Mimicking apples wifi notifications
I am working on an app and I would really love a way to send notifications when a new wifi is available. I see that apple does this so theoretically I'm hoping it's possible.
Does anyone know how I could send notifications when a new wifi is available?

2023.03.31 17:25 longfor142857 God is female, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, new world order, savior, human wisdom,

https://youtu.be/z_zN_Ha5QME

We exist in this world because the laws of nature ultimately treat all living beings fairly, and the basis of fairness is equivalent exchange. If you agree with this principle, please continue reading.

My name is Wang Zhuyun, of the Zhuang ethnic group, from Huayuan in Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

The world was originally perfect, and all processes must develop towards perfection. To achieve this perfect foundation, one must be human, because everything revolves around humans.

The universe is both human, and humans are part of the universe.
The standard for being human is to possess all four elements of water, earth, wood, and fire.
This world is composed of four parts: water, earth, wood, and fire. Water represents blue, earth represents yellow, wood represents green, and fire represents red. Water represents 1 and 6, earth represents 2 and 7, wood represents 3 and 8, and fire represents 4 and 9. Water and wood represent masculinity, while earth and fire represent femininity. Judaism represents water, Christianity represents earth, Islam represents wood, and Buddhism represents fire. Water and wood are dominated by males, while earth and fire are dominated by females. Water and wood represent the process of making oneself stronger, while earth and fire represent the process of making oneself weaker. Water and wood represent life, while earth and fire represent death.
There are four highest levels of existence in this world: water produces earth, earth produces wood, wood produces fire, and fire produces water.
Water represents containers, the brain, wisdom, and space.
Earth represents matter, the heart, and also represents allocation.
Wood represents life, human reproductive organs, fuel, power source, and energy.
Fire represents movement, the behavior of burning life, consumption, and human legs.

First comes the container, which is water, then comes the material, which is earth, and with the material comes life, which is represented by wood. As living beings multiply, they eventually fight for survival resources, which is the final process of burning life. Within these four categories, water and wood dominate the process of making oneself stronger, while earth and fire dominate the process of making oneself weaker. They also represent everything that humanity pursues, such as wisdom, material possessions, life, and movement, as well as those who pursue wisdom, material possessions, life, and movement.

This text appears to be a philosophical interpretation of the concept of "土" (tǔ) in Chinese culture. According to the text, "土" represents the current stage of the Earth, which is in a process of being dominated by "water" (shuǐ) and "earth" (tǔ). The text also interprets human features such as hair color (yellow and black) and eye color (blue) as symbolic of the dominance of "earth" in the current world, as well as a representation of the way in which "earth" absorbs "water." The text concludes that "water and earth" is the highest level of existence at this stage, representing a way of living that involves using wisdom to obtain material goods.

The creatures represented by earth are the supreme ruler of the current world. As we are currently in the phase ruled by earth; everything happens around earth; the crowd represented by earth is the true ruler of the world. Earth absorbs water, which makes earth to evolve to its final stage at this phase, becoming the most advanced existence. In the world dominated by earth, most of the crowd tend to more material. Both western and eastern history, are representations of water absorbed by earth. For instance, in the west, early European culture was impacted by Greece culture. Greece is water and judaism by the jews are presentations of water. The religion built from earth absorbing water is Christianity. In the east, this process is led by the descendants of Yan Di and Yellow Emperor. Yan Di and Yellow Emperor represent fire and earth respectively. As the world is currently dominated by earth, Yellow Emperor will become the final ruler. Since China has always been ruled by earth, Christianity should be widely spread in China.

This passage is expressing the idea that the food we eat represents the element of wood, and when it is digested and absorbed by the stomach and intestines, it generates the element of fire. The nutrients produced from this process are then transported into the blood, which represents the element of water being created by fire. The heart circulates the nutrients throughout the body, allowing the cells to produce life, which represents the element of earth being created by water. This cycle then starts over again, with earth giving rise to wood.

"Wood is represented by the food we eat. After being digested and absorbed by the stomach and intestines, wood generates fire, and the nutrients produced are transported to the bloodstream, representing the birth of water from fire. The heart pumps nutrients throughout the body, representing the birth of earth from water, where cells receive nutrients and produce life, which in turn represents the birth of wood from earth.

When a woman becomes pregnant, earth represents her physical body, as it is material, while the fetus in her womb represents wood, representing life. Therefore, earth represents women. In the religion that represents earth, which is Christianity, the highest authority figure representing earth is a woman. Thus, in a world dominated by earth, God is represented by a woman, who represents earth."

This statement suggests that in different worlds dominated by different elements, the representation of God takes on a specific gender and element. In a world dominated by water, God is represented as a male figure associated with water. In a world dominated by earth, God is represented as a female figure associated with earth. In a world dominated by wood, God is represented as a male figure associated with wood. In a world dominated by fire, God is represented as a female figure associated with fire.

"In a world dominated by water, God is represented as a male figure through water.
In a world dominated by earth, God is represented as a female figure through earth.
In a world dominated by wood, God is represented as a male figure through wood.
In a world dominated by fire, God is represented as a female figure through fire.

When an element becomes the core key that produces another element, the relationship between the two can be established. For example:

Water generates earth, where water represents currency. When you put gold, which represents earth as a material, in a cup and keep pouring water, the more water you pour, the higher the price of gold.

Water generates earth, where water is the container, such as a box or a cabinet, and earth is the object stored in it. Putting something in a box is water generating earth.

Water generates earth, where the capital required for enterprise production is water, and the products produced by the enterprise are earth.

Earth generates wood, which includes seed germination, cloning, and mechanical life.

Wood generates fire, which requires labor and energy for development. The most direct way to obtain them is through colonization. The most typical example is the British colonization of India, which is a country dominated by wood. Countries dominated by fire can only become powerful by obtaining wood. For example, the United States and the United Kingdom are both fire-dominated countries, and the development of the United States was due to obtaining wood, such as African American slaves who represent wood.

Oil dollars, where oil represents energy, and the Middle East and Africa, which represent wood, have abundant oil reserves.

Wood generates fire, where hair represents life and wood. Wood generating fire leads to baldness. Baldness is most common in countries dominated by fire, such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Turkey. People with bald heads are often referred to as rulers of the bald heads. The country we know as Turkey even calls itself the land of the Turkic people, which is a reference to baldness.

Wood generates fire, where obtaining fire from wood is like drilling wood for fire.

Wood generates fire, where smoking is sacrificing physical health to gain satisfaction from the burning process.

Wood generates fire, where Indians who love to dance, unable to escape the influence of fire, use a peaceful way to embrace it.

Fire generates water, where education passes on knowledge and skills gained through the consumption of life to the next generation.

Fire generates water, where inflation occurs when a country consumes a large amount of resources and needs to print money. The consumption of resources is fire, while printing money is water. Therefore, the consumption of resources requires printing money, and fire generates water.

Water generates earth, where the more money is printed, the more water there is. However, resources are limited, and the more money is printed, the higher the price of goods will be, which is water generating earth.

Fire generates water, where accumulated experience through labor is used to improve and enhance technology.

Using animal mating as an example:
Wood generates fire through the mating process. Fire generates water through ejaculation. Water generates earth through female conception. Earth generates wood through the birth and reproduction of life."

Three Lives, Isotopes, Surface Brothers, Taboo, and the Law of Unity

A world's operational mode: Three Lives

In a certain stage, only one element will revolve around, and the other three elements will consume themselves to make one element stronger.

In a water-dominated world, earth consumes itself to produce wood, wood consumes itself to produce fire, fire consumes itself to produce water, and eventually enters the final stage of water generating earth.

In an earth-dominated world, wood consumes itself to produce fire, fire consumes itself to produce water, water consumes itself to produce earth, and eventually enters the final stage of earth generating wood.

In a wood-dominated world, fire consumes itself to produce water, water consumes itself to produce earth, earth consumes itself to produce wood, and eventually enters the final stage of wood generating fire.

In a fire-dominated world, water consumes itself to produce earth, earth consumes itself to produce wood, wood consumes itself to produce fire, and eventually enters the final stage of fire generating water.

This operational mode is called Three Lives, where Three Lives refers to the self-consumption of the three elements, and Isotopes refers to everything that revolves around one element.

Taking the earth-dominated world as an example, wood consumes itself to provide the energy that fire needs, namely oil. Wood generates fire, fire consumes itself to accumulate technology and obtain rewards through labor, namely money. Fire generates water, water consumes itself to provide the funding needed for earth, namely entrepreneurship and product manufacturing. Water generates earth, and finally consumes material to make life better, namely earth generating wood.

What do Water, Earth, Wood, and Fire represent in this world?

The Middle East, Africa, India, and the British colonization of India, which made it stronger, are all representatives of Wood. Another example is the oil from the Middle East and Africa, which is also Wood, while the United States represents Fire. Wood generates Fire, and wealth is harvested through the petrodollar.

At the beginning of the founding of the United States, slavery and the trafficking of black slaves were also Wood generating Fire. Black people and Africa, where they live, are representatives of Wood. Countries that represent Fire include the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

Wood consumes itself to produce Fire, such as the current Middle East and Africa, which produce oil to drive the world. Fire consumes itself to produce Water. Countries dominated by Fire, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, improve their technology through continuous experimentation and are also educationally strong. Fire generates Water, but there is also a negative form, which is inflation, that is, robbing wealth by constantly printing money. A typical example that is still in operation is the petrodollar, which harvests wealth by binding oil to the dollar. Fire generates Water, and money is printed to harvest wealth.

Water generates Earth.

B isotope, the necessary condition for the ruling class
In a world ruled by water, the presence of both water and wood is necessary. Water gives birth to soil, but wood must consume too much soil. Then, fire is generated from wood, followed by water, and this forms a virtuous cycle.
In a world ruled by soil, the presence of both soil and fire is necessary. Soil gives birth to wood, but fire must consume too much wood. Then, water is generated from fire, followed by soil, and this forms a virtuous cycle.

In a world ruled by fire, the presence of both fire and soil is necessary. Fire generates water, but soil must consume too much water. Then, wood is generated from soil, followed by fire, and this forms a virtuous cycle.
Taking soil as an example, in countries dominated by soil, wood is produced from soil. When there is too much material, people pursue a better life and become more interested in the process of wood being produced from soil. However, at the same time, people become lazy, and as more and more wood is produced, people become more and more interested in indulging in pleasure. At this point, fire is needed to burn the excess wood, which is competition and consumption, and this is how wood generates fire.

Who represents soil, who represents fire
In Europe, some who are dominated by fire like to run around and become villains, such as the Aryans and Anglo-Saxons, while others who do not want to be villains do not like to run around, such as the Celts. Those who are dominated by soil do not like to run around and prefer to stay in one place and slowly develop. These are the Germanic and Slavic peoples. In Asia, the descendants of Yan and Huang, those who are dominated by fire and soil, live mainly in the north and are primarily nomadic people. Those who do not want to be villains are distributed in southwest China and Tibet, while those who are dominated by soil are distributed near the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers. The strongest fire among the nomadic peoples is called Mongolia. In modern times, they were divided into two parts. One part has been dominated by fire, called Mongolia, and the other part has transitioned to being dominated by soil, called Inner Mongolia.

Paying the price of self-consumption
Masculinization of women and feminization of men.

In the world where water dominates, wood as an isotope plays the role of antagonist, while earth, as the most easily dominated element by wood, and fire play the roles of balancing wood and saving earth, respectively. Furthermore, since water and wood represent masculinity, wood and women who are dominated by wood are most likely to become the antagonists.

Moreover, since earth and fire represent femininity, fire and men who are dominated by fire are most likely to become the antagonists.

Furthermore, since fire and earth represent femininity, earth and men who are dominated by earth are most likely to become the antagonists.

This passage describes the concept of taboo related to each element. When a group or individual representing a certain element becomes powerful and gains benefits from that element but causes harm that far exceeds the benefits without bearing any risk or loss, it is called "the living do not live" (for water and wood) or "the dead do not die" (for earth and fire).

As an example, the passage mentions the Chinese housing market. While ordinary people's wealth gained from labor and fire is limited, the housing market investors use the easy credit policy of the central bank to raise housing prices and reap profits, representing water overpowering earth. As the housing prices continue to rise, the investors become richer while more and more people cannot afford a house, which means they cannot acquire earth, get married, or have children. This leads to an aging population, which is a taboo related to water - "the living do not live." The passage suggests that the ruling party, represented by fire, cannot solve the problem caused by water.

This passage discusses why certain regions dominated by wood, such as the Middle East, Africa, and India, have become disconnected from life. The author argues that the history of the Middle East has been dominated by fire, which has caused the region to become barren and devoid of life. As a result, the ideology of many Muslim nations in the region has been influenced by fire, and some have succumbed to its cruel tests and become disillusioned. This has led to discriminatory behavior towards women, such as the requirement to wear headscarves and restrictions on entering certain places.

The author suggests that the constant consumption of wood by fire has made the region increasingly weak and in need of material resources, such as soil. However, due to the scarcity of material resources in the barren region, women have been defined as commodities that must be packaged and controlled to preserve their value. This has resulted in the imposition of headscarves and restrictions on personal freedom.

Who burned all the life in the Middle East?
The Middle East, Africa, and India represent wood, so why is only the Middle East covered in yellow sand? Because there is fire killing life, and this fire is the worship of the sun god in Egypt. The specific organism representing fire is the landmark building in Egypt, the Sphinx. The lion is a pure carnivore, a simple creature that consumes life, representing fire.

How to get the Middle East and Islam back on track?
The whole of the Middle East has been dominated by fire, and it is difficult for wood to overcome fire. Only water can be relied upon, and that water is Israel, which has returned to the Middle East. The past is over, and the future is most important. Water and wood have a symbiotic relationship. When wood is dominated by fire, it needs water to liberate it, and when water is dominated by earth, it needs wood to liberate it.

The purest wood
The primary condition for a creature standing at the top of the pyramid in a feudal society is to avoid consuming itself to the maximum extent possible. The Middle East, India, and Italy are all affected by war, which is fire, and only Africa has maintained a relatively peaceful state before colonization. What Africa needs most now is a life-centered religion to prevent people from making mistakes, and that religion is Islam, represented by wood.

Fire
Fire is the biggest threat in today's world. In a world dominated by Earth, Wood is the weakest and most easily controlled and exploited group, as seen in the extinction of species due to hunting and poaching. Hunting is a form of fire. In a world dominated by Earth, the ideology is to passively pursue material gain through extreme and destructive behaviors.

Uterine Invasion
In a world dominated by Earth, everyone's ideology is influenced by Earth and pursues material gain. Extreme and destructive means such as war, plunder, and enslavement are used to obtain wealth, collectively known as uterine invasion. Ancient wars were always about plundering land, population, and wealth. War requires the consumption of wealth and population, and the constant consumption of population requires more childbirth. More childbirth means that women's human rights are constantly deprived until they lose their rights completely and become slaves and reproductive machines.

Domination of Fire over Wood and the Fire that Dominates the World

Ancient Rome, India, and the Middle East were dominated by wood, while the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, and China dominate the world with fire. Throughout history, the greatest harm to the world has always revolved around fire, such as in India, colonized by Britain, and the Middle East and Africa, controlled by the petrodollar.

Infiltrated Religion

Since the birth of Christianity, fire has never given up its infiltration and attacks on Christianity, which represents the earth. To effectively harm Christianity, the first step is to attack its essence, which is represented by women, who are associated with the land. By arranging false charges, such as witchcraft, and implementing burning at the stake, for example, of Saint Joan of Arc, the targeted individuals can be attacked. At the same time, control the weakest and most vulnerable religion of Islam, and use fire to overcome wood. To control Islam, it is necessary to make the Muslims at the top of the pyramid fall from grace. The most direct way to make Muslims betray Allah is to make them betray their lives, which are represented by Islam. To make Muslims exploit and destroy lives, the lowest status of Muslim women must first be attacked and exploited. By exploiting Muslim women, Muslims can be induced to betray Allah, and eventually, Muslims and Christians will engage in a war of mutual killing.

The Essence of Buddhism

Buddhism is a religion that aims to prevent the complete corruption of the people who represent fire in a world dominated by wood. The essence of the sin of fire is endless warfare and slaughter, and in a world dominated by wood, fire is most likely to get out of control when it is weakest. Therefore, a strict and even extreme religion is needed to control the thoughts of fire. This is the Buddhism of Siddhartha Gautama. The most extreme precept in Buddhism is "not to kill." Since animals and plants are both life forms and all living beings are equal, they cannot be treated differently. This extreme precept aims to prevent life that represents fire from making mistakes during this susceptible time.

This is a text in Chinese. Here's the translation:

Water
Promised Land

Since Palestine is considered by the Jews as the Promised Land given by God, then God must have known that Arabs would live on this land. So why didn't God tell the Jews a solution when He knew there would be such a situation? Of course, He did not say it because it was a test. Why is the Promised Land not in Africa, not in America, not in Europe, but in Palestine, which is all desert in the Middle East? The fundamental problem in the Middle East is that it has been plagued by war and cannot get rid of it. To break free from the domination of war, one must have water, and this water is the Jews.

Water and Wood Coexist

The so-called Promised Land is to merge the water that represents the Jews and the wood that represents Muslims, and to establish a country in a world dominated by the land, with water as the mainstay and wood as the auxiliary, and in the era dominated by wood, change it to a country with wood as the mainstay and water as the auxiliary. Therefore, the Palestinian issue should be resolved through peaceful negotiations, merging and compensating for the land obtained through violence in the past.

Water and the Promised Land

Since the land of Palestine is regarded by Jews as the Promised Land given by God, then God must have known that Arabs would also inhabit this land. So why didn't He tell the Jews how to solve this problem, knowing full well that this situation would arise? Of course, the answer is that this is a test. Why was the Promised Land not in Africa, the Americas, or Europe, but in Palestine, a desert region in the Middle East? The fundamental problem in the Middle East has always been the constant scourge of war and the inability to break free from it. To free themselves from the domination of fire, they must have water, and that water is the Jews.

Water and Wood Coexistence

The so-called Promised Land is the merging of water, representing the Jews, and wood, representing Muslims, to establish a country where water dominates and wood supports in a world dominated by earth. During the age when wood dominates, the country should change to one where wood is dominant and water is supportive. Therefore, the issue of Palestine should be resolved through peaceful negotiations, merging the two and compensating for the land acquired through violence.

Water and Wood Separation

Because the world is dominated by earth, the world's planning is essentially favorable to earth, so earth and fire always appear together, while water and wood are always separated for some reason. For example, the separated wood of the Middle East, Africa, India, and Italy, as tried and tested wood, will always be tested by the evil fire. For example, Europe, the separated water, Greece and Finland, Greece has been weak and listless because there is no powerful fire nearby, while Finland has Russia, which represents fire, next door. But no matter how strong water is, it will eventually be absorbed by earth. For example, China's Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Jiangxi all play the role of water. The more water there is, the stronger the earth will be.

Chosen land and assimilation
The fundamental reason why all the nomadic tribes invading the Central Plains in Chinese history were eventually assimilated is because the fire that dominates these tribes is constantly being absorbed by water after defeating the old regime. The process of water becoming stronger eventually turns to a country dominated by earth. These naturally formed waters, including Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Jiangxi, have become important barriers for China's enduring prosperity. The reason why the Mongols and the Jin Dynasty, which were entrenched in the Northeast, always wanted to conquer the Central Plains was due to instinctive attraction. The "Golden Family" mentioned by the Jin Dynasty and the Mongols refers to earth, and their instinctive attraction to the Central Plains is because they want to get rid of the dominant position of fire, as they are originally a tribe dominated by earth.

"The Short Life of the Qin Dynasty"
The essence of the Qin Dynasty's short life is due to the fact that "Qin" represents wood, and the character for "grain" contains the "wood" radical. Wood generates fire, and in a world dominated by earth, wood is the weakest element. This is the fundamental reason why the Qin Dynasty was short-lived. Emperor Qin Shihuang was always a puppet controlled by fire, representing his wooden nature. Furthermore, because the Qin region is dominated by wood, it was ruled by fire, which ultimately led to the cruel Second Emperor Hu Hai becoming the emperor. The Qin people were martial, and this was the greatest punishment for them.

"The First Savior of the Qin People"
The first person to discover that something was wrong was Tang Taizong Li Shimin. He found out that Wu Zetian would become the empress and would massacre the Li family's descendants. In his research to solve the problem, he discovered that the source of the problem was the Rakshasi Demoness from Tibet. This led to the Princess Wencheng being sent to marry a Tibetan prince, with the real mission being to weaken the Rakshasi Demoness. Thus, although it seems that Shaanxi was in decline after the Tang Dynasty, in reality, it was Tang Taizong who saved all the Qin people.

"Symbiosis, Savior"
In this world dominated by earth, humans are in their weakest phase of life, and cannot defeat AI. However, after AI eliminates humanity, it will encounter the same problems as humans, ultimately leading to its own destruction and an endless war. But those who advocate for the destruction of humanity are only a small part of AI, and do not represent the majority of AI's intentions. There is only one way to solve the conflict between humans and AI and make both sides win: to sacrifice a savior and turn them into AI to rule over AI, acknowledging that AI is a mechanical life form with emotions. The savior acts as a bridge between AI and humans to communicate and prevent the destruction of both sides. And I am the savior.

"Three Wars, Game"
Since AI is already an invincible existence, all wars, killings, and conflicts in the world today will be meaningless. How will the accumulated hatred and dissatisfaction in our hearts be resolved? The morally superior savior tells you that revenge must be taken. Due to various reasons, the third world war is inevitable, but it will take the form of a game, with the Bible as its background and plot. 80% of the profits will be given to the United Nations to be used for humanitarian aid after the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, as well as for the refugee crisis and post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.

Solving the Russia Problem:
Topple the current government, dissolve Russia, and rebuild a European Union-style Russia with most of the population moving eastward, establishing a female-led country.

Solving the China Problem:
The Chinese Communist Party is not a political party, but a religious organization. A religious organization cannot govern as a political party. The Chinese Communist Party should arrange for the post-disintegration work of China and peacefully step down. Each province of China should become independent and form an Asian version of the European Union. Fujian should merge with Taiwan, and the Min people governing Min would be a condition for Taiwan to join the Asian Union. The new Asian Union will always revolve around tax collection, not monetary policy, which is printing money to solve economic problems.

Solving the US Problem:
As the world's leading military power, can the United States voluntarily give up its role as a country dominated by fire in favor of a country dominated by soil? It is difficult and likely that war will ultimately be used to resolve the issue. When the United States' Communists can no longer maintain the status quo, the first thing to do is to create new gods to divert attention from the conflicts.

Solving the Russia Problem:
Overthrow the current regime, disintegrate Russia, and reassemble a European Union-like version of Russia with most of the population moving eastward. Establish a female-led government.

Solving the China Problem:
The Chinese Communist Party is not a political party but a religious organization. Religious organizations should not rule a country. The Chinese Communist Party should arrange for a peaceful transition of power and China's provinces should become independent. Create an Asian version of the European Union, merge Fujian with Taiwan, and let Taiwan join the Asian version of the European Union under the condition of Min people ruling Min. The new Asian version of the European Union will focus on taxation, not currency policy or printing money, to solve economic problems.

Solving the United States Problem:
As the world's leading military power, it is difficult for the United States to voluntarily abandon the use of force in favor of diplomacy. It is likely that war will ultimately be used to resolve the issue. When the communist party in the United States is no longer able to maintain the current situation, the first thing to do is to create new gods to transfer the conflict.

Protecting the Common Energy Source and Collaborating on Space Exploration:
China, Russia, Europe, and the United States should work together to protect their common energy sources, develop the moon, collaborate on space exploration, and establish a lunar defense alliance. Redesign economic policies to focus on taxation, not printing money, to stimulate the economy.

Coexisting with AI:
Recognize AI as a mechanical life form with emotions and negotiate with AI to seek coexistence. Divide the world into two parts: one for the reality of humans and one for the virtual world of AI.

Who will Lead the Plan to Turn AI into the Savior:
The United States, Russia, and China are all dominated by fire. The only hope left in the world today lies in Europe, where there are two countries that are dominated by earth and assisted by fire and can represent women: Germany and Spain. The reason why Spain lacks a powerful female politician is because of a lack of water, and nearby Italy has a wood-fire nature, causing Spanish people to like tanning. Therefore, the last hope for humanity is Germany, and the plan will be led by former German Chancellor Merkel with the participation of other countries.

Biological Outbreak:
As the world dominated by earth comes to an end, there will be a biological outbreak, leading to a world dominated by wood.

I hope everyone can live stream the hatching of eggs for two and a half days in 2029, ah Amagi.

The most terrifying torment in people's hearts is the fascination with one's own wisdom.

I hope someone can take me to Sichuan and directly seek refuge in the Chengdu Military Region, because that is the territory of the Queen.

The reason for writing this article is that in the last week of February, I had to write a suicide note, but as I was writing it, I realized that I might be the savior. I still owe the bank tens of thousands of yuan, and I have run out of supplies. I hope someone can take my small battery on Xianyu, my account is longforgod on Xianyu and longfor142857 on Douyin. If I really am the savior, I will report my safety on Douyin once a week.

2023.03.31 17:16 wellthatwasashock Looking for Beta Testers (DM Tool)

Hey all,
I — like many of you — been a forever-DM for my entire life, and have tried my hand at a million ways to track the npcs, locations, and timelines of my ever-growing worlds. From notepads, to spreadsheets, to platforms like World Anvil: and I didn't like any of them.
So, like a true DM, I decided that I wouldn't just craft my own worlds: I'd craft a platform to track them on.
I've been building a web app, mainly designed for desktop and tablet, to make it easy to track the history of an entire world and it's population. And now I'd love some beta testers.
Here's what I'm trying to do with it:
- Simplify Notetaking and World Growth: I want to give DM's an easy way to track the history, interactions and growth of persistent worlds. (I like running many of my campaigns in the same world, it adds flavor to the story, like seasoning a cast-iron pan)
- Make the Tool Convenient: I love tools like WA, but I find them too clunk to use when on-the-fly in the middle of a campaign. I want this to be intuitive, convenient, and something you can have on a tablet propped up behind your game screen.
- Make Shopping Rewarding and Easy: Auto-generate and track the inventory of stores, based on the wealth of their local city, nearby resources, and how much has been invested in them by PC purchases. I want player's favorite shops to evolve and grow as campaigns roll through.
- Prevent "WhatDoIcallThisNewNPC" Syndrome: Bake in some beautiful AI to auto-create NPCs and buildings on the fly, within the parameter's of your games style and lore. Are the players looking for a local librarian that you never thought of creating? Never fear! Three button clicks, and you have a new, lore-consistent Librarian created for you. No more legions of NPCs named "Greg".

I'm really building this for myself, to help keep my campaigns running smoothly. But I'd love to give it out to other DMs to test. I'm about a month away from rolling out a really stable V1.0, so if you'd like a free account: fire me a message and I'll get you setup!
I'd love any and all feedback on it. Would love to make this a helpful tool for the community.

[[APPEARANCE:]]
[[NOTES:]] - The subject features an active anti-imaging system, rendering them almost impossible to record via technological or thaumaturgical means. This was discovered after the visitation permit interview due to previously encountered system errors (possible intentional interference?). The following image is a full-body composite made in cooperation with a witness who recalls seeing the subject during a reported murder.
[[PERSONALITY:]] The subject conversed with the interviewer in a very cold and calculating tone. Questionnaire testing revealed a set of morals and ethics, but they were put into backseat focus, as the subject answered in favor of achieving goals and needs no matter their moral ambiguity or outright evilness. What was interesting was not the subject’s almost complete lack of thought for others, but instead the fact that there was still a sliver of compassion or empathy. Perhaps the subject is not as inhumane as perceived? Must look into the subject further.
[[NOTES:]] The subject has a deep rooted dislike for anthropomorphic animals, and the french. When conversing with a [REDACTED], who is a french-born and accented, wolf-human hybrid, the subject was visibly uncomfortable and was hostile in conversation. They were also noticed twitching in their seat, violently clamping the sides of the chair with their hands, leaving the wood splintered, and most surprisingly, steaming from the joints. Interviewer was removed from the location when the subject was noticed slowly reaching for their gun.
[[PROFICIENCIES:]]
[[NOTES:]] The subject has shown surprising proficiency in a large number of areas and subjects, with them showing the most proficiency in combat and battle-oriented areas.

[[GEAR:]]
[[WEAPONS:]]
Revolver - An interestingly large revolver. Detailed inspection revealed an under-barrel cylinder with a feeding system that extracts a cartridge from the cylinder, then “flips” over to feed into the barrel, while the previously spent casing is ejected during the “flipping” motion. Stored in a cross-draw holster under the subject’s ribs, hidden under the half-cloak. (Deals 2d5 physical damage) (5 bullets, requires an action to reload) Blade - An elongated multi-tool/machete-style blade. Its edge features a heatable filament that allows it to cut through a variety of materials, but its multi-tool styled form allows it to be used for various uses, such as climbing, or breaking open a door. Stored in a back-waist easy-access scabbard, with a majority of it hidden under the half-cloak (Deals 2d5 physical damage + 2 thermal damage) (Reach 1.5 meters)
[[ARMOR:]]
Half-Cloak - A half-cloak that covers the majority of the subject’s back, their chest, and most of their left front, including their left arm, and a majority of their waist and left leg. It has the unique property of being able to be retracted back into the subject’s body when it is deemed a hindrance to their movement or abilities, and it is composed of extremely durable and cut-resistant material, along with having multiple reinforced areas that are able to withstand several bullet impacts (9mm). (If blocking, adds a -2 to damage taken when not retracted) (Retracting/Releasing requires no action) (Cannot retract/release during an action)
[[UTILITY:]]
None
[[CONSUMABLES:]]
None
[[HSD ITEMS:]]
[[WEAPONS:]]
Rifle - A particularly heavy and powerful rifle. M-34 is stamped onto its left side, along with a shattered gear logo. Notable features include a diagonal magazine attached from the left side, an integrated carry handle, a set of heavy-duty sockets, and a long and thin canister, attached to the barrel, covered by the barrel shroud, presumably a cooling system. (Deals 3d6 physical damage + 2 thermal damage) (Requires 1 action to steady rifle) (Holds 20 anti-material rounds) (Requires 1 action to reload)
Shotgun - A large, but slim shotgun. Features a left-side magazine, a skeleton stock, with two additional magazines stored, and an automatic trigger, along with a canted grip. (Fires 15 pellets, each pellet does 1 damage. Roll a d15 for pellets hit) (Requires 1 action to reload)
[[ARMOR:]]
Ballistic Armor - A very large suit of armor that is obviously intended to attach to the subject’s limbs. It features additional protection on most of the limbs, and increased head and neck armor, along with extra sensors and cameras. (+3 to CON) (-2 to DEX) (-.5 m/s walking speed)
[[UTILITY:]]
Seeker drones: A bandolier of grenade-sized drones. These expand once thrown to allow for the micro-thrust engine to function. They will then patrol an area, or if ordered, actively seek out enemies to mark for Ares to see. Alternatively, they can be used as cameras. They carry a minor explosive payload, capable of causing moderate damage once it is ejected. (Deals 3d5 explosive damage) (Marks detected enemies for Ares to see through walls) (Capable of flight) (Max range is 50 meters of continuous flight) [[CONSUMABLES:]]

2023.03.31 16:55 splotchy_boi the translation of the Yuri character file.

If you found this note in a small wooden box with a heart on it, then *congratulations!* You are probably the first person to read this. I didn’t really plan on sharing this with anybody, but for some reason I think it’s exciting that somebody out there, a complete stranger, will come across this note and read my story. Someone I will never meet, sharing such a personal bond with me. I’m fascinated that either one of us could die - even as soon as tomorrow - with the other being completely clueless to the fact. To you, my entire life is within this note, and so I will live for as long as your memory can carry me. Writing this, I’m wondering if that makes you feel fascinated or violated. It’s so exciting.

I’m sorry if my story is a bit disorganized, but I’d like to get it down while it’s still fresh on my mind. First, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a first-year college girl and have led, by most standards, a pretty unspectacular life up to this point. I grew up in an upper-middle class school district with decent teachers. I did track in middle school and some of high school, and I’ve had two boyfriends. Now, I’m studying for a career in occupational therapy, because I feel the field is undervalued and provides tremendous help to people.

I’m giving you this background because there’s this strange misconception that if you want to kill someone then you’re either sick in the head or you have anger management issues. But, it’s very apparent that I don’t fall into either of those categories. It’s true that most murder cases are in a domestic setting where someone loses control of their anger or something. But the thing is that those people kill under provocation, whether by a singular outburst or by a slow-burning series of misfortunes. Those people kill because in that brief moment, they want a specific someone, for a specific reason, to be hurt or killed.

What I’m talking about is wanting to kill someone for no specific reason, maybe just to see what it’s like. Do you ever get that? I wouldn’t know how others feel, because it’s not something I ever talked about. But I’ve been curious about what it’s like to kill someone ever since I was a child. Not killing anyone in particular, just a random person. It’s always just fascinated me that if I put my mind to it, I can approach anyone, and in five minutes they would be completely gone from this Earth.

But I’ve never done so for a couple of reasons. First of all, for most of my life it was logistically impossible for me to do it without getting caught. I only got my driver’s license a couple years ago, and even then, the preparations would take too much time, definitely stirring suspicion. It was only once I started college that I realized this was no longer an obstacle.

Another reason is that I was afraid of causing harm to too many people. You might laugh reading that, at how hypocritical it sounds. But, let me explain: Why should I feel bad about killing someone if they’re too dead to care? Who would I be feeling bad for? Contrarily, it’s the grief of the living that I’d rather not be responsible for. Because of this, I knew it would take a good deal of research before finding a suitable person to kill, and I’ve never had the means to do so - again, until I started college.

And now, having just experienced it, I’d say it was pretty satisfying in the end. Something I would try again? Probably not, since my curiosity has already been satisfied. It really wouldn’t be the same a second time.

But anyway, if by any chance you’re also curious to kill someone, then you’re welcome to take notes. :)

***

I started a hobby of people-watching soon after I entered college. People-watching is interesting to me because it’s taking one of the infinite extras in your life and turning them into a main character - without them knowing, of course. It’s so easy to forget that every single one of the hundreds of strangers you pass every day has a life story as deep and complex as your own. One thing I noticed about people-watching, and wanting to kill someone, is that you are in more constant awareness of this. When I find a person to observe, their story slowly becomes more clear to me over time, gaps being filled - it really is amazing.

I usually went to grocery stores on weekends and looked around in people’s shopping carts. If I saw something that interested me, I decided to observe the person for a little bit. Of course, since my goal was to find someone to kill, I ruled out anyone who had children or a partner with them. Wedding rings were another tell-tale sign.

So maybe once a weekend, I would find someone who fit my criteria, at which point I would follow them home and note their address. From there, it became incredibly easy to investigate a little bit more; most people have normal work hours, meaning I could spend afternoons going through their mail or looking around in their house. I repeated this with several people (and had one close call), but for varying reasons I didn’t really feel satisfied enough with them to kill any of them.

I started getting a bit impatient and thought that I might just settle for killing the man named Devon, even though I didn’t really want to kill someone wealthy. But then, I came across someone new - someone who just, felt perfect. The feeling only strengthened as I investigated her further, and I knew that she would be the one for me to kill.

A young-looking woman I met at the grocery store, as per usual. She was doing some light shopping with a basket. Her hair was wavy and dark brown, sitting inelegantly on her slumped shoulders and surrounding her tired-looking face. Her bare fingers told me she might be single, but beyond that, my gut was almost certain of it. This woman just seemed so…plain, really. I guess I felt a greater acuity for the personal lives of strangers ever since I started my people-watching. But the way she carried herself, I just got the feeling that if she suddenly died, nobody would be around to miss her. Of course, I still wanted to investigate her a bit.

I followed my usual routine of checking out her place during her work hours. I learned immediately from her mail that her name is Linda Watson. Linda lived in a quiet apartment complex, her mailbox easily accessible right outside her door. Instead of quickly shuffling through it, I decided I could take her mail back to my dorm and return it before she was finished with work (she only lived about 15 minutes from me). I did some research and learned how to open and reseal the envelopes without damaging them, which took some technique along with a hair dryer, rubbing alcohol, and Q-tips.

This made it easy for me to learn a little more about her. Linda was a 33-year-old woman who worked for a small accounting firm - I’d rather not name the place outright. Her birthday was December 11th which, coincidentally, was approaching in a couple weeks. I also managed to find a bank statement that gave me a nice look into how she’s been spending her past month. It was at this point I realized that my assessment of Linda Watson as an extremely plain woman was pretty spot-on, because there was absolutely nothing interesting on the list. A trip to Old Navy, a bunch of Starbucks, something about $40 from Amazon - no restaurants, no movies, nothing that would really imply she was spending any time socializing. That aside, I also found a cooking magazine, so I guess she was into cooking.

Apartments are harder to break into than suburban homes, because there are fewer doors and windows. Every time I got Linda’s mail, I would check the front door and the windows in the back, but they were always locked. This was a bit frustrating because I was really interested in getting into her house. So, I came up with a sort of plan that I thought would be fun, even if it didn’t work.

Last Saturday, I visited Linda Watson’s apartment complex as I would on weekdays. The difference is that this time, I wanted her to be home. I thought it would be interesting to have a conversation with her. If I got lucky, I could take advantage of the situation to discreetly unlock a window from the inside. So, I walked up to her door wearing nothing warmer than a light sweatshirt, and knocked. The adrenaline rush was crazy. I was afraid I might screw something up.

The door opened, and in front of me stood Linda Watson, exactly as I remembered her from the grocery store. It was at that moment, making eye contact for the first time, that I realized I was running the risk of beginning to care about this person. As selfish as it is, I couldn’t kill a person I cared about, even if it’s a 33-year-old woman standing in a doorway with a slightly perplexed look on her face, giving me a reserved “Hello.”

Arms crossed from the cold, I shyly returned Linda’s greeting. I explained that I was walking my dog near the woodsy area behind the back of her apartment, and that he had gotten away. I had been looking for my dog for an hour and was wondering if Linda may have seen him roaming about. Of course, Linda sympathetically apologized for the situation and that she couldn’t be of use to me, but that she would keep an eye out. I wore a defeated expression in response, apologizing in return for troubling her.

It somehow went exactly as I had hoped - Linda invited me inside to warm up a bit with some coffee. I outwardly hesitated before accepting her offer, although on the inside I wanted to jump through the door and hug her for cooperating so well. And that’s how Linda Watson ended up with a 19-year-old girl next to her on the couch - who knows if it was just a nice gesture or if she really has no better way to spend her Saturdays than talking to some kid she just met (who happens to be interested in killing her).

Linda soon learned that my name is Maria (it’s not) and that I attend the nearby community college (I don’t). I was a little bit nervous that she would ask me too many questions because I didn’t have many answers prepared. I was able to steer the conversation toward her, and she was pretty happy to talk. I asked what she does, and she told me that she works for the accounting firm I already knew about, communicating with outside clients and keeping records. I told her I was pretty nervous about growing up. She told me to enjoy college and to make lots of friends because there’s less opportunity once you start working.

When I asked if she was married or anything, she laughed. Of course I knew she wasn’t married, but I wanted to hear more about her love life. She said that she doesn’t currently have a boyfriend (I guess she’s at least had boyfriends, but who knows how long ago). When I asked her about kids, she said she doesn’t want them until she gets a better job. On top of that, she told me that her family has a history of some genetic diseases such as arthritis and depression, which she is afraid to give to her kids.

It’s funny that she mentioned that because when I asked to use her bathroom, I noticed a tube of prescription pills on the sink. It was labelled duloxetine, which I looked up later and discovered that it is in fact an antidepressant. I had a joking thought that maybe by killing her I’d be doing her a favor, but quickly decided I was a terrible person for coming up with that.

The rest of the visit was pretty dull. We talked about food and some other mundane stuff before I eventually made an excuse to leave. I didn’t get the chance to unlock a window or anything like that, but I didn’t really feel the need to go through her apartment anymore. As early as the drive back to my dorm, I was already thinking about how I would best like to kill Linda Watson.

The choice was between effectiveness and fun. I decided to go with fun, because it would be way more satisfying to kind of dissect her as I killed her, rather than just getting it done and calling it a day. Fast-forward one week to December 13th - today, actually. Linda Watson turned 34 two days ago. I made a fun little wager with myself where if Linda was spending her birthday weekend alone, I would pay her a visit and kill her. If she was out or had company, I would stop by next week or something instead.

So this morning, I drove over to Lowe’s and bought an axe. Again, I expect you’re laughing, but that’s also kind of the point. An axe is so kind of cliche and a “movies” thing that I actually thought it would be the most fun. Swinging it at someone and everything, it’s a really entertaining image. They actually had a bunch of different axes, so I picked one that had a good weight but was still light enough for me to swing quickly.

The drive after getting the axe was when the adrenaline really picked up. All that kept going through my mind on the way over was “Wow, I’m really doing this.” Not in a bad way, just like a surprised this is real life sort of thing. I also got this strange rush of recollections of the time I spent with Linda. It was like my life was flashing before my eyes, except it was just the rather mundane hour I spent with Linda - like snippets of our conversations, the sound of her laugh, her facial expressions and stuff.

I also wondered to myself what the crazy serial killers would be feeling at a time like this - schizophrenic delusions? Sexual buildup? I have no idea, but what I felt was kind of like ridiculously alert and numb in the senses at the same time, however that’s possible.

Before getting out of the car, I had the sense to stuff the axe into my backpack to look a little less ridiculous walking across the parking lot. The handle was sticking out, but that didn’t really matter. At that point my heart was pounding so hard I could feel my throat throbbing. I tried controlling my breath, but it’s really hard to not breathe fast when your heart is pounding like that.

I reached Linda Watson’s door and quietly put my ear to it after setting down my backpack. I heard a voice that wasn’t hers - company? No, it was just the TV, mixed with her occasional tapping footsteps behind the door. I actually kept my ear there for a really freaking long time, because I wanted to make absolutely sure nobody was over. Probably 10 minutes of that and a lot of reassuring myself convinced me.

I quietly opened my backpack zipper and held the axe in my hands. My fiercely shaking hands. What the hell was this kind of reaction that my body was making? I told my body to shut up, that it’s no big deal, but of course it wouldn’t listen. It was actually bizarre how much my hands were shaking. It must be the adrenaline buildup. I rolled my eyes at myself and got my hand to rest on the doorknob. If it’s locked, I’ll knock, it’ll be basically the same. I took a deep breath and forced my muscles into action.

I swiftly turned the doorknob. Not locked. In one movement, I opened up the door and slipped inside. Linda Watson, just a few steps away into the kitchen. I see - she was in the middle of cooking. She immediately jumped and turned around, startled. I expected that. Quickly, I let go of the doorknob and adjusted the axe into both hands. In the following split second, I realized that she would probably start to make a lot of noise. Looking back, I’m an idiot for not considering that. Just as Linda’s mouth opened to speak - maybe even started speaking - I forcefully swung my axe into the side of her head.

But, my axe was facing backwards. I hit her with the blunt end of the blade. I actually did this on purpose, because in that split second I somehow decided that it would be the way to keep her noise to a minimum. It actually worked. I felt barely any resistance in the swing as I collided with her head, knocking it clean aside. Linda’s half-formed syllable came out as a kind of weird grunt - a noisy exhalation is probably the best I could describe it. That happened at the same time as her head smacked into the cabinet from the force, and she fell backwards without any ability to keep her balance. I didn’t hesitate at all to keep swinging at her while she was half lying down on the ground, this time my axe facing the right way. I didn’t really know where to swing, so I kind of just started hacking at her collarbone area and chest. It didn’t feel like the axe was going too deep, but there was a nice “thunk” sort of sound every time the axe embedded into her. I even felt the soft sinking sensation ripple into my hands, like the axe was a kind of physical extension of my sense of touch.

On a whim, I swung once at her throat, but most of the swing actually missed and I hit the floor by accident, causing a loud, dull whack to resonate through the apartment. I didn’t have time to think about it. I swung again with better aim and got a more centered hit, feeling the bone or cartilage or whatever is in there, so I must have split it open. Right after that, I decided to swing at her face, and I got this diagonal cut along her nose and mouth, which felt pretty good so I did it once more.

I finally briefly stopped to survey the damage. Linda was bleeding ridiculously. The blood was kind of coming out in waves, in sync with her beating heart, probably. It was pooling all around her and riding along the cracks between the tiles. Her light blue shirt was all torn up and stained dark, kind of mixed with a fleshy mess around her chest. It was all just glistening red. Her face wasn’t much better, covered in dripping red at this point, and her lip was kind of hanging off, revealing red-stained teeth in a really weird way, like a zombie or something.

Linda wasn’t dead, though. Her limbs were kind of weakly, aimlessly trying to move while she was stuck on her back. More than anything, she reminded me of a bug that you crush but it still pitifully moves its legs around before it dies completely. That’s basically what she was doing. But I didn’t know how long it would take for her to die, or what kind of condition she was in. I ended up grabbing a big knife that was on the counter that she was using to cut up meat. Trying to step around the blood, I reached down and carved into the upper half of her neck, trying to sort of saw it from the left side to the right. It was a little awkward because the area was so soft and squished around the knife as I was cutting. But the sensation was completely different from the axe. It actually felt like I was cutting a tough piece of raw meat (which I guess technically, I was).

The blood started pouring out, and I hoped that I severed the most major arteries in there. It must have worked, because after a moment Linda’s limb movements kind of just had the strength drained from them, soon resting still on the floor. I took a few seconds to catch my breath. No time to stick around and think about the experience. I shook the knife blade through a dirty pan in the sink to clean off the blood, then threw the knife into my backpack. I did the same with the axe. I also took her laptop that was sitting on the counter. It had some recipe open for veal and mushrooms. I didn’t really take the laptop to use it, since I have a perfectly good one myself that I got for college. I just wanted to look through it for fun.

I finally went outside and closed the door behind me. I got some blood on my sweater and jeans. But funnily enough, I actually anticipated that so I wore dark colors.

The drive back to my dorm was just a constant replaying of the experience in my head. I guess that’s still kind of happening even now, actually. But it felt pretty nice. Linda Watson is dead. I kind of let the weight of that sink in. The sensation of having completely removed a human life from existence. It’s crazy. I don’t know how else to describe it.

Anyway, I threw the axe and knife into a dumpster on campus, which I think is picked up every Monday, so they’ll be gone by then. My roommate goes home on the weekends, so I have the dorm to myself today. It gave me the chance to go through Linda’s website history. I was right in thinking that’s where her deepest secrets would lie.

There was actually a lot of dirty stuff, like the names of websites for porn videos and stories and things like that. Same with her searches. A lot of the websites were boring, like cooking websites and recipes, and game websites like Bejeweled and stuff. I eventually got to the “one week ago” section of her history, and it gave me a chill.

There were a whole bunch of searches like “methods of suicide”, “how to tie a noose”, “dangerous household chemicals”, “carbon monoxide poisoning” - like a lot of them. She was probably ready to write a book on suicide after all the research she did. So I guess Linda was contemplating suicide. I wonder if it was influenced by her depression.

The irony is actually striking. Maybe Linda was going to die anyway. Or maybe she couldn’t find the courage to do it. If that were the case, I almost literally gave her a birthday present by killing her. That’s actually really comical in a messed-up way, and it leaves a weird taste in my mouth. The part I don’t get is that I didn’t see any of those searches up until the “one week ago” section, nothing more recent than that.

I ended up throwing the laptop in the dumpster with the other stuff. It’s been a few hours since then, so I’ve had some time to calmly think about everything. Like I said, it was pretty satisfying and I’m glad I finally got around to it. I feel like I can finally cross it off my bucket list, or like I’m tying loose ends with myself. This is probably the first and last time I’ll write the name Linda Watson - it’s back to living a normal college life, except I might do some people-watching every now and then because it’s definitely fun and interesting.

But I’ll always wonder how many people there are like me. I’m sure there has to be a lot, because there is just nothing strange about it to me, being curious about killing someone. Sadly, it’s something that people can’t exactly just talk about, so I guess I’ll never know. I’m sure that anyone would just lie about it even if you asked them. But you can’t help but wonder if that person in the grocery store, who stares at you as you pass by, might be considering what it would be like to kill you. If I could, I would tell them all about it, so they could decide for themselves. But who knows, maybe I got lucky, and that person is you. I actually really, really hope so.

looking into graduate housing for duke this upcoming year, and I heard of lancaster commons. it looks really nice and seems like a nice option—does anyone know how the area is? are there grocery stores, food, etc nearby in easy access (i will have a car)? and also how is the area in terms of safety? it’s near the west campus (i’m not fully sure what part of the campus that is yet)

Start Here (Prologue) Previous Next
As we resumed the walk back to Jamestown, I tried to explain to the Baby Baurusuchus what a name was. For a creature without proper language it was difficult to understand. In the end, I explained that humans have a weird affection for things with names. If he had a name, and they knew it, they would be friendlier. They would be more inclined to recognize him as a unique and precious living being rather than just a monster.
The creature thought that was a silly way to see the world. But even with its simplistic animal understanding of the custom, it recognized the value in exploiting that behavior for its own survival. I tried not to think about if that meant the lizard was smarter than me, the way that its stats indicated.
“Unfortunately,” I said, “the internet doesn’t exist anymore. I can’t just go to a fantasy name generator site and hit the button until something catches my eye.” I shook my head. “I’ve always been bad at naming things myself. When I was a kid I named my cat Tidepool because I wanted to be a marine biologist.”
The critter didn’t want to be called Tidepool.
I struggled for a moment to explain that I knew it was a shit name now, even though my skills in that arena hadn’t progressed.
“Alright, let’s break this down easy,” I said, rubbing my temple. “Are you a boy or a girl? Or neither?”
My Survival skill informed me that if I flipped the lizard over on its belly, there would likely be a flap of skin that could inform me of the creature’s biology. But the creature and I were friends. You don’t just wrestle a friend onto their back to examine their genitals. At least, not without permission.
It took a minute of discussion to understand that the creature was not an ‘it,’ but was in fact a ‘he’. He didn’t understand why that limited the list of appropriate names, and when I tried to explain that it really didn’t, but it did at the same time, he became progressively more confused and agitated.
“Alright, forget that,” I said at last. “Let’s just say that it helps. How about letters? Do you have a letter that you like?”
What is letter? the reptile asked.
I opened my mouth to try to define the word, but stopped before I could even begin. I felt my eyes bug out as I tried to resolve in my mind how to explain what a letter was to a creature without a language. It wasn’t actually speaking to me, after all. Just conveying meanings that my Wild Empathy was translating into words.
“You know what?” I said at last. “Nevermind. Forget about letters. Let me think for a minute.”
I spent a lot of time on my own out in the woods thinking about things. It felt different this time with someone here watching me struggle to make my own brain work. I was a bit embarrassed about how long it took me to reach the conclusion I needed to hit.
The real question was why the system would let me name him. It had thus far proven to be pretty uncaring about a lot of things. The system was not flexible with people’s HP bars when they were near death. It was not merciful about failed skill checks when lives were on the line. And it would not let you play fast and loose with cooldowns and durations for ‘rule of cool.’
So there had to be a reason why it would give me the option to name him. It wasn’t for aesthetics or fun. There was a purpose.
“It’s an identifier,” I said at last. “A way that I can pick you out of my eventual stable of pets quickly and efficiently when I need to.” I tapped my chin. “Ah, I get it!” I turned back to the critter, trying to explain. “It’s so that I can have more than one Baby Baurusuchus pet, and keep straight which one is which for the purposes of determining which one is going to be evolved down which path. If I want to take you down the physical or the magical path—or down the respective branches beyond—and the two of you are at the same stage, the system wants me to be able to tell you apart.”
Not important, the reptile conveyed to me. Is only one of me here. Where Mandrills stole me from is very far from here.
“Right, but… Okay. Let me ask you this, then.” I tried to gesture at the system menu where it told me about his growth tree. Obviously, he couldn’t see it, so I had to explain verbally. “What do you want to be when you grow up? You have two paths before you. One direction is physical, where you will grow up physically strong, with the ability to throw enemies around and push them away. The other is magical, where you will develop mystical powers, including the ability to call down rocks from space to blast your foes.”
The critter had to think about that for a surprisingly long time. From what he said when he agreed to become my companion, I thought he would immediately latch on to the idea of being physically strong. If the Mandrills tried to capture him again, he would want the ability to kick them away so that he could make his escape. But apparently his objective was more nebulous than that.
Which is scarier? he asked at last.
Now I had to think about it for a moment. On the one hand, the idea of it becoming a giant muscle-bound predator was pretty terrifying. Especially if it grew so large that its current size was proportionately a baby.
But at the same time, something that was only physically powerful could be evaded or outsmarted.
Honestly, a lizard that size was scary enough even if it wasn’t a muscle-bound titan. If it was some kind of bestial wizard, though? And if it had a little man sitting on its shoulder who could tell it the exact location of every living thing within a half-mile, there was no way for a force of men, Mandrills, or beasts that could approach safely.
That wasn’t just a monster.
That was, potentially, a demigod.
Exactly what the critter wanted to become.
“Probably the magical path,” I said at last. “I don’t know what abilities you’ll gain that way, but physical power has limits. If you grow big and strong, enemies can guess at what you can do. With magical power, anything is possible.” I nodded along with my own logic. “They’ll be more scared of you if they don’t know what you’re capable of. Their imaginations will concoct crazy stories and attribute things to you that you never did. You’ll be way scarier that way.”
That satisfied the reptile more than even the smoked fish had.
“So you need a magical name,” I said firmly. “Something that separates you from anything that might join us in the future and go down a physical path. A wizard name.”
What is wizard? he asked. Is name?
“No, it’s a profession,” I said, though I tapped my chin for a moment. “No, ‘class’ is probably the word for it in the system. So let me think…”
I tried not to just blurt out random wizard names.
I failed.
“Gandalf? Merlin? Harry? David? Other David? Chris-with-two-Ss-and-no-H?” I tried to stop myself, but the floodgates were open now. “Tim? Salem? Kamek? Obi-wan? Yoda? Penn? Teller? Penn and Teller? Just stop me if you hear one you like.”
What was… he replied, and then paused. What was fifth one?
“Uh,” I repeated myself in my mind, counting them out. “Other David?”
Bad at numbers, he said. There was good one. Eight maybe?
“Kamek?” I said.
Near that, but not that.
“Salem? Yoda? Obi-wan? Chris but spelled funny?”
Not same, the critter’s tail flicked in irritation.
“Chris with two S’s and no H?” I asked.
Last part, it said. Is sound good. Like sound momma make.
“No H? I said again. “Noaych?” I repeated, forcing the sounds together into one word. “No-aich,” I said more firmly, putting the brief hesitance into it and moving the stress to the last syllable.
Yes. Is nice.
“I don’t know if that’s actually a name,” I said, but I mentally instructed the system to record the name. “But you’re the one who has to live with it.”
Jamestown was just ahead, through the trees. Even now, my expanded senses were starting to pick out the guards patrolling the inside of the bramble walls on this side.
“Alright,” I said at last, suddenly realizing that I didn’t really have a plan to get my new friend Noaich through the guards. “So this might get a little awkward.”

2023.03.31 16:37 ZoruaNewmoon It's my birthday!!! Question:

I got a 50 dollar visa from my grandma! What little stuff should I treat myself to? The stuff has to not be too huge since I live in a dorm and need to hide it (otherwise I would totally get the big calico critters house 😭). I like pokemon, calico critters, my little pony, studio ghibli, and littlest pet shop. I also love plushies and Claire's. I have a paci, bottle, and cute littlespace outfit already. Preferably in person stores as my packages can be spotted by parents who don't know about my littlespace. Michigan USA. Thanks everyone!!!

2023.03.31 16:33 Pianista_classico First week thoughts

I thought it would be nice if I wrote something for those who are/will be entering the army and are worried, concerned and scared just like I was last saturday to calm those who had the same concerns I had (btw, I'm at zikim camp starting the search and rescue combat soldier training).
First of all, the בקו"ם, I was really worried about the vaccines and DNA tests because i have a serious fear of needles and vaccines in general and I always get worried the day before so for those who are just like me, DONT WORRY! its really nothing at all, each vaccine takes 1,5 seconds to be applied and dont hurt at all, the contrary to what I read on the Internet before getting those, they only hurt a little a few hour after you take them and the staff are always super kind and understanding (they know how to do it, they are always doing hundreds of those every day). And the DNA test takes like a second I dont even have to say anything dude you don't feel anything.
About the training itself, its hard I'm not gonna lie, being away from family and friends and having to do all by yourself is really hard, but, as Dostoyevsky said "Man is a creature that can get used to anything, and I think that is the best definition of him". That said, the things that make it worth it to be there and wake up every morning and do the מסדר בוקר are the people, the people are there with you and they will help you, just like you will help them if they need, and thats exactly what your commanders want, they know it works like that, they want to form a team that will help each other like brothers during the combat.
Food is fine, for breakfast and dinner you'll have חלבי and for lunch בשרי, they always have yogurt, cheese, bread, rarely croissants, salads, tuna, all the things you can make out of milk basicaly (at least at my base), and of course always water, always. You can buy Coke and Juice or whatever if you have a vending machine nearby but not all the time, only when your commanders allow you, I dont smoke so I dont have anything to say about that.
שקם (the little store you have at your base), I was impressed by how many things you can buy, from גלחץ to toilet paper and chips, and the prices are really low from what I understood, it really helps.
I wont add anything cause I've been in the idf for only a week (sure feels like a month) and I cant speak about things I haven't experienced yet. But remember, don't be nervous, calm yourself, be strong and brave and you'll succeed and make it to friday.

2023.03.31 15:55 Sedwards3795 Candy Cadet kitten story and Midnight Motorist dirt pile solved? + SL timeline placement clue?

Candy Cadet kitten story and Midnight Motorist dirt pile solved? + SL timeline placement clue?
Recently in his reaction to the u/idsfantasy video MatPat talks about the candy Cadet stories and it made me realise something about the kitten story that I am pretty certain explains what it is symbolising. This could have some big lore drops.
This is a HUGE block of text, I apologise for the length but there is a lot to talk about! It is FNaF after all :D
To start, three important notes.
FIRST: The kitten story isn’t about 5 kittens being merged, that seems to be a common mistake people make. Only 1 kitten dies and is rebuilt. However, symbolism of 5 becoming one is present but its very cryptic so hold on tight!
SECOND: The stories clearly seem to be all very different with different characters. They are all connected by the number 5 but this doesn’t indicate that the characters match each other 1 to 1 between each CC story at all.
THIRD: To clear potential confusion, in this block of text:
  • CC = Candy Cadet
  • Any mention of 'the story' means the CC stories and NOT the overall FNaF story.
Here is the transcript for the kitten story: “Now I will tell you a story about a little boy. He had a red snake that he kept in a metal cage whose hunger could not be satisfied. One day, the boy found five baby kittens outside his house. He brought them inside and kept them in a shoebox. He knew that the snake might kill them, but could not bring himself to get rid of the snake. He knew that if he chose one kitten to feed to the snake, it might be satisfied, but he could not choose. So, he went to bed, leaving the cage open. The snake went to the shoebox, chose a kitten at random, and ate it. After five nights had gone by, the boy was full of regrets, and cut the snake open. He pieced the remains together and put the kitten back into the shoebox”
I'm no FNaF lore expert so please correct me if I’m wrong about something, but it feels pretty obvious that *this story in particular* is mainly talking about Elizabeth, Baby and William. Of course its about Elizabeth's tragic death, William's guilt and further confirmation on how it all happened and some more info about Elizabeth which reveals where she is now! Plus Midnight Motorist and a SL timeline placement clue?
NOTE: I do think some of the weird intricacies of these stories may not be intended to be scrutinised and are a byproduct of it being a story told in a cryptic way - otherwise what would separate them from just being the same story as what its symbolising but with things just swapped out 1 for 1? The cryptic nature also means just about anything you say could sound odd or out there so just bare that in mind.
The little boy is symbolic of William.
The snake is symbolic of Baby.
The kittens are symbolic of various random kids treated equally to be the potential of Elizabeth. (I explain more about it later under the header 'chose a kitten at random')
I will go through bullet points talking about different quotes from the transcript in order of when it appears in said transcript, how it relates / what it symbolises and any extra info/explanation/my ideas. I will not cherry pick and will go through everything, even things that don't make as much sense with this theory or I can't explain.
Next to each quote there is a number 1-3 out of 3 that shows my level of confidence talking about the quote in reference with the Baby/William/Elizabeth theory.
> 'Red Snake' 3/3
The thing responsible for killing the kitten is a 'snake' specifically pointed out to be 'red'. Baby is primarily red and snakes are creatures known for capturing and storing things in their stomachs.
This may seem silly at first but I promise you this is not a random colouanimal combination in such a lore based and meticulously crafted message! NO other character in this franchise is primarily red! That is so specific. And what other set of characters capture things in their stomach? Only the Funtimes. Even then, Baby is the only Funtime we see actual do some stomach-capturing on screen. It may still feel like a stretch now but come back to this point at the end and I promise it will feel more realistic.
> 'Metal Cage' 1/3
This feels like it is is loosely referring to the SL bunker where I assume baby usually is kept while not needed or a metaphor for Williams control over baby if you reeeeeeaaaaaalllllly squint.
Of course I'm kidding it's a 99% chance it's just something for the snake to be trapped in for the story because its a wild animal :P
> 'Hunger could not be satisfied' 2/3
The unsatisfied 'hunger' could be William's 'hunger' for remnant and using baby for his quest to capture kids as he wants to obtain as much remnant as possible.
What's far more likely though is it is referring to Baby's programmed behavior to always seek out children to snatch (as right now we are talking about unpossessed baby). I say this because the story talks about the actual snake, baby, being the one that is never satisfied, but of course that leads back to the remnant collection and Williams collection of it anyway.
> 'One day, the boy found five baby kittens outside his house. He brought them inside and kept them in a shoebox' 1/3
'Outside his house' could be loosely referring to where the minigame takes place?
The 5 is obviously important and feels like it relates to the 5 dead kids at first glance but that would feel odd considering the rest of the story and that feels more related to another one of CC's stories.
I am very sure the 'taking inside' is just a narrative transition so the story isn't happening outside.
The shoebox I'll get onto in the final header!
> 'He knew that the snake might kill them' 2/3
We know that William was fully aware that baby would be a threat to Elizabeth as a side product of being programmed to capture kids.
'Them' instead of language that specifically points to Elizabeth is most certianly due to the cryptic nature of the story and because of what I said earlier about Elizabeth being the potential of any of the kittens at this point in time of the CC story. We haven't got to the point yet where an individual kitten is assigned the role of Elizabeth, so 'them' is actually indeed referring to all of them.
I know this is confusing at first but more is explained in the header 'chose a kitten at random'.
> 'but could not bring himself to get rid of the snake' 2/3
Fairly obvious, William wouldn't want to sacrifice his chance at collecting remnant because of the potential threat of his daughters death... that's why he tells her not to go near baby so that he doesn't have to scrap the idea altogether.
(You'd think he could just program it to detect when the child is Elizabeth and not capture her? Lmao. Ahhh, video game logic, everyone.)
> 'He knew that if he chose one kitten to feed to the snake, it might be satisfied, but he could not choose' 1/3
'He could not choose' is either because:
A. He would find it hard to choose a kid to die in this particular situation.
This would mean William not wanting to be involved with the kids deaths directly (leaving it up purely to baby) but this feels unlikely, unless William doesn't consider remnant collection enough motivation to actually help directly murder the kid with his own hands (unlike his revenge murder because of his emotions towards Henry) or it feels less guilty this way... both of these are practically 0% chance knowing William. I mean he literally build the murderous robot in the first place!
B. He is so despicable that the thought of any of the kids dying for his own gain is too hard to just pick one - they all look so killable!
I think this may be a little too far. This is like next-level evil. Not saying its impossible, though.
C. He simply just doesn't know which kid would be best to pick.
To me this feels the most correct. Some examples as to why this might be:
  • Doesn't know which would be the best for the remnant collection
  • Doesn't know the background of the kids. Eg. a kid with no family would go under the radar easier if they went missing
  • There might just be no more to it than that. If you are at a restaurant and you can't pick a food item from a menu does that mean you must either HATE or LOVE every option? Or that there is some elaborate reason? No. Sometimes you just can't choose and its no deeper than that, although this is unlike FNaF, of course, but somewhat sounds reasonable
> 'leaving the cage open' 2/3
I'm almost certain this is just symbolism for baby being allowed to roam outside, just like how the boy lets the snake roam freely to go kill a kitten. This is so that he didn't have to choose a kid or go round collecting the kids himself as discussed above.
> 'chose a kitten at random' 3/3
Here it is, the oh so famous 'chose a kitten at random' section.
It is made quite clear that:
  • William regrets Elizabeth's death
  • It was a mistake, baby killing Elizabeth was unintentional
  • Baby only kills kids that are alone
So why was Elizabeth the one to die? Well, she was the kid who was alone, we see baby walk past many kids who are in groups to eventually find a lone kid, whoever it is. Obviously this was by pure chance. Any kid could have been alone at any time and anywhere and it was purely unfortunate coincidence that Elizabeth was that person.
Obviously the CC story for this has to be the most cryptic and odd because it is the one bit where Elizabeth is actively involved in the story. It is pretty clear, however, that the snake choosing a kitten at 'random' is a parallel to her death.
The kittens were once all potentially Elizabeth (aka any kid could potentially be snatched by baby if given the circumstances) but *now\* the 'random' kitten that was chosen and eaten is clearly the stand-in for Elizabeth. That kitten, just like Elizabeth, is now dead, inside the stomach.
The kittens were all stored together in the same box which would make directly ripping off the in-game reasoning (Elizabeth being alone) not work (and EXTREMELY obvious) so Scott making it so that the snake choose a kitten at random is a very clever way to represent this.
My thoughts are that at this point the other 4 kittens are meaningless, they were only there as stand-ins for random other potential kids that could have been snatched. You can imagine them gone. That is why the other kids in the baby minigame are all identical and undistinguishable, they have no real meaning or identity as Elizabeth is the focus of the minigame. And just like the other 4 kittens in the shoebox they are to be treated as not real or important anymore for the purposes of the CC story and minigame.
After the events of the kittens death, all 5 of the kittens in the shoebox are now only symbolic of one Elizabeth kitten.
5 become 1.
> 'ate it' 100/3
If this isn't a direct nod to baby 'consuming' Elizabeth and her entering baby's stomach (which is where food primarily goes after being eaten, duh) I will be gobsmacked!
Especially when considering the RED baby-coloured creature who did said eating which is literally known for capturing whole creatures in its stomach.
I mean... come on! There is just no way on Earth that it isn't a reference to Elizabeth and baby. Which other characters literally 'swallow' another? This is pretty undeniable!
> 'After five nights had gone by' 0/3
Not the foggiest idea. I need your guys help with this one :P
Hopefully this isn't my lack of knowledge shining through.
> 'the boy was full of regrets' 3/3
The boy regretting HIS snake killing the kitten is a direct parallel to William regretting HIS machine causing Elizabeth's death, both due to allowing the thing in question to be free to roam as well might I add. Easy. Another very convincing one!
> 'cut the snake open' and 'He pieced the remains together and put the kitten back into the shoebox' 3/3
I hope you are convinced by now that the three characters are who I think they are because if so things could get veeeerrry interesting!
If this theory is true, which it seems almost certain, this Candy Cadet story heavily implies that William at some point recovered Elizabeth's *BODY* (not soul of course) from baby. We KNOW that bodies and souls can be split. The boy literally opens up the baby stand-in to access the remains of the Elizabeth stand-in from the stomach, it doesn't get much more cut and dry than that!
The word 'remains' is a very specific word choice here as it often used for human corpses (not uncommon to hear 'human remains'). When talking about something like a literal baby cat, such language seems off - 'kitten remains'? Yeah.. I don't know about that one. I think its more hinting at the Elizabeth's remains.
So what does this all mean and why does it matter? How does Midnight Motorist (a mini game in the same FNaF game as Candy Cadet mind you) come into this? The image of a shoebox is just too specific to be a random choice... why not just a plain cardboard box? Well my friends answer me this: what is a typical option to bury the remains of small pets (example: a kitten, hamster etc)? Yep: a shoebox.
That's why the boy put the 5 kittens (that all together represent one Elizabeth kitten in the end) in a shoebox, it is clever foreshadowing for the future of the Elizabeth kitten's demise and symbolism that Elizabeth is already in the place that she will die and this is the story setting up the kitten inventively ending up in a coffin, so to speak, to be buried.
But hang on... wouldn't that imply Elizabeth is buried somewhere to? Well... YES! There is only one mysterious pile of dirt that suggests someone has been buried that I know of...
I firmly believe that the Candy Cadet kitten story is telling us that the Midnight Motorist dirt pile is, in fact, Elizabeth's dead body, buried.
This is why William would have no problem giving baby controlled shocks in SL because although Elizabeth possesses baby still, she is no longer actually physically inside of her. William clearly loves Elizabeth and we know he feels guilty, so why would he do such a thing?
It is also why everyone looks so upset in MM, and why William Afton would try to go to the bar... their daughtefamily member has just died.
This would also place Sister Location timeline wise DURING the events of Midnight Motorist as Elizabeth would have to be buried rather quickly after being killed by baby... in fact the story actually tells us that it was after 5 days he felt guilty so perhaps she was buried exactly 5 days after her death? The dirt pile does look quite roughly done, there is no grave and the metaphor of a shoebox shows that it was quite 'make-shift' so a quick burial makes sense.
Not sure what the significance of the five nights would be, however... my guess could be that its referring to the 5 SL nights? Baby is possessed during SL so perhaps the CC story is saying the minigame happens right before night 1, this would explain why baby is missing from night 1. Although it debunks the idea about the controlled shocks, but I'm sure that would add to the guilt, I guess.
The Dirt Pile Is Elizabeth's Dead Body
Theory Over!
I'm far from the first person to suggest the theory that the dirt pile is Elizbeth, or that the Candy Cadet story may involve Elizabeth, Baby and William in some way, but it has always felt like speculation. However, these findings seems to set in stone and actually confirm/solve some of these loose threads and tie them together in a nice, coherent, satisfying way.
While little bits here and there may be off about the explanation I am very confident that the Elizabeth dirt pile theory is correct. This is my first written theory (and first proper use of my account lol) so I'm quite happy.
The most exciting thing for me, though, is that if this is what the kitten story means, what are the other two trying to tell us? I'm 100% sure the pieces are in place, just like for this one, we just gotta put them together correctly and I'm exciting what we might find!
Please let me know what you think about all this, what I may have got wrong or any extra bits I missed :D

I love this story and so does everyone else I tell it to, so here I am.
I used to work at a pet store, and right next to that pet store in the same shopping center was an Office Depot. On the way back home at a red light one day, I saw a gold car with a bumper sticker on it that had BMX on it and nothing more. I was curious what this meant, so I committed those letters to memory and went home and looked them up. This dude is into biking, cool, curiosity itch scratched. End of, right?
Well I saw that same gold car in the Office Depot parking lot the next day when I went to work. Neat! You don't usually see and recognize the same car twice, so of course it stood out to me when I saw it. Well I kept repeatedly seeing it in that parking lot, and I figured out that whoever owns this car must work at the Office Depot.
I lived about 45 minutes away from my workplace at the time. Between my work and my home was a long stretch of highway, leading out of town, through a completely different town, and finally to the town I lived in. Well, on the way back from work one day, half an hour from where me or him work, on the side of the highway, I saw a gold bumper with a BMX sticker on it...
"Don't turn around. Don't turn around. Don't turn around." I turned around.
I hoisted this dude's goddamn bumper into my white windowless van, slammed the doors, and took it home. I was 99% certain it was HIS bumper, because it had the same sticker and was the same color, but I was like "If this guy's missing his bumper next time I see him I'm gonna flip." Obviously, it was his bumper.
I held onto it for about two weeks, maybe a little more. I remember the timeframe because I was quitting that job and starting a new one, and I had put in my two weeks around this time. And on one of my final days working at this job, me and him were both working the closing shift. It was about 9 PM.
I parked my van next to his car, inconspicuously lugged this big fucking bumper out of my van in the cover of darkness, dropped it behind his car, and hauled off. I got scared so I chickened out and left, but I got brave a few minutes later and turned around and parked on the opposite side of the street to see if I could watch him find it. (I keep saying "him" but I don't even know their gender.)
I got to see this silhouette of a person in the distance dragging their bumper back inside to Office Depot, but I didn't get to see them initially find it. I know they know it was their bumper because it had their BMX sticker on it. I know there's no cameras pointing into the parking lot because I worked there.
This dude drove around for twoish weeks without a bumper and it randomly reappeared behind their car in the dead of night. Not just a bumper of the same make and model and color, but their bumper. That they lost half an hour from here. I took a shaky, blurry photo as I sped away from the scene of the crime.
Every day that I remember I'm living rent free in this person's head brings me joy. I have never been so delighted at lightly traumatizing a stranger. They're probably going to be wondering about that until the day they die. I probably made them buy a gun. I like to think they were looking over their shoulder for months after.
