2023.03.31 17:43 viciousturtles Reordering Rae
I'll start by saying that I absolutely adore Rae and love every song on the album. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the order of the songs. I know Ashe has said there's a reason she picked this order, but I personally find myself choosing to listen to individual songs rather than the album as a whole. I absolutely loved the ordering of Ashlyn, and I wanted to make my own order of Rae to see how it would work. This is all my opinion, so I'd love to hear what you all think!
I'll be writing in-depth reasons as to why I'm picking this order, so if you don't want to read all of that, here's the track list:
- Rae's Theme
- Another Man's Jeans
- Love You Need
- It Can't Be You
- Angry Woman
- Hope You're Not Happy
- omw
- Emotional
- Loose Ends
- San Jose
- Shower With My Clothes On
- Love Is Letting Go
- Fun While It Lasted
- Count On Me
Most of the songs on the album fall into one of three topics: light, fun relations (Another Man's Jeans, Emotional, San Jose), deep, profound love (Love You Need, Count On Me), and post-break-up sadness (Hope You're Not Happy, It Can't Be You, Loose Ends, Shower With My Clothes On, Fun While It Lasted). Love Is Letting Go may fit into either of the latter categories. To start the reasoning for this, I had two main issues with the original order: a) Another Man's Jeans -> Hope You're Not Happy and b) ending with Fun While It Lasted (a pessimistic song).
Besides Rae's Theme, the album starts with Another Man's Jeans, which sets up the album as lighthearted and playful. Then there's a jarring switch to Hope You're Not Happy. Normally I think jarring switches on albums can be fun if there's multiple in a row, but the next song on the album is Shower With My Clothes On, which means the album went from starting with a fun song to suddenly switching to two sad songs in a row. On top of that, it's weird to hear two post-break-up songs in a row when there hasn't been a relationship established yet. It's hard to imagine that the subject of Hope You're Not Happy or Shower With My Clothes On is the same subject as Another Man's Jeans because Another Man's Jeans is just about having fun sex while the other two depict a strong bond being lost.
Ending with Fun While It Lasted also feels like it undoes any positive growth that was gained over the course of the album. Especially after "Count on me and I'll be there", "I almost believed in love" makes it feel like it's not worth pursuing anything worthwhile in a relationship. Personally this song as the last song on the album makes me sad, and Count on Me is a much more uplifting choice.
Here's a more in-depth analysis of my decisions:
1) Rae's Theme - I have no notes, obviously there is not other way to start the album. This is a fun, ominous little tune that really sets the mood for the album. It starts as something you may hear in the hallway leading to a jazz club, then swells into a bombastic opening that really hypes you up for what's to come.
2) Another Man's Jeans - There's no other choice as the second song either as Rae's Theme leads directly into it. As I said earlier, I like that the album starts off with such an upbeat, fun tune. There's a good dichotomy between the lightheartedness of this song with the deeper themes that other songs explore later.
3) Love You Need - As with the original decision to have Hope You're Not Happy in this slot, there is a big change in mood between Another Man's Jeans and this song. But rather than Hope You're Not Happy exploring a breakup, Love You Need explores a deeper feeling of love. The fun portrayed in Another Man's Jeans and the longing portrayed in Love You Need are like two sides of the same coin of a relationship. Having these two songs together emphasizes a range of emotions that a person can feel with another person. Musically, I also think that the breakdown at the end of Another Man's Jeans transitions well from its upbeat tune to the slower piano ballad of Love You Need.
4) It Can't Be You - I think the original track listing was very smart in putting this song right after Love You Need. There's an interesting flow of these songs: Love You Need is a slower song with powerful, loving lyrics, while It Can't Be You is an upbeat song with sad lyrics. On top of that the line "Baby 'til forever falls apart" mirrors well with "Said forever on a whim, now I know it isn't true." As I stated earlier, it's strange to have Hope You're Not Happy be a post-break-up song when there wasn't a relationship established before. Love You Need and It Can't Be You together do a good job in establishing both the relationship and its ending.
5) Angry Woman - This song is not so much about relationships/love, but rather woman empowerment and how women are mistreated in society. I think it fits well here because its more rocking bassline and high energy contrast against the acoustic sounds of It Can't Be You. Additionally, if we look at the aforementioned breakup in terms of the stages of grief, anger follows denial, which is somewhat explored in It Can't Be You (though there could be a case made for It Can't Be You actually more falling in line with bargaining).
6) Hope You're Not Happy - This is a good follow-up to Angry Woman because it's also portraying anger, but directed towards the person in the relationship. I also think the cutaway of all the music at the end of Angry Woman to just have Ashe's voice blends so well into the piano/vocals of Hope You're Not Happy.
7) omw - We're just going to skip over the rest of the stages of grief and get right to acceptance. This is a fun song about heading off somewhere but being ok with not knowing where. It's a great song to end Side A with (if you somehow had the vinyl of this theoretical order). Additionally starting the song with "I take back what I said...even though I meant it" is a great follow-up to the entire concept of Hope You're Not Happy.
8) Emotional - What can I say about this song? It's just so fun. If you had the vinyl, this would be a great start to side B. I'd imagine you would just put down the needle and start dancing. This song has a similar topic to Another Man's Jeans, and considering Side A went through a whole fun sex->relationship->breakup->healing story, it's cyclical in returning to the fun sex portion.
9) Loose Ends - Speaking of jarring transitions, I love how this song works after Emotional. Considering Emotional fades out a little and Loose Ends has a muffled intro, there's a nice little buffer between the songs. This song seems to be about being lost in the wake of a faded relationship. It's as if she came down from the high of omw/Emotional, and this is where she found herself, unsure of what to do next.
10) San Jose - We couldn't have another sad song after Loose Ends, and I feel that musically San Jose follows it well. The topic falls more in line with the fun sex subject of Another Man's Jeans and Emotional, but it's more of a seductive, jazzy tune compared to the other two's sheer joy.
11) Shower With My Clothes On - I found it hard to place this song. It's in line with the longing of Loose Ends, so it's nice to have a more fun tune cushioned between them. If you look at Loose Ends, San Jose, and Shower With My Clothes On together, they serve to show that healing in a breakup is not necessarily linear, there can be islands of fun and joy in a sea of uncertainty.
12) Love You Need - This song serves both to show a profound sense of love as seen in Love You Need, but armed with the knowledge that relationships don't always last forever. Sometimes you need to let the person you love go, even if it's painful. The lightly optimistic blend of acoustic guitar and horn work well after the acoustic guitar of Shower With My Clothes On. (At the end we could add the last 14 seconds of Count On Me to lead into Fun while It Lasted).
13) Fun While It Lasted - This song is a somewhat happy-sounding tune with generally pessimistic lyrics regarding love. It follows the wistful nature of both Loose Ends and Shower With My Clothes On, but is more happily regarding the relationship (but disdaining love in general). It's the effect of the painful follow through of "sometimes love is letting go."
14) Count On Me - This song circles back and moves away from the pessimism of Fun While It Lasted, to serve as a reminder that it can be worth loving again, even if you know what there is to lose. It is the perfect reflection of Love You Need (albeit far more upbeat) as it positively depicts giving yourself fully to someone. On top of that, it feels like a letter to her fans that we can count on her when things are hard (as personally I find her words incredibly healing), so ending the album with the words "Count on me" is powerful. I don't know how to describe it, but this song just
feels like an album finale. Maybe its how it starts with "This could be our last night together" or how it starts of slow and then swells drastically (just like Rae's Theme! I only realized this perfect mirroring of the start of the album while writing this). This song just works well as the finale in my opinion.
There you have it, an overly drawn-out explanation of how I think the track list could be improved. What do you all think? Do you like the original? I'd love to hear your thoughts! I've been thinking about this since the album came out, but it was only today that I re-listened to the album after the first time in a while and decided to write this out.
Here's a Spotify playlist including the reordered version if you'd like to try it! submitted by

2023.03.31 17:32 RazPie Milk Road Choke Point update
Q1 RECAP: CRYPTO BANKS FALL, OPERATION CHOKE POINT 2.0, & BITCOIN WINS š Itās March 31 - which means Q1 is over. And the end of each quarter in crypto kinda feels like Report Card Dayā¦
You get your grades back, see how well you performed, reflect on what couldāve gone better, and wonder whether your teachers are secretly plotting against you.
Well, this first quarter was a rollercoaster for crypto:
Prices were in the green across the board, with Bitcoin up 70% and ETH up 51% (AKA crypto got good grades) There were a lot of regulatory crackdowns and lawsuits against the industry and its partners (AKA crypto and its friends got a lot of detention, with some getting expelled) Just in case you blinked and missed something, weāre coming at ya with The Milk Road Q1 Recap. Here are 3 big takeaways, all in under 3 minutesā¦
1/ TRADFI SUFFERS, CRYPTO DOES TOO This year was off to a solid start. Bitcoin was on the up-and-up, Rihanna sang at the Super Bowl, my mom finally learned how FaceTime worksā¦
But then came the collapse of the three Sās - Signature, Silvergate, and Silicon Valley Bank.
Each one was a big on-ramp connecting the crypto world to the banking system and made it easy for companies to exchange customersā digital assets into real dollars.
So what? Now crypto firms have to:
Find new reputable banks to work with. While regulators make it very hard for them to do that⦠Team up with sketchy, unregulated banks. Thatād be an L for customers. Buy one of the real-time payment networks that Silvergate/Signature offered. The FDIC is trying to sell Signet (Signature's) right now. Start their own bank. Kraken already did. Store their funds overseas. The U.S. could lose out bigtime if this started to happen. Or rely more heavily on the smaller banks theyāre already partnered with. The banksā collapse also kicked off a Blame Game about why exactly they failed.
Was it because they each decided to interact with the crypto space? Or because of the financial system that crypto was designed to replace?
Which brings us toā¦
2/ OPERATION CHOKE POINT 2.0 All year Iāve been hearing about something called āOperation Choke Point 2.0ā. At first, I thought it was a new action movie. Turns out itās a real thingā¦
But first, let's talk about the original Operation Choke Point. This was an initiative started by the U.S. government back in 2013 that targeted risky, āfrowned uponā businesses like online gambling, pawnshops, firearm sellers, tobacco sellers, etc.
It had one goal: find a way to cut these businesses off from the traditional finance system.
How? Coordinate a regulatory attack on the businesses and all their banking partners.
By targeting the banking partners and launching massive investigations, the U.S. government slowly āchoked outā these risky businessesā access to the finance system.
Sound familiar?
Fast forward 10 years to today and weāre seeing a lot of similarities. Hereās what happened in Q1:
Cryptoās top banking partners - SVB, Silvergate, and Signature - were all shut down or seized by the government. A Signature Bank board member said he believed it was an āanti-cryptoā message since the bank wasnāt insolvent or in deep financial trouble Signature Bank was finally sold, but U.S. regulators said its crypto business must be shut down. Crypto clients have until April 5 to close their accounts. Kraken got sued by the SEC and was forced to shut down its staking services. Coinbase received a Wells Notice from the SEC for offering unregistered securities. Binance got sued by the CFTC for offering unregistered futures & options trading . Paxos got sued by the SEC and was forced to stop issuing its BUSD stablecoin. In other words, crypto got sent to the Principal's office a bunch this quarter. Except the Principal is the U.S. government and instead of getting detention, you get sued.
The cherry on top? U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren has just announced sheās building an āAnti-Crypto Armyā. #milkroad #chokepoint

2023.03.31 17:30 CycleScenePHL_NJ CycleScenePHL Welcome Planners Information (including weather info)
CycleScene Welcome Planners: Important Information
WHAT IS IT? The American Planning Association is having a convention in Philly. Lower Merion Planner Chris Leswig invited CycleScenePHL to ride with 25 planners from across the nation to ride bikes, explore some infrastructure, listen to lectures, and enjoy a happy hour.
MEET UP Sat April 1, 11:30am Broad and Cherry (Paintbrush).ROLL OUT: 12:00pm
WEATHER INFORMATION: As of the time of this posting, the forecast calls for precipitation to end by roll out. A telephone conversation will take place at 8:30am and a decision will be made about what to do. There is no rain date: the APA convention schedule doesnāt allow for that. We might delay roll out and/or alter the route. Worst case scenario, everyone is still invited to the happy hour at Pencoyd Landing.
WHAT ABOUT THE FREE BEER? The first 25 to show up at the paint brush will get a token for a free beer. We donāt know what kind, and we donāt know what the prices for drinks will be thereafter. This is something Chris and the APA has offered to do for us, and itās just the cherry on top of a good ride.
THE ROUTE. CycleScene planned a route that gets us from the Paintbrush to the SRT. We intended to go west on Cherry and cross the tracks at Race Street, but if thereās a train ā we have a plan.
Chris takes over the ride once we get on the SRT. It goes to Manayunk, across the bridge, up the heritage trail to the train station, through the cemetery, to the happy hour at Pencoyd Landing, and then back up the trail. Weāll do a full stop and regather at several obvious points, including the falls bridge, the end of the SRT, beginning of the towpath (to see if itās passable), end of the tow path.
CycleScene takes back over when we enter the streets. There will be a full stop Matthias Baldwin Park for a group shot. And then back to the Paint Brush!
THE PRESENTATIONS
Kay Sykora: Funding and Design of a Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge Project; City Coordination with Community Groups for Neighborhood Amenities; Main Street management
Rob Armstrong & Chris Leswing: The Regional Trail Network; the Process of Trail Creation and Construction; Adaptive Reuse of a Historic Train Station
CYCLESCENE RIDING STYLE: We go out to enjoy riding with friends and go to fun places, not to make trouble. We take the whole traffic lane when appropriate, sometimes even when there is a frustrated car behind us ā we have the right to the full traffic lane and we do it because sometimes thatās the safest, most pleasant, and best way to ride. We are traffic, so we we ride with traffic on the right hand side of the road. We donāt ride against traffic on a one way or on the left hand side of the road. We let cars pass on the left by moving to the right when safe and appropriate. The ride is a party, not a protest ā weāre having too fun much to wreck the vibe by arguing with drivers and we let the little stuff slide for the sake of the safety and happiness of the others on the ride. We stay off the sidewalk, but if we have to hop on it for a moment, we are extremely deferential and respectful to the pedestrians. We respect traffic lights, road signs, and police instruction. We do our best to move through intersections as one, like a bus, so if weāre halfway through an intersection and the light turns, we stay together until the whole ride gets through, so long as its safe. We thank drivers when they extend us courtesy, show patience, and work with us. We show love for the neighborhoods we pass through. We donāt litter.
YOU MAY BE OFFERED TO SIGN A VOLUNTARY MUTUAL RELEASE. Riding on the streets with a group, both in traffic and off road, sometimes at night, and stopping at urban explorer destinations, involves inherent and often unforeseeable risks of serious injury or worse. Even death. I know this ā yet I still ride because itās fun. I want to keep it fun and friendly no matter what. Iāve reviewed the ride information, talked to the organizers, and mingled with the rest of the ridership. If I didnāt like what I saw, I wouldnāt go on the ride. Therefore, I promise not sue anyone that has signed this agreement for their participation in group bike rides in exchange for their promise not to sue me for my participation in group bike rides. If I get hurt, Iām free to seek indemnification from third parties - but we the undersigned all agree that none of us sues each other in the event something bad happens. My signature indicates that I have assumed all risks and agree that to waive all claims as to anyone that has also signed this agreement, including claims of negligence against any co-signor that planned the ride, led the ride, or participated in the ride. 2023.03.31 17:23 evoneselse Has anyone had any issues going from full Apple Music to Voice in regard to your library?
Hi, I am thinking about doing the 6 month free trial (bought another HomePod) which would give me the full service. If down the road I realized I wasnāt using the full features and using it via Siri was sufficient, are there any things particularly in regard to my own library and purchases that could get messed up?
Iāve held off all these years because my own library is pretty extensive and sorted with my playlists, and I guess I remember find horror stories which may or may not still be the case. Not that I even need more music but I need it for the Homekit automations. Thanks!

2023.03.31 17:14 mustlovedeadboys 41 [M4F] - #sandiego / San Diego (California) - equal parts Gen x and millennial - seeking a genuine connection
Iāve posted many times before and spoke to some interesting people but never āthe oneā and keeping up with the responses got a bit overwhelming.
Yes, my picture is the meme of the 40 something guy who never smiles. I assure you, I smile. Just not in selfies. If you do reply, please also send a picture. I feel itās fair since I posted one.
Iām 41, single, no children and I live in San Diego. single since 2019. 5ā10.5ā, 189lbs. Ethnically ambiguous (Latino but people always think middle eastern) INFJ. Virgo. (I donāt put too much stock in that type of compatibility though).
What I am looking for in a potential partner:
I have few and very generic prerequisites. You should be a critical thinker. In the current climate of intentionally misleading headlines and generally biased news, I think being able to suss out what is real and whatās misleading is important.
I value intelligence. Like I donāt require a masters degree but Iād like to feel like the person Iām chatting with is somewhat smarter than me. I canāt 100% say Iām sapiosexual because I do want to be with someone I find attractive, but Iām most attracted to Intelligent people.
I really like people who generally laugh first before getting upset. People who can make a morbid joke in a bad (but not life threatening) situation. Like if youāre on a road trip to Vegas and get a flat tire. You could get really upset⦠or you could say āwelllll I guess weāre going to be late picking up the hookersā.
In terms of introversion vs extroversion I donāt really have a preference. I get along with both. Iām an introvert who is always happy to go just about anywhere as long as you are the one dealing with the traffic and parking :)
I am generally never really bored. If Iām not pondering the nature of existence or having some sort of internal debate, Iām watching science documentaries or on Wikipedia or YouTube falling down a rabbit hole. I know a little bit about a lot of things and have an absurd amount of random but not quite useless information floating around in my head. I love deep talks. But I also love some good old fashioned low brow humor. Except dad jokes. I just canāt get into them.
Iām not religious. You could say Iām spiritual but not in a theological way. I donāt care if god exists and doubt god wound care what my thoughts were. I canāt really say Iām an atheist. I dislike extremes and absolutes. My motto is generally āI could be wrongā and itās served me well in my times of existential crisis (which have become fewer as Iāve gotten older). I take comfort in my belief that there is no beginning or end. Time is a man made construct and nothing ever really ceases to be, it just changes. I donāt believe I will simply āstop existingā when I die. I donāt believe in heaven or hell. I think those concepts are tied to a superstitious belief in absolute good or absolute evil. And as I said, I dislike absolutes. Even in science, absolute rules are sometimes amended. I do good deeds because I feel like itās the right thing to do, not for the promise of reward or the fear of punishment. Strangely, even though Iām undecided on the existence of āgodā, I regularly look up and talk to god. I believe in its psychological importance. Looking upwards tends to improve optimism. And I am an optimist.
I dated quite a lot in my younger years. I ātried onā a lot of different types of people. I learned to get over people when they werenāt healthy. I learned that I was not the ābest boyfriend youāll ever haveā as so many ānice guysā believe they are (before they date much). Itās a valuable experience to figure out youāre not offering anything literally any other person could. You learn that you need to work towards things together and give the other person what they need rather than what you like to offer. Of course thereās always a compromise.
Dating over 40 has been a mixed bag. Iām not great at making new friends or meeting people. The apps required a lot of effort for the minimal responses you get. And the pool of people in my age group was tiny.
I got married at 32 and Divorced at 38. I took the relationship seriously and cultivated the ability to cut conversations with flirtatious people short. Thatās a hard habit to break. Especially since I do take the pandemic seriously and have laid low and avoided large gatherings . I made it till December of 2022 without catching Covid!
I have acclimated to things changing as Iāve aged. At first the changes bothered me (receding hairline, slower metabolism, grey hairs in my beard etc) but eventually I came to an equilibrium where I embrace and accept that we all age and change.
As such, Iām not big on plastic surgery or attempts to look younger or āfixā your physical features. I donāt think itās good for your self esteem. And I think the longer you put off accepting aging, the harder it will be to take when the inevitable happens.
Along the way, I came to the conclusion donāt want to have kids. If you have them, thatās fine. But Iām not looking to procreate. If there was any lingering āmaybeā I had, the looming threat of WW3 and a world wide pandemic murdered it.
Nothing is more attractive than confidence. Iām not saying you shouldnāt take care of yourself and always put your best foot forward but confidence is key. Believe it or not, some people like your ānon standardā features. And what is the standard, really?
I have IG for photography and canāt help but notice how much everyone filters their pictures and falls prey to the ābeauty standardsā posted by people who do not meet those standards without heavy editing. The world is full of naturally beautiful people. And I do not see that reflected in social media. I debate deleting it daily but worry about offending the people I only connect with through it.
I am a musician of 25 years (I say that loosely). Iāve been playing guitar for quite a long time. From the moment I first plucked a string (on a broken , hand me down acoustic) I was hooked. It was like a drug. I use to just place my ear to the body and strum. Listening to the rich tone. It would give me shivers. I actually still feel that way. I feel like in some ways, music saved me. Before I found it, I was into drawing. I was quite good but it frustrated me often. Music has never really done that. You can haphazardly create beauty and if you do something wrong, itās gone and you move on. I love all music but I tend to like things with angst and āoomphā that tend to be (but not always are) guitar driven. To put that into perspective, I love Hendrix and dislike John Mayer. Hopefully that makes sense.
Iām a decent cook. I could go on blathering about how I fell in love with it or what a huge influence Anthony Bourdain was but letās just say I canāt be with a picky eater. Having food allergies (shellfish, peanuts) means I stare longingly and jealously at people eating the things I canāt. I want to eat adventurously but canāt. So I take great care to appreciate what I can and try what I can.
Photography⦠I havenāt picked up my camera in months. I actually really love photography. But sometimes you get up and go to shootā¦To find the lighting during that time of day is horrible. And Iām not an early riser. So golden hour seems elusive. I love photo walks though. Casually walking and talking with a friend is great. I just donāt have anyone to do it with anymore. I like taking pictures of things rather than people. I like light and deep shadow. Sean tucker is an amazing photographer that captures what I love perfectly. I also love Harry gruyaert. Iām low key jealous of photographers who live in cities which are full of amazing architecture and color. San Diego is beautiful, but not in that way.
I play video games but donāt consider myself a gamer. Right now Iām binging on genshin impact. Before that I played (and loved) both horizon games. I generally play games that can be played with friends and tend to lose interest in anything else. Co op pve is great. PvP is not my thing.
Sports⦠although Iām not a sports guy, I actually am EXTREMELY into european football (soccer to us Americans). I watch every Manchester United game per season. I watch the champions league (and Europa league if Man U are in it). I dabble in all the big leagues but am most interested in the premier league. And when the World Cup comes around I really make an effort to wake up early and soak it in. Thereās something beautiful about it being the worlds sport. There is no dominant race. There is no requisite body type. Short. Tall. Fast. Slow. Strong. Weak. They can ALL play the beautiful game. I love that. Generally, I root for the US first. But once theyāre out I would equally root for any team that plays their hearts out.
Ok the essay is over. I think Iāve talked your ear off long enough. You got a snippet of who I am. Tell me about yourself?
Iām hoping to meet someone local or within say a 2 hr drive of San Diego but I am open to anyone who occasionally travels here. And accents are dead sexy. Especially all of the regional British ones.
If I didnāt bore your socks off, I have a ton of posts detailing my views on things. Feel free to browse. Or if youād rather take the old fashioned approach, feel free to ask whatever you like.

2023.03.31 17:11 StepwiseUndrape574 Mexican Drug Cartels Apparently Think Skilled GTA Online Players Make Great Meth Mules
I have no personal frame of reference for this opinion, but I imagine being a drug runner for the Mexican cartel (or any cartel) is loads more fun in a video game setting than in real life. The latter pays more I'm sure, but the stress, risk to life and limb, and persistent threat of jail time have me convinced to stick with legal employment. Not so for some GTA Online gamers who thought it a good idea to become meth mules.
It sounds wild (because it is), but apparently drug cartels sometimes use online multiplayer video games as a source for new blood. Back in October of last year, for example, Mexico's assistant public safety secretary, Ricardo MejĆa, said a cartel recruiter purchased bus tickets for three teenagers between 11 and 14 years old.
The recruiter found the teens on Garena Free Fire, a popular online game, and offered them each $200 per week to serve as lookouts for the cartel. Authorities detained the teens before they boarded the bus, but MejĆa told ABC News that other cartels have also recruited drug mules and lookouts through video games, including Call of Duty, Gears of War, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Now three months later, Forbes says it discovered that US officials have evidence showing GTA Online is also used as a recruitment tool for drug cartels.
It's not clear how long this has allegedly been going on, but according to the site, border agents stopped and inspected a Jeep Cherokee in Arizona last November and found almost 60 kilograms of methamphetamine. The driver, Alyssa Navarro, said a man named George first contacted her in GTA Online, through which they got to know each other over time.
Those in-game chats later pivoted over to Snapchat, where George raised the idea of being a runner, albeit for electronics to be sold in Mexico. Navarro claims she was offered up to $2,000 per trip, depending on the size of the load.
The only problem for Navarro is that the cartel allegedly hid meth in the Jeep's fuel tank. Authorities have charged Navarro with conspiracy to import and sell meth, and also possession, charges for which she has pleaded not guilty.
It remains to be seen how that case will turn out. Suffice to say, though, if someone online propositions you for an offer that seems too good to be trueāor is outright illegalāit's best to politely decline.

We always focus quality apart from quantity and make a dream home, flat, office, hotel or shop for our customer Cost dependent factor for flat interior design in Howrah - Your Need ā The kind of furniture and utilities you are looking for determines the primary cost. A Modular Kitchen will lay different cost than a designer Sofa set. Similarly, a king-sized bed will be costlier than a normal sized bed.
- Purpose Of Use the Flatā In case you are planning to put up your flat on rent, it will require much less cost of decoration as it will involve mainly the basics. However, if you are going to stay yourself, it will need much more detailing and thereby result in higher cost.
- Material Used For Your Flat ā Your preference will monitor the cost to a great extent. The materials and details you want to put up will decide the cost. Branded materials will cost you more. Similarly, all wooden furniture will be costlier than Plywood furniture.
- Expert and Professional Designerās ā The more experienced and mastered designer you higher, the more aesthetically lavish your flat will be. With that, the cost too will increase. Generally, every component you use, be it the modular kitchen, Wardrobes, Bathroom, Bedroom, false ceilings, Living Room, decorative goods etc, is generally measured in āPer Sqft Rateā.
Our designers visit your flat and measure the area covered by each requirement in sqr ft to give you the detailed budget of the same. The sqr ft rate again depends on the article, its material, design, and quality. The measurement process of sqr ft is very simple. For 2-D featured like wall-papers, the area is simply measured. For 3-D units, the face area is measured only. submitted by westinteriors to u/westinteriors [link] [comments] |

2023.03.31 17:00 _bensy_ Is a used Fiesta ST the wrong car for me?
I'm looking for a used car in the 14k range; I'll pay cash. I want a manual for sure. I'm primarily interested in a Mazda 3 hatch, but am also considering a base Focus ST or a Fiesta ST (not the base Fiesta). I've never actually driven a Fiesta ST, and there's none near me, though a couple within 100 miles at decent prices. I'm busy with work so don't have a lot of time to just check them out. My use case is mostly grocery getting and taking the kid to school (20 mins/day) and to riding lessons an hour away once a week. I live in central NY and it's hilly and snowy but I'm fine with good all season tires, I"ve done it all my life. I don't need much room, and we have a comfortable car for road trips. So my question is whether it's worth looking at a Fiesta ST or if it's one of those, "if you don't know, it's not for you" type of situations. I'm not looking for luxury, but I also don't want to be grimacing every time I'm not speeding around a corner.

2023.03.31 16:58 Lupulmic Why are road bikes the most expensive category of bike?
In this case, Iām referring to road bikes offered by big brands like Specialized, Trek, Canyon, etc. I donāt understand why road bikes are up-marked compared to mountain, gravel, and even e-bikes. I find that brands offer more models of MTBs with wider price ranges and with more frequent sales compared to road bikes. As someone who knows nothing about the bike industry, this doesnāt seem right when MTBs typically have more components like suspension that youād think would make them more expensive. The same goes for gravel bikes which are generally cheaper than road and e-bikes which have batteries and more complicated components than road bikes yet still cost less! Can anyone explain why this is?

2023.03.31 16:42 prestolicios Guitar packaging
Ok so I need to ship my guitar across country and my question is if I show up at a post office with my guitar in it's case, will they be able to package it? I assume yes, but I want to minimize running around town looking for a box or a service that can properly package. Thanks in advance!

2023.03.31 16:39 Jell03rs [M4F] Turns out angels are real after allā¦
The soft synths paired with the sharp drums of Everybody wants to rule the world echoed out of the old car's speakers as they flew down the highway, with nothing but miles of sandy nothingness around them.
"So let me get this straight..." Jess started to say as she looked at the man sitting across from her. "Angels are real?"
He in turn didn't take his eyes off the road as he answered. "Angels, demons, anything celestial really, although you all didn't really get it right in any major religion as far as depictions are concerned."
"Is there a devil too then?"
"That's a question with an answer that'd be too complicated to answer right here and now."
"And you're an angel, one that I'm technically not supposed to see because I shouldn't be able to see you at all?"
"Correct."
"But I can see you?"
"Which is worrying to say the least. Whatever this means we gotta find out what it means, and we gotta find out before the others do because they usually have rather simple solutions to complex problems..."
"I don't really understand."
Suddenly the car stopped, but it didn't stop physically in any way. It rather seemed as if time had stopped and they were still able to move.
"Oh no, not now..."
"What's wrong I don't understand, how ar-"
"Hello there Raphael, it's been a while."
"Hi Azrael, it has. Please don't call me that though, you know I don't like it."
Jess could see a man in the backseat via the rear view mirror. He wore a black suit, had blonde, slicked back hair, and smiled as if he was about to tell you why you should invest in his company.
"Force of habit. Who are you here with, she looks pretty. Another human? You should know better."
"Take a second look, then you'll know why I'm this alarmed."
The man looked at Jess and realized she could hear and see them as well as move.
"That's... New and unexpected..." he mumbled as he seemed taken aback by this discovery. "Michael and Justinia should know about this..."
"No, wait!" Raphael called out and stopped the man from opening the car door, and, presumeably, leaving the vehicle. "We can't tell them now. I have to find out more before we can tell them, they'll just deal with her as they usually do."
The man looked at Jess, then at Raphael, then back at Jess. "Alright, but I want to be updated if you find out about anything and if you don't I'll notify you."
Jess blinked and they were back driving on the highway.
"And, how was your first time meeting the Dark angel? If I didn't know better I'd say he likes you."
Hi there, i hope you have a good day so far. In essence my idea revolves around someone whoās able to see angels and thereby gets to find out about all the secrets our and their world holds! Thereās of course more to this idea than I managed to put into this post before it became a wall of text, so let me know if you have any questions right away!
In any case I wish you a very good day, especially if you managed to get to the end of this post haha

2023.03.31 16:32 ellglad24 Best B2B SaaS Calls to Action?
Okay, I'm marketing director for a b2b consulting firm with 2 seperate audiences. One is economic developers, and one is manufacturers looking to expand or relocate. We matchmake communities with jobs that will relocate to community.
I've just stepped into the role and their previous marketing was mostly absent.
The sales-to-close funnel is fuzzy at Best, which makes CTA's super tricky and confusing.
They can't book a demo until they've talked ti like 2 different sales people. The CTA's that lead to a calendly link go nowhere ...the bounce rate is so high for those darn calendar landing pages no matter how we phrase.
We have several indoctrination and nurture campaigns, depending on where they enter our pipeline. They trigger notes to sales reps to call and reach out. Yet, it's the same issue. Where to lead them?
This also affects the ad campaigns. For ads for conversion and traffic, not lead gen or brand awareness (CEO does not want that for now) we need to lead them to take action on our website. And yet there isn't any action for them to take except to wait around for a sales call.
Indoctrination is easy, but once they hit Nurture, there's something vital missing in the funnel and I can't figure it out.
My CEO doesn't even know where to send them. We can reword the CTA button a million times, but the only options available are the demo phase, or the schedule a call route.
I created some white paper how-tos to use as content, they have podcasts, blogs and FAQs. I'm in the middle of getting case studies created.
The content is looking up, and those are great for nurturing...
Idk. Does this make sense??? Closing a service is more nuanced sometimes than products. Maybe the problem is having such a focus on sales calls closing deals?
I just created a road map for one segment of clients yesterday. Perhaps I should use that as my own road map for each CTA destination. Hmm
Any ideas? Help!
