapy”. Also not to mention that she would always laugh when I mentioned I had a therapy appointment.
It’s truly been down hill from this point, for many reasons. Firstly, she can’t do a household chore for the life of her. She doesn’t wash her dishes and, when she tries, they’re never actually clean. Instead of taking the trash out, she lets trash pile up until I take it out. On trash day, she doesn’t take the cans to the curb nor does she bring them up once emptied. I literally do all of the cleaning, which also includes cleaning up after the dog.
Her dog does not know how to act. He’s peed and pooped in the house numerous times over the past 3 months. He has already ruined my couch by tearing at it. As I’m the one working from home, I have to deal with it all. I’ve brought up these issues to Ashley, and she simply diverts. For example, I texted her after the first couch incident and her response was “he did? He’s been good though!”; I texted her once after he peed in the house, her response was “I took him out before I left an hour ago”. I’ve tried everything to get her to address these issues. I’ve asked her numerous times to keep the dog in her room when she’s not here. I've tried addressing the fact that her dog needs more attention and more exercise to curb any destructive behavior as well as the fact that grown dogs don’t just have accidents in the house so it could be something medical. Nothing works.
Recently I caught the dog tearing at the couch again (the couch is mine, not hers). I texted her once again saying the following: “We’re gonna figure something else out couch wise bc I just caught him tearing at the chair again… it’s already ruined, I can’t afford this. I’m not trying to be mean or cause problems, I just honestly feel mad disrespected at this point. I’ve voiced my concerns numerous times already and I shouldn’t have to keep doing so. He does not know how to act and it’s my mental health, my belongings and my time that’s being impacted. Please keep him in your room or his cage when you’re not home.” Her response……… “I don’t even see anything wrong with the couch”. After this, I just started putting the dog in her room.
She also have this “ex” (23M I think) that spends all his time here. He sleeps over, leaves when she goes to work, and comes back to sleep here once again. He also showers and does his laundry here. The past couple days although he has been here ALL DAY while I’m working. I asked her if he’s living here now and Ashley’s excuse was “he’s watching the dog”, although she previously claimed the dog just sleeps all day anyways. She followed that text with “Chill lol”. She’s just gaslighting me at this point and I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m already in a bad place mentally and am in the middle of tax season so trying to deal with this is so much more difficult but it needs to be done. Advice?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my old 11-year-old i5 2500k and I plan to spend ~$450-$600 / ~400€-550€(converted from ~2000-2500PLN in Poland) or more if there's a good reason to. I will be using the PC for gaming (currently at 1080p, but in the future, I plan to upgrade to 1440p), programming, and internet browsing.

My current PC parts are:

• Corsair RM 650x
• Samsung 860 EVO 500GB + Samsung 870 EVO 500GB + 2 or 3 HDDs
• Phanteks Enthoo Pro case
• Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB (planning to upgrade in the future)
• Asus Xonar DX sound card
• 2x Crucial 16GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 RAM (bought on sale, might upgrade in the future)
• SilentiumPC Fortis 5 140mm cooler (new, bought on sale)

My expectations and requirements for the new motherboard and CPU are:

• Quiet operation is very important to me, so I'm looking for a manufacturer that produces motherboards without coil whine
• I would like built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
• at least 4 SATA ports
• BIOS flashback
• good warranty support from the manufacturer

I would also like to ensure that the SilentiumPC Fortis 5 cooler I currently have is compatible with the new motherboard and won't interfere with any potential radiators. It would be great if the system's startup time is not too long, but if it takes a few minutes, I can live with it.

Grand Theft Auto is no stranger to add-on content, but the latest in a long line of leaks suggests Rockstar might be taking a bit of a different approach for the long-awaited sequel — splitting up parts of the game to repackage as DLC.
The rumor comes from established Rockstar leaker Tez2, who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently targeting a release in holiday 2024 “which has been pushed back multiple times.” Tez2 adds the game may be pushed back again, into to 2025.
Furthermore, Tez2 claims Rockstar is considering breaking up the game’s content into post-launch DLC, to ensure the game can meet a release date. If GTA 6 launches in 2024, it will be a whopping 11 years since the last release in the franchise.
This wouldn’t be an unprecedented move from Rockstar, considering the approach the studio has taken with GTA Online, incrementally releasing massive updates and new story content. Notably, however, GTA 5 didn’t feature any additional story content, just updates to the Online portion of the game.
GTA Online GTA Online has managed to stay relevant for a decade with consistent updates, and it makes sense Rockstar would pivot to that same approach to single-player content.ROCKSTAR Taking this approach would let Rockstar more easily hit whatever internal timeline is established for GTA 6, and provide a road map of content to make post-launch more appealing to players. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this kind of rumor has been brought up by Tez2, as last August the leaker reported GTA 6 would “expand over time,” adding on new cities after launch.
The easiest approach would be to create content that ties into both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of GTA 6, and creating new cities in-game could do just that. New locations could be fully playable in the online portion, while also adding on hand-crafted stories and missions. This would allow Rockstar to continue the overwhelming success of GTA Online, while story content could help attract new players or those that might not care to engage with multiplayer.
This tactic of splitting up elements of the game as DLC is something Nintendo has been using for years, to great success. Mario Strikers: Battle League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Nintendo Switch Sports, have all seen scheduled add-ons for new content, even years after their initial release. At this point, it’s not clear how much of a live-service element there will be for GTA 6, but this Nintendo-like approach would allow Rockstar to retain players who are primarily interested in single-player experiences.
GTA 5 Although GTA 5 never received single-player DLC, Rockstar’s director of design said in a 2017 interview the studio would “love to do more single-player add-ons for games in the future.”ROCKSTAR Nintendo stands apart from other developers, though, in that typically these updates are free or bundled with a Switch Online subscription. It’s a smart move, as games like Mario Strikers, which would typically have a very short shelf life, suddenly provide players with more of a reason to stick with it for the long haul. It also allows Nintendo to continue to sell its older, first-party titles with minimal discounts.
There’s no video game property in existence bigger than Grand Theft Auto, and a report in 2020 estimated GTA Online made a staggering $600 million in 2019. Even in 2023, it continues to hold an enviable place in the sales charts month after month. The popularity of GTA Online has only continued to increase over the years, and that mainstream success is exactly what’s poised to make GTA 6 such a massive success.
Breaking up content into DLC lets Rockstar bring GTA 6 back into the conversation every six months, year, or whatever release timeline suits the studio and the community best. Seeing a big GTA 6 update in a State of Play or other presentation will likely bring thousands of players flocking back to the game, and considering GTA 5 and GTA Online are still alive and kicking a decade later, it’s easy to say Rockstar is hoping for lightning to strike twice with GTA 6.

Do you have the best job ?
"For me, it is an honor to be the coach of my country. I was in this position for two years, but at that time, I had said that the only club that could call me was Barcelona. This coaching position is different, as there is more free time, and you don't have a game every three days. Everyone is happy, especially the players who are selected, so the atmosphere is very good. The Netherlands is a country that is devoted to its national team, and it's fun."
Did you feel indebted to your country for having gone to Barcelona?
"I think everyone understood my decision. It was stated in the contract that if Barça made an offer, I could leave for a certain amount of money. There was not a single player who said anything negative to me about it."
Although leaving for Barça meant a considerable financial compromise...
"Yes, but we already know that at that time, there were many problems at the club, such as Covid and a lack of funds. During my time, I faced many challenges. Despite all of that, if I had the opportunity to go back, I would go. I have a great love for Barça."
Was such a difficult situation expected at the club?
"I knew it because I had spoken to them several times, but I didn't expect it to be like that. Covid also had an influence; we played a year without an audience, and that was very difficult. I also didn't expect Griezmann and Messi to leave... I have been through a lot, and I never thought that all of these circumstances could happen. It's life, and you have to accept it. It's just too bad that it only lasted for a year and four months."
"In the first year, when Bartomeu took a step back until the elections, I was the spokesperson for the club for everything... As a coach, you have to think, train, and win games. But there were many instances where I was the only one answering questions that were not my responsibility. It was a good experience, but complicated. I saw a statement from Xavi in which he talked about the difficult times because of family, criticism, etc., and that was just for winning a championship. It is a very complex, political club, where there are many factions and movements... As a Dutchman, it is difficult to understand why this doesn't happen elsewhere. There are critics everywhere, but not certain influences."
In those kinds of moments, does the family suffer?
"That happens to any coach at a high level. It hurt me a lot because at that time, there were doubts about me, and that hurt me. I think I deserved more support from the club. They believe that coaches earn a lot of money... But your family, your parents, also have difficult times. And when there is love, it hurts more, of course."
As the months go by, do you think they treated you unfairly?
"What is unfair? I don't know. Firing a coach is part of football. The people from football and within the club, from the technical side, told me that I did a lot for the club. Even the young people have thanked me for giving them their debut. In general, there is a lot of influence from the inside out. If a president leaves doubts about his coach, it's a problem. That was unfair. But it's in the past now, and I want to turn the page. It has been hard, but you also learn. If I had to do it over again, there are a few things I could do differently. In the first season, we won the Cup, we were leaders, and with everything that was going on, including the fact that we couldn't sign players, we put young people in the team... I think it was very acceptable. In the second year, we lost Messi. I have done many things for the good of Barça. For example, on the last day, when there was an offer for Griezmann, I could not said no."
Was Messi's departure expected?
"It was a surprise. They told me during preseason, "Tomorrow we have a meeting with Messi and his father, we'll sign and he will stay." The next day, Laporta called me to tell me, "I see it as complicated." And at night, he left. Messi is Barcelona, he did so much for the club that he didn't deserve to leave like that."
You made youngsters like Gavi, Pedri, Araujo, Mingueza, Balde debut... Did anyone particularly catch your attention?
"Pedri was the first youngster, and I didn't know him well. He is the player who surprised me the most because from the first day, he was already playing at a higher level than his age, and in training, he was impressive. He is humble, professional, has a lot of quality, plays with both legs, has good vision, is calm, and composed. A week after training with the first team, the club asked me if I wasn't going to play him, as Bayern were very interested. I told them that he was staying and that soon he was going to be the starter, and that's exactly what happened. All the youngsters, like Araújo, Mingueza, Nico, Gavi, or Balde, had a phenomenal attitude, and I have no complaints about any of them. They knew that if they played well, I would give them opportunities."
You have made debut to a lot of footballers who have not fared badly...
"At Ajax, I gave many young players like Ibrahimovic, Van der Vaart, and Sneijder their debut, with the task of changing their way of playing and being. These are players whose talent you can quickly see. Giving them the news that they are going to debut is the most beautiful thing as a coach. In the Netherlands, we are more accustomed to it because there aren't many footballers here, and the young players are the future."
What do you think of Gavi's attitude in some matches? Can it be counterproductive?
"His eagerness is a virtue as a player because of how he is and how he approaches the game. With more experience, he will change, but to do that, he needs to take risks. He has a coach who helps him, so I don't think it's a problem. Sometimes he needs to calm down a bit because he wants to do too much. It's a virtue, but over time, it can change. I told him several times to be careful because he can't always go for the ball at certain times. In addition, there are experienced players who can anticipate his moves and use it against him. Sometimes he doesn't have to go for the ball but wait to see what the opponent does."
Sneijder told us that at that age, no matter how much they said something to him, he did not listen. Do the young soccer players ever listen ?
"Generally, yes. I had him when he made his debut at Ajax, and then, those who make it to the first team are already a bit overconfident; they think they are already Messi. Surely now, he remembers that there were times when he had to listen. A young man can be wrong; I also did bad things at the age of 20; nothing happens. If you learn, it's perfect."
Can you be friends with the player?
"What is a friend? Well, in my experience, I considered myself a friend of Cruyff when he was my coach. It depends on the way you define it. Despite him criticizing me more than other players, after a game or training, we would go eat with the rest of the team, including the women, and there was never a problem. In a squad, you tend to have closer relationships with some players than with others. For instance, I have a special bond with Memphis Depay. We understand each other very well, and he often calls me to discuss football. Once he called me to ask my thoughts on Atlético de Madrid's offers, and I advised him to focus on playing regularly and being selected for the national team. Before the World Cup, he had been injured and hadn't played a full game. Rather than defining our relationship as one of friendship, I believe in having a good rapport with my teammates."
Do you try to keep an eye on the lives of your players off the pitch?
"I am interested in personal life because it can have an influence on your performance, clearly. You have to ask young people what their life is like outside the club, whether they live alone or with their family... It's interesting, and that way, you can also help them if they have a problem. I have always told them that the doors of my office are open because there are more important things than football."
What is it like to train Messi? Are there still things that can be taught?
"No, there is nothing that he lacked, everything that I wanted to teach him, he already had. It was fantastic. He had a lot of respect for me and I for him. I tried to help him, and in his first year, he was phenomenal, scoring 35 goals. Even though it was difficult at first, in the end, he was happy because he saw that young players were emerging, and he was happy in training..."
The game played by this Barça, do you think it can be maintained over time?
"At Barça, it's very complicated because they expect you to play well with wingers, dominate the game... Lately, I've watched some games and they defend very well when they need to. They concede very few goals, which is part of football because when the opposing team dominates, you have to defend yourself. It seems that for Barça fans, it's not normal to defend well, and they always expect nice football. However, defending well is also a quality of a team. There are opponents who know how to play, you know? I've been criticized for playing with three defenders, but a system like that can be more offensive than one with 4 or 5. It's not the system itself, but at Barça, you have to play with three midfielders and a pivot. If you play with two midfielders and a number 10, it's difficult. Barça lives a lot in the past, and there are different ways of playing depending on the players. In the end, what matters is winning the championship.
Barça is like Ajax, they have to attack, score lots of goals... Sometimes, you can win without playing well or without having much possession of the ball, as happened against Madrid. They need to improve their football, but when you don't have the ball, defending well is an important quality."
While at Barça, you suffered some heart problems, how are you now?
Well, every 3-4 months I check up, I'm in good health. This is a quieter life.
