Okay so let me explain myself first: I'm working in Vietnam as a non-English tour guide (Spanish & Portuguese). The thing is, my social skills aren't amazing, my knowledge is deep enough but getting the idea across if difficult, and I consider myself to be the "chewing gum" type of person who you only wanna meet for the first 20 minutes, and after that, I become a lot less interesting.
Right now, it's the low season here as tourists don't come as frequent so I wanna take this down time and make it productive. Problem is: there aren't a lot of books on being a tour guide and those that exist tend to focus on the more technical side of it, which isn't what I was looking for. Therefore, I've listed some general personalities and characteristics that a tour guide should have, and hopefully you guys can give me a suggestion on what to read.
Ideally the book should be in european Spanish or Portuguese, but English should do fine. Extra point if they're short & concise as my attention span is that of a 17 yo Tiktok user. So here are some topics that I'm interested in:

• Presentation (of course, as being a tour guide is just presenting without PowerPoint slides)
  
• Storytelling (to better tell history & legends)
  
• Conversational skill/how to keep people invested in the conversation
  
• HumoStand up comedy (as no one wants a boring guide)
  
• Tourist behaviour & psychology

Would the Heat blowing a 3-0 lead be worse than this?

I’m a first-generation immigrant who arrived stateside as a child, when my family fled economic & political devastation in Latin America.
Before relocating to South Florida, we originally settled in a rural part of the state where the linguistic & cultural barriers seemed impossible to overcome for a short, shy, Spanish-speaking boy surrounded by intolerant American neighbors.
Basketball broke barriers my broken English never imagined possible.
I desperately clung onto the sport as a means of assimilating into America and the Miami Heat eventually became my refuge, offering newfound community through shared fandom.
Now I’m certainly not the only immigrant to endure hardship and, frankly, my experiences are far from unique. However, throughout my life sports has not only served as a unifying medium, but also as a timestamp, capturing moments meant to be cherished forever.
I have lived through every Heat championship. But in 2006, I was too young to grasp the sport and in 2012 & 2013, I was too naive to appreciate our talent.
Last year was supposed to be our year. And this time I was ready for it. But a failed Game 7 comeback against Boston later, and suddenly it wasn’t. I was crushed. I’m sure many of you were too.
Personally, I wanted the Heat to validate my growth, celebrating the passage of time through a championship run. When we fell short in 2022, I wasn’t sure when we would find ourselves in that position again.
Yet here we are.
Against all odds.
Game 7.
Just like y’all, I want this badly. It hurts watching our 3-0 lead evaporate, especially against this particular Boston team. I’m angry and disappointed and at times outright numb.
Our frenzied fans, who nationally get a bad rap, showed up tonight and deserved a trip to the Finals. Terrible star play proved otherwise. Even a frantic, last-minute rally could not overcome largely lethargic efforts from Butler and Bam. Fuck Derrick White.
But as an avid fan who owes so much to the Miami Heat, I choose to believe.
I choose to believe our Cinderella 8-seed run isn’t over. I choose to believe Butler & Spo won’t oversee the first blown 3-0 lead in NBA history. I choose to believe Miami will channel buzzer-beating heartbreak into a hard-fought win on Boston’s parquet court come Monday night.

I can only work from home and i can't get to work in a company
So considering working from home (btw im opting for Vodafone UK if there are a better companies pls suggest them) do I need a laptop?
Also what level should my English be to work in a call centre?
What are the specifications that i gotta ask for if buying a laptop for that purpose? Like opt for personal use ones or the ones that have high quality like the ones that the gamers and CS students use?

This applies to a few other areas as well,that I might be too functional to be here which sucks because I really need a place where I can post my fears with people that share the same disorder ... Last night i saw a crazy dream, so i saw that i bought an iPhone, don't remember the model but it looked like iPhone 6 but with iphone 13-14 like display and the experience was really bad, heating like hell and the software experience was also bad. It came out with iOS 22 out of the box and that time ios 25 was the lastest and couldn't vet it to be updated to latest version, even not able to signup cause of so busy schedule. Also Amitabh bachchan was kidnapped by Aliens. We could hear their conversation via Radio signals but aliens were speaking gibberish so only able to understand Amit ji's voice. Aliens were also updating their updates on human-alien stuffs on reddit like whatever they got from our side and on reddit it was written in English by them. Like we teleported a chocolate ice-cream sunday, so the image was on reddit uploaded by them and written in caption "looks guys, what humans sent us" also the the update about amitabh sir that he is with them now. Then me and one of my insta friend went to a mall for some superheroes tshirt cause he liked my tshirts so much. There at the personal belongings submission table, there were two English guys, one was a girl and one i don't remember. After that i remember one of my other friend who don't know how he reached there and don't even remember who he was started racist comment on that girl which made me feel really bad. I told him that this is really bad dude, you should not say something like this, then me and my insta friend went inside mall and then i don't remember.
Man, what a crazy dream. I hope amit sir is safe at home, not abducted by Aliens.

Hello, first of all, english isn’t my first language so there must be some mistakes, sorry for that.
I (20f) have a boyfriend (22 m) who is an awesome, caring and loving person. He has gone to my house a couple of times, he knows my parents and everything seemed great. The issue was a couple of hours ago, my little sister (15 f) was getting ready because she was going to a pool party and my mother (47 f) make a comment along the lines of: “even your younger sister goes out and has more social life and friends than you”, and I just shrugged it off and said that I’m fine with my two best friends and my boyfriend, and then she said: “well, that boyfriend of yours has no money, so he can’t take you anywhere”, I got angry and asked her what was that about, she just ignored me. And I’m really mad because my bf has been struggling to find a job because his university scheme doesn’t let him, but he finally found one and he’s staring it in two weeks, and he’s happy because he told me that he was finally going to be able to take me out to some cute places he looked at. He’s really precious. I’m just really happy seeing him so excited.
Maybe it made me really angry because even some months ago my bf told me he was sad he wasn’t able to find a job and gave me nice things or take me to nice places, but I told him I didn’t need any of that, but he still promised he was going to. And my mom doesn’t know how much he tries and his situation, that’s why I always try to support him.
I really love him. He’s a great man.

Hinduism has always been an extremely decentralized religion. Every region, linguistic group have their own traditions, beliefs, local deities, favourite gods, favourite festivals, favourite bhajans etc. Many also believe in saints, some are more serious, some different. Do you think this might change in the future, causing a convergence of beliefs. Is it possible that we lose this diversity that is present currently?
None of my friends (or I) growing up were religious, so I find it hard to imagine that young people can be religious. So practicing Hindus, those who genuinely hold some beliefs that are devoid of political effect, what does Hinduism mean to you?
Personally I like to listen to skim through Bhagavat Gita quotes or something if I am feeling down or in a slightly melancholic mood. Since I understand it better culturally (the whole context of the Mahabharat - a very fun story) I prefer it over something like Stoicism. Although I do feel they try to deliver a similar message. One is more direct while the other teaches via stories.
