2023.03.31 07:28 I_got_too_silly Should a "footsoldier" combat robot come equipped with built-in weapons, or should it use external weapons in a similar fashion to how a human would wield a gun?
On one hand, built-in weapons are going to be more accurate since they're affixed directly to the robot's frame. This stable mount also allows heavier weapons on a robot. This arrangement really seems like a no-brainer.
However, I've thought about it, and I've realized that it does have a few disadvantages, all of which basically boil down to the robot essentially being tied to the gun. You can't swap, service, or maintain the gun without first partially disassembling the robot.
Meanwhile, a robot that uses its hands to wield a weapon physically separate from itself (think the B1 battle droid from Star Wars) can swap it for any other weapon any time in the field, making it a multi-role platform. It can also use its hands to maintain and service its own weapon in the field all. It can clean it, reload it, unjam it, etc.
Of course, such an arrangement does have its disadvantages also. It's less accurate, less efficient, and limits the size of weapons in a robot.
Considering, then, a near-future battlefield, which of these two weapon arrangements would be preferable for footsoldier drones built for urban warfare and land warfare?

2023.03.31 07:26 Kristycat Has anyone here changed their last name? I am thinking about it, to fully separate myself from my family.
I’ve always been excited to be married to change my name but I’m not getting married anytime soon and frankly idk if I want to change my name for a guy. Anyway, I am in the process of going NC and I am very seriously considering changing my last name to just be completely done with my family. I’d love to get some insight from others on this. ❤️

2023.03.31 07:26 williamshake6633 How do you make the best use of the Education Industry Email List?
| We all recognize the value of developing strong bonds with prospective clients, customers, and subscribers. After all, unsubscribes and spam reports are potential outcomes if your subscribers don't feel appreciated and engaged. Here are seven ideas to get you started with your education industry email list to cultivate meaningful connections with your readers: https://preview.redd.it/q1j392pqf0ra1.png?width=940&format=png&auto=webp&s=63044b95d7dc0808af6a1c53046255c27cbb382e 1. Provide valuable content The key to using email lists and increasing revenue is ensuring that you provide valuable content to the list. You can focus on delivering relevant and engaging content your subscribers want to read. Your emails should also offer value-added content, such as discounts and sales. 2. Keep the education industry mailing list subscribers engaged Once you have built a list of subscribers, it is essential to keep them engaged. You should send regular emails with exciting content, such as new products or services, discounts or sales, or informational articles. You can also provide incentives for readers to stay on your email lists, such as coupons or special offers. 3. Provide specific offers or promotions Another way to use the education email lists to increase revenue is to target the list with specific offers or promotions. It could mean offering special discounts to customers who have purchased something from you earlier. You can also use email marketing to encourage customers to buy more products or services. 4. Include affiliate offers Affiliate offers are offers from other businesses that do not compete with your brand. They provide solutions that complement your product and provide value to your subscribers. You can include the affiliate product in your blog and send emails that link to your post. Ensure to partner with businesses that are relevant to the subscribers. 5. Build relationships with potential customers Finally, you can use educational mailing lists to build relationships with prospective customers. It means you should send out emails to customers with updates on new products or services or tell them that you appreciate their loyalty. It is a great way to keep customers coming back again and again. 6. Sell less and connect more Nobody likes to receive sales offers every day. Subscribers will get tired of your emails if you are constantly promoting your products. You can provide recommendations that they will likely appreciate. 80/20 is a good ratio that you can follow. 80% of your emails must be excellent content, including helpful resources and suggestions. The remaining 20% can be product offers. 7. Track your email metric performance Using tools such as Google Analytics to analyze email performance will help you understand how successful your email campaigns are. Monitor your campaigns over time to check if the engagement quality is improving. If your click-through rate increases, it means the subscribers are finding your content helpful. Conclusion The education marketing lists are a great way to build customer relationships and generate more sales. You can increase your revenue through email lists by providing valuable content, targeting specific offers, including affiliate marketing, and building customer relationships. submitted by williamshake6633 to u/williamshake6633 [link] [comments] |

Heyyyy!
So I lied.. I'm not new to reddit. I have had reddit before, I just have a new account! Why do I have a new account? Well to get rid of all my sins. Just kidding. New phone, who dis basically!
About me that you might find an attractive quality in a friend! - I'm in the land down under. - I'm currently having a little hiatus from work so you can entertain me! - I'm 24 and feel freaking old and young at the same time. - I like to read and chat to online strangers - and I like to listen to music.
Because its my little hiatus, I'm prone to send little dodgy links (vocaroo if you are familiar) and babble on about my life and what we talk about.
I'm an open book basically and just looking for some mild entertainment (keeping it super clean and SFW).
Hope to chat soon! Byeeeee fwend!!

2023.03.31 07:24 applepineapple1 Home advice?
My stepfather has mentioned that when he passes. He’d like to put my name on my childhood home to give me. My mom and stepfather are no longer in a relationship. But they live together as roommates. My moms mentioned to me before in confidence. that she’s still lingering around to get something out x years invested with my stepfather. She’s also looking to bring my older brother, wife, four kids along. I know that my mom and older brother have talked about having the house. fairly certain my older brother is interested in the house as well. I’ve also overheard some of the conversations between my aunts and uncles on my stepfathers side. Convincing him to put the house in their name. My aunt inherited hers, my uncles, and my stepfathers childhood home. From my grandma. While my uncle and his wife inherited my grandma’s childhood home. From my grandma and great grandma. I’m not sure what to do in this situation? Should the house just go for up sale? Maybe I’d like to keep the house? But not if my mom and older brother are going to be around. I can kind of already see it. Them fighting over who gets the master bedroom. If my older brother is involved. There’s no doubt that when he’s brings his wife. That’ll she’d probably bring some of her “abnormal” relatives from the city. (21f rural Midwest).

- Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
- Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with *what will sell.*You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity. - Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
- Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
- Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. **That they are congruent with and trust.**It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is: - Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
- Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
- Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
- Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
- Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge ( that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level ( no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works. - Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
- Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
- Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
- Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way). - Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
- Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
- Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan.***And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days.***That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work. submitted by AutoModerator to Affordable_Courses [link] [comments] |
2023.03.31 07:19 Diclofenac_ [Q] why would anyone use e.g. skinport over e.g. cs.deals?
I got back to my steam account after 6 years or so and now have around 200 csgo cases worth more than 500 € (SCM price).
I want to cash that out for real €.
Skinport seems to be the most popular place. But they have fees of 12%!
I stumbled upon cs.deals with fees of 2% for sale and 1% for cashout with SEPA, so 1/4 of the fees of skinport.
Why would anyone (willing to wait a couple days longer, which doesnt seem that bad if you can safe real €) want to sell their stuff for 9% less?
Oj, btw: do you think it wise to hold on to a couple cases and see how the price evolves in the next x years?

2023.03.31 07:19 jessewho Worth trying negotiate or just accept good price? (First time car buyer)
I found a used 2017 Toyota Prius from an AutoNation via TrueCar that I’m looking to buy. The car is listed below what market value seems to be especially for its mileage. I found the sale/maintenance history of the vehicle and it was previously sold for 1k less than it’s currently listed and that it previously had minor damage that was repaired (cosmetic only, not structural). I assume that the discrepancy between that price and this price is attributable to the repair. I’m going to look at the car in a couple days and was readying myself for the negotiation when I learned that AutoNation has a “no haggle” policy so my question is:
Having learned what I have from my research do I try to negotiate down just a little bit or accept the already good price and just examine it very closely?
(I should also note that the car has had 3 owners and has been on the market for almost 90 days. I also saw the price get knocked down 1k in the week since I found the listing and contacted the dealer.)

2023.03.31 07:19 doghdjjwu [Canada] Alienware vs C2
Unfortunately, in Canada, the C2s haven’t come down in price yet like elsewhere around the world. I just ordered the AW3423DWF which I managed to snag for ~$1000 cad given the sales on Dell + a surprise 10% cash back on rakuten. The C2 is going for $1500 and I can’t see it going past $1300 realistically + I’d want the Best Buy protection which is $300 for 5 years. What would you do in my situation? Is the C2 worth $600 more?

2023.03.31 07:19 Unfair_Turnover_5876 In a distant kingdom
Chat gpt do this: Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, there was a land ruled by a king and queen. The king was known to be a kind and generous ruler, loved by all his subjects. The queen, on the other hand, was timid and reserved, always trying to keep the peace and avoid any conflicts.
However, as in all kingdoms, there were people who craved power and coveted the throne. These individuals were willing to do whatever it takes to obtain the crown, even if that meant turning on their fellow nobles and scheming behind closed doors.
The first person in this power struggle was Lord Marcus, an enneatype 8. He was a fierce warrior who had gained favor with the king through his military victories. Marcus believed that he was capable of ruling the kingdom better than anyone else and had been biding his time, waiting for the right opportunity to make his move.
Next was Lady Isabella, an enneatype 3. She was a skilled diplomat who had a way with words and could convince nearly anyone to do her bidding. Isabella had a network of spies working for her behind the scenes and was always privy to the latest gossip and rumors circulating through the court.
Then there was Lord Robert, an enneatype 5. He was a cunning strategist who was always analyzing data and trying to stay one step ahead of his opponents. Robert had created a secret society of like-minded individuals who shared his ambition for the throne, and they were all working tirelessly to uncover any weaknesses in the current rulers.
And finally, there was Lord William, an enneatype 1. He believed that the kingdom needed a ruler who was just and righteous and was willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that the king and queen were protected from harm.
As the power struggle continued, the stakes grew higher, and the conspiracies became darker. Lady Isabella's spies uncovered a secret plot to assassinate the queen, and she immediately alerted the king to the danger. Lord William was tasked with finding the conspirators and bringing them to justice.
Unfortunately, it was too late. The queen was found dead in her chambers, and suspicion immediately fell on Lord Marcus, who had been seen arguing with the queen earlier that day. The king was inconsolable and fell into a deep depression, leaving the kingdom without a strong leader.
The remaining lords saw this as their opportunity to finally take the throne for themselves, and they each began to make their moves. Lady Isabella used her network of spies to gather information on her opponents, Lord Robert created intricate battle plans, and Lord William sought to bring the kingdom back to order.
As the tensions rose and the armies prepared for battle, it became clear that the once peaceful kingdom was now on the brink of war. The outcome was uncertain, and the fate of the kingdom lay in the hands of its most cunning, ambitious, and ruthless players.

2023.03.31 07:19 Apprehensive_Earth_9 Not sure if I want to stay in BBA
I'm just about to complete my first year in BBA and don't know if it's worth staying in for the next 3 years. As a confused high school student not knowing what to pursue, I chose to do business administration because of the versatility that a business degree holds and the different paths you can take, despite not knowing what exactly I wanted to do in business. But I just haven't really enjoyed first year all that much. The courses that we've taken have not been enjoyable for me, although I don't imagine the majority of students did. I don't like accounting, economics and I don't see myself working a job in finance, which doesn't leave too many pathways for me to pursue. I've done some marketing, primarily for a LazSoc club that I'm in, and I see that to be the only thing out of business I can see myself doing, but still something I'm unsure about--don't think it's something I would want to pursue for the rest of my life.
I've been told that the program starts to pick up in later years, when you can start to specialize in 3rd year and actually choose the courses you take. But in my mind, I feel like I'm definitely taking a gamble now that I've cut down a bunch of the options available for me in business. In 2nd year, I still have to take econ, accounting and finance, so I'm afraid it might be a repeat of year 1.
I do understand that the first 2 years are structured in order to weed people out or just teach courses that are intro/general business courses, everyone knows this. But I can't help and think that I may end up regretting choosing this program as the years go by.
In terms of grades, I am making the cutoff to apply for Co-op, although nothing too out of this world---just fairly content with how I'm doing (electives carried last sem, with BU111, EC120 and MA129 ranging around 8-9)
Some paths I've been considering are UX, CS, SoftEng. Law is also something I enjoyed in high school, and always kept as kind of a backup after my undergrad. I am interested in working in Tech, and pursuing something that allows me to design and be creative, and hone rewarding job prospects--albeit the fact that the above job titles are a lot more than just that and require foundations in other areas such as math. As a matter of fact, math is one of the things that does hold me back from pursuing CS (not the best at Calc lol). I took CP104 and UX100 (both OC) in the summer to help me get a foot into both fields and see if it's something I really want to do, but if I want to switch programs (open to switching universities, which might be a bit late), I do not want to prolong my decision-making.
I think that staying in BBA would still be an asset, due to it just being a remarkable program that can help land a number of jobs, but I want to spend the following years doing something I enjoy and is rewarding. I've booked an appointment with BBA academic advising next week so I'll see how that goes
This post might have been a lil too long, so thank you if you have read up til this far. I'm stuck in a rut and I would really appreciate any insightful advice in helping me decide what I can do.
(Also if anybody is able to speak on the UX program or the UX minor, please let me know what your experience has been like as there seems to be a minority of you.)
