Can getting a bad mark on the euclid withdraw my offer?
Context: I got accepted into uwaterloo computer engineering. Is it better for me to write the Euclid and risk getting a bad mark or not write it at all?

CAN WE DO MORE AS PARENTS?
I say we have to. I don't believe we can be reactive to these situations any longer. All is lost by then. We must be proactive to protect our kids. No one is doing anything to protect our kids. I can't drop of my child and cross my fingers and hope everything will be okay. I can't live that way. Can't we do more? I say we have to.
Ideas:
Can parents raise funds to provide for private trained security to be present at the school? Possibly an off duty police officer? Maybe there are even retired security, military, or police that would donate their time? They have kids and grandkids. As a parent, I am willing to sacrifice financially to provide this. Aren't you? The only solution I see is to have a professionally trained person present, onsite, just like they do at a bank or elsewhere. I know this opens a can of worms for some, but imperfect situations require imperfect solutions. I feel the only thing that makes a real difference is a quick response. That is what saves lives.
Parents need to take action. Should this be our burden? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe as parents, we can be the needed catalyst to drive action. Maybe we raise the money and it embarrasses the local government and the state. This is Colorado. Currently, since the legalization and taxation of marijuana, the state as collected almost $2.4 billion dollars since 2014. Where is this money? The point is, their is money to be had. I am so confused, the company don’t have a phone line and the web chat has been useless, and help would be great.
I bought a 100GB SIM card from a store, when following the activation instructions, typed in the SIM number, then the only option was to take out a new plan.

Hi all. Have a 67 vert. It’s in good condition - a solid ten footer. I’m looking for a better way to jack the whole car up.

So my (15F) mom has a system where me and my sister have about 2 chores everyday. If one of us forget or don’t do a chore, we both loose money for the month.
I’m keeping this short because I need to sleep but I’ve been super ill lately. Teachers complain to my mom I’m ill all the time and fall asleep in class, I throw up a lot, I can’t make it through the day without two naps. It may be because of my pills to get rid of my acne which is what my Mom says but it isn’t. I only throw up because I’m somehow allergic to milk now and I sometimes have milk products on accident (I didn’t know so many things have milk in) which makes me throw up and I experienced tiredness and being ill before. It’s got worse because I’m stressed about exams and family/friend stuff right now.
I’ve done all my chores apart from tidy my room. I just don’t have the time. I semi cleaned it by clearing stuff off the floor but I just haven’t had time to get to it. For example, I’ll go to school and I get home at 4. I revise until about 6 and by that point I just knock out anyway if I don’t nap. I’ll wake up about 8 have dinner and I just fall back to sleep again even when I try not to. I’m exhausted and I feel really drained. I’m trying to hard for these exams it’s making me so tired. I’m getting A’s in some subjects so my hard work is paying off but my Mom just says it’s not that good.
I’m so exhausted. My room is messy but it’s just clothes on the floor and books and papers lying around. It’s not actually unhygienic type of messy. There’s just paper and clothes spread around on my floor. My Mom just keeps screaming at me and telling my younger sister it’s my fault she doesn’t get pocket money. I just told my Mom to stop prioritising everything but how I feel and she just walked away. She hasn’t took me to the doctors. and she won’t. She has been saying she’ll call doctors about things for years and she never does it because she somehow forgets every single time.
I’m trying so hard. She never tells me she’s proud of me. I don’t care that it’s exhausting me but she’s still not proud of me. I do every other chore like washing up, cooking dinner, sweeping but when it comes to doing my room it’s just different. I don’t fall behind on chores often. This topic has been beat to death but I'll put in some info for everyone. Based on research I've done (in Canada), I've found that all RAV4s built after the refresh (22MY) with bare roof or with regular Sunroof have new roof rail designs. This includes the trail/woodland.
I received parts diagrams for bare roofs and roofs with sunroofs. Basically the parts advisor said Toyota has removed the white "alignment" clips and now only relies on 5 nuts/bolts plus adhesive, parts diagram and TIS confirm this. There is a adhesive seal around each and every nut/bolt to ensure water cannot go through. The new adhesive seals require heat and from what I was told by the parts advisor that the heat is used to activate the seal, meaning the heat "turns on" the adhesive component so it can stick. Once it cools down it remains stuck to the item but the cool thing is once it's cooled down the properties of the adhesive almost double in strength. I did some digging and numerous resources online confirmed that adhesive seals that require heat tend to work like this.
Basically, as long as the production line uses enough heat (my research said for this type of adhesive to work 100% flawlessly it needs to hit a certain temperature) then there should be zero leaks. However, in Arizona or Texas etc where heat can get very high I'm not sure if it'll reactivate the adhesive and cause damage or what else. The only issue I continue to see is that the recessed channel is such a horrible design flaw. I've never seen another company use such a deep recess before.
So good news for new model years but it took 3 years for the previous design to leak so if there are going to be leaks I'd say if it happens we'll know by 2025 the earliest.
This also begs the question of what about the prior years. A new class action lawsuit was just started and with Toyota creating a new design means they know the original one was flawed. They're about to get whalloped with that and I don't know how they can defend the design when it was changed.

I don't know what the deal is today, but I am having one panic attack on top of another, and they are really, really bad, worse than I've had in a long time. I literally feel like I'm dying. I have hyperadrenergic pots and chronic, treatment-resistant hypertension, and both of these conditions are exacerbated by panic attacks,which isn't good. My resting heart rate hasn't gone any lower than 110 in four hours, and keeps jumping up to around 135 with movement and increased severity of panic. My bp is also going nuts, hanging out around 160/110. This is after taking my blood pressure meds this morning. I'm having crazy palpitations that are making me cough and gag, and I can't control my breathing, and I'm all shaky and trembling and sweating all over. My throat is so tight it's painful, and it feels like my heart is pumping out sharp shards of ice. My muscles keep tensing involuntarily and making me squirm and make all these weird jerky movements, like there's an electric current running all through my body, and I'm freezing and burning at the same time.
I don't have any benzos or other rescue panic attack meds, because my psych meds are precribed through my intensive outpatient program, and they don't prescribe controlled substances. All I'm prescribed right now is just anafranil for my depression, and vistaril, which does absolutely nothing. I don't know where this is coming from, there's nothing going on in my life to cause this. When the first attack hit this morning, I tried to get myself calmed down by reminding myself that it's just a panic attack, it will pass, but about fifteen minutes after that one passed, an even worse one hit, and that's been the way it's gone all morning. I'm trying all my mindfulness stuff, breathing, meditating, tried working on craft projects, tried writing, tried watching funny stuff, tried reading. My mind is too wound up for any of this stuff to even begin to work, I can't get myself into the state of mind for it to be effective.
I can't handle any more of this, I need some fucking xanax or klonopin or something to help me get calmed down enough for the mindfulness stuff to work, but I don't have any way to get any other than to go to the ER, and it's never a guarantee that they'll even do it, they might just think I'm drug seeking. My husband has the car right now, anyway, so going anywhere is a moot point. I don't even know anyone who has any benzos that I could get some off of, and even if I did, I'm sure they'd want money for it, and I am completely and totally broke right now, like, even my food stamp card is empty.
Oh my god, I seriously feel like I'm going to die, and I'd almost rather die than keep feeling this way for another second. I'm so embarrassed, I've been dealing with this stuff for more than twenty years, and I can't figure out how to get these panic attacks to stop, it's pathetic. Does anyone have any suggestions? What have you done or would you do in a similar situation? I'm so scared and crazy feeling right now - like, I'm at home, but everything feels weird and unfamiliar and like there is evil all around me in the shadows or something. I can't stand it anymore, any advice or guidance or support or anything is appreciated.

OK, so at first, I was working on a theory I have that there is a certain restaurant corporation that systemically exploits its schizophrenia-spectrum employees in a peculiar way. The idea was that this corporation has created a workplace culture, even for its franchisees, where impossible tasks will be assigned, no nonschizophrenic will be deceived into attempting for the "ideal," but people on the schizophrenia-spectrum at least cognitively (less on the hallucination side of things, much less the catatonic level) are used to drawing impossible connections between facts, so their sense of possibility can be manipulated and they will try, in vain, to do the impossible, they will be gaslit about it often as well (e.g. told that they're not reaching the ideal because they're not trying hard enough).
Anyway, I was trying to think of how I would describe apophenia, here, and I thought, "It's when you take a very general fact and try to mishmash it with a very specific one." And I was like, WHY do they do that?
But so many of their "theories" end up involving wordplay and numerology and symbolism, and I think it's because that's the only way they have to make their connections. When you say something abstract, you need to use specific words nevertheless, or draw certain shapes/patterns, etc. A zillion other semiotics could work, but you can't do them all at the same time and are not disposed to semiosis in unfamiliar languages besides. But the apophenic conflates the specificity of the (on a certain level arbitrarily) chosen language with the specificity of the fact that they're trying to connect to the generalization. Since there's no relevant objective correlation in and of the things referred to themselves, this leaves the speciously amorphous "coincidences" that the apophenic always has to appeal to.
Oversimplification, but like, does apophenia's "motivation" come from a use/mention distinction failure?

Long story short, I am bipolar. I have issues with anger and depression. My husband has issues with women in general, can be disrespectful and has some gaslighting tendencies. It has gotten to the point where we can’t even talk to each other. I don’t know if this is salvageable. It would just be so much easier if we could learn to like each other again. Have any of you come to the point where your marriage just broke down, there was no communication, no understanding, and have you been able to come back from it?

Okay so heres the story. I work with a girl that I have had a crush on. I start talking to her and ask her if she’s single after the 3rd conversation that we’ve had. She said she is and ask her if she would be up for a date, but she says she doesn’t date people who she works with and doesn’t want that to get messy. Totally understandable and I respect that boundary. But then she says if I got another job or didn’t work at where we work,she would definitely say yes.
So we keep talking and just say hi whenever we pass by each other. After a while come to find out she likes tea and I am in love with tea so I ask her if she would like to join me for a cup some time. She agrees. We hangout, talk, drink tea, have tea. Then we start dancing and singing some karaoke, and I start getting the feeling she might be feeling me,and like the dumbs dumb I am, I try to kiss her (yea major cringe). Everything spirals down, she rejects the kiss, backs off, and then we have a conversation about how totally uncool that was. I apologize, told her that that was really messed up of me to do and shouldn’t have done that. Anyway we continue to hangout afterwards and then she leaves.
Two weeks pass by, still kind of say hi whenever we pass by each other. Then I go on a vacation for another two weeks and during that time I kind of had a bit of a glow-up. I come back and I see her, and she sees me and just gives me this beautiful amber eyed intense stare-down (which nearly killed me) with a smile and a light up face and welcomes me back. I say hi and say thanks and try to move on.
I just had a major interview and got offered a good position with the city I live in, been more confident of myself, been hitting the gym, had a minor glow up, lot of good things been happening. My feelings for her have died down and I have more of a handle of my feelings, but I’m still wondering if I should pursue her. What do you guys think?

Challenges are not a bad thing. It's the current implementation that is terrible.
Having a challenge to work up to helps you build in-game currency in a more fun way that just playing matches and hoping you got there yet.
A challenge shouldn't just be "build 10 tabk traps". It should be a target number that tests your skills as a player and promotes healthy gameplay. It should positively reinforce the game's design.
Examples We have three challenges right?

1. One of those challenges could be simple one you will eventually fulfill by playing, but you can fulfill by playing better than average. So for example, deal a total of X damage in MP matches. Your average player should take maybe 5 matches to fulfill, but if you are a good player, less so.
   
2. You should have wome challenges that you need to get out of your way to complete, but are healthy to attempt. Win 3 matches where you lose less than X units (where X is a realistic number). It promotes unit preservation which is a core component of the game.
   

Another example that's great for newbies and easy for veterans: Win 3 matches where you built at least 5 mines. Cheeseable, but also fosters building a key ability that newbies ignore.

1. The last category should be challenges like two, that are more situational but not so much that they will never happen. "Have an enemy step on X mines" or "Finish a game with at least two vet 3 units (or killing at least one?)"

Another very important thing is that the challenges should be faction agnostic. You can complete them with any faction, but some factions can have an easier time.

Growing up, I always felt like I had to keep my emotions bottled up. I was afraid to share my true feelings with friends and family, worried that they might judge me or not understand :/. I wanted a safe, anonymous space where I could share my thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or backlash. Tbh, after creating this thing, it was kind off crazy that I knew for a fact no one can find out who I am and I have the ability to seriously let it all out. I want all of you beautiful people to feel the same thing that I did.
This thing that I built is a labor of love, born out of my own experiences and a deep desire to help others. It's a place where you can find comfort, solace, and a listening ear when you need it most. <333

I know there have been a few posts on this in the past, but I haven't quite found what I'm looking for. I have a HUGE collection of hockey cards given to me by my neighbor sitting in boxes. Almost all base/commons, a few inserts, YG, etc. But I haven't found anything worth more than $1 (certainly haven't looked through everything though).
Is it worth sending some/all of these to COMC? I know they take 50 cents fees per card - is there anything else on top of that? I see some cards listed on there for 50 cents or less and I wonder if I'm missing something that would make it worth it to send in a ton of base stuff.
Anyone with experience or insight on this? Thanks!!
