This trend started when the company began their partnership with Saudi Arabia in 2018, a place where they now host two PLEs every year. According to sources familiar with the situation, WWE is being paid a handsome fee of $1.5 million dollars to bring the Backlash PLE to San Juan, Puerto Rico in May. The fee is being paid out by the Puerto Rico Convention Center District Authority (PRCDA) and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Backlash will be the first PLE/PPV that has been held in the country since New Year’s Revolution back in 2005.
It was also noted in the report that, “WWE is also speaking to various locations domestically and around the world about the economic impact (hotels, bars, restaurants) and spotlight (broadcast and social promotion in the area) that WWE brings to a city and its venue.” Obviously, they are going to keep making the most money they can from the deal.

The company’s chief information security officer, Pierre Jourdan, said the intrusion was the work of highly skilled hackers, stating, “this appears to have been a targeted attack from an Advanced Persistent Threat, perhaps even state sponsored.” (The Record)
Open letter calls for AI “pause” Over 1,000 people signed an open letter calling on “all AI labs to immediately pause for at least 6 months the training of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4.” Signees include Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, Stability AI founder and CEO Emad Mostaque, and Tristan Harris of the Center for Humane Technology, as well as some engineers from Google and Meta. The letter argues a “level of planning and management” isn’t happening, with the industry instead “locked in an out-of-control race” to develop ever-more powerful models. 17% of security leaders consider cybersecurity team fully-staffed Security leaders' perception of their own cyber resilience was analyzed in a recent study by Immersive Labs. Despite high confidence in overall resilience, the study found that teams are insufficiently prepared for threats, as 82% agree they could have mitigated some to all of the damage of their most significant cyber incident in the last year if they were better prepared, and more than 80% don't think, or are unsure, their teams have the capabilities to respond to future attacks. Seventeen percent of respondents consider their cybersecurity team to be fully-staffed and almost half of respondents admit they aren’t able to measure cyber capabilities, further eroding confidence in the organization’s preparedness. Inaudible ultrasound attack can stealthily control your phone, smart speaker American university researchers have developed a novel attack called “Near-Ultrasound Inaudible Trojan” (NUIT) that can launch silent attacks against devices powered by voice assistants, like smartphones, smart speakers, and other IoTs. Professor Guenevere Chen of the University of Texas in San Antonio (UTSA), her doctoral student Qi Xia, and professor Shouhuai Xu of the University of Colorado (UCCS) demonstrated NUIT attacks against modern voice assistants found inside millions of devices, including Apple’s Siri, Google’s Assistant, Microsoft’s Cortana, and Amazon’s Alexa, showing the ability to send malicious commands to those devices. The main principle that makes NUIT effective and dangerous is that microphones in smart devices can respond to near-ultrasound waves that the human ear cannot, thus performing the attack with minimal risk of exposure while still using conventional speaker technology. Panera Bread will use palm-scanning technology for its loyalty program Panera Bread is rolling out palm scanners that will link customers’ handprints to their loyalty accounts — a move the company paints as convenient but that privacy advocates have decried. The biometric-gathering technology, developed by Amazon, will hit stores in the next few months, Panera said on Wednesday. The gadgets will help suggest menu items based on customers’ order histories and allow employees to greet customers by their names and share customers’ available rewards, the company said. Panera Bread CEO Niren Chaudhary described the move as a “frictionless, personalized, and convenient” evolution of Panera’s loyalty program, which boasts 52 million members. However, digital rights activists worry that information could be tapped by federal agencies or accessed by hackers. (CBS News)
Flaw found in WiFi protocol According to a technical paper published by researchers at Northeastern University, the IEEE 802.11 protocol contains a fundamental security flaw, opening the door to attackers tricking access points to leaking network frames in plaintext. This exploits a behavior in access points when they enter a power saving mode, where they queue frames to send on wakeup. Attackers can spoof a device on the network to send a power-saving frame to an AP, forcing it to start queuing frames, which can then be transmitted back to the device on a forced wakeup. With this data in a shifted authentication context, the attackers can inject data into the TCP connection. Cisco acknowledged the flaw but said any data obtained “would be of minimal value in a securely configured network.” (Bleeping Computer)
Debt servicing giant exposes financial data The firm NCB Management Services sent out breach notification letters, disclosing a cyberattack it detected on February 4th. According to documents filed with Maine’s Attorney General, the attack exposed personal data on just under 495,000 people. This included names, addresses, phone numbers, driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, and routing numbers. The company claims it “obtained assurances that the third party no longer has any of the information on its systems,” indicating it paid a ransom. This appeared to target closed credit cards originating with Bank of America. Bank of America will provide victims with two years of identity theft protection. (The Record)
A million pen tests show companies’ security postures are getting worse On Tuesday, analysis from 1 million pen tests revealed that data-exfiltration risk increased to an average score of 44 out of 100 in 2022, from an average risk score of 30 the prior year. This from a report from Cymulate, who said one key reason for the increased risk is attackers improving tactics to circumvent network and group policies. Additionally, the company found issues with patching hygiene, with four of the top-10 CVEs identified in customer environments being more than two years old. On a positive note, companies have improved malware detection across major platforms with many attacks being blocked by Web gateways. (Dark Reading)
Over 70% of employees keep work passwords on personal devices Roughly four out of five employees store sensitive work passwords on their personal phones, and 66% use their personal texting apps for work. This information comes from SlashNext’s latest mobile bring your own device (BYOD) security report, which also suggests 95% of security leaders are increasingly concerned about phishing attacks via private messaging apps. SlashNext CEO Patrick Harr suggests this is because threat actors know there are fewer security controls on personal mobile devices than on corporate ones. The report also highlights a mirrored trend with a majority (89%) of IT and security leaders acknowledging legal concerns about having access to employees’ private data. (InfoSecurity Magazine)

A bit stumped by this. Have tried everything I can think of with no success.
Default theme, mostly straight out of the box settings with very few customisations of any kind.
The only single place I am calling my fonts is via CSS (/src/css/custom.css), as so:
Yet all three of the fonts are loading twice. First, the files I have uploaded, and secondly a duplicate set of files in an /assets/ folder.

My Research Story - a brief summary of how I did my research, what it looked like for me, and stuff like that (1):
I got inspired to work in this field by reading a book by a famous professor and learned the basics and terms of what I'm dealing with. There was a quote within the book which 'set me off' to try to pursue through research. I obviously don't have graduate-level math or physics skills, so I went after things I understood better, essentially basic Statistics and Machine Learning. After reading many papers, I quickly noticed how little Machine Learning/Statistics is used in this particular field. This essentially allowed me to throw Statistics & ML at anything in that field and see what happens, a gold mine of opportunity for a high-schooler who doesn't know shit.
Paragraph TLDR: Got interested in the natural sciences, learned that there is a severe lack of ML in certain areas allowing even the most basic of Statistics and ML to be applied and results reported
After thinking as to what methods to try, I thought of how to approach this specific area of research differently using a method from finance, and sent 5 emails, one to each HYPSM (Looking back I should've sent more). Princeton was the first to respond and was actually the best university of the five for this field and my purposes. So I set up a call with the professor and discussed the plan of action and what I'd need from him. Because my research was essentially just analyzing data, I didn't need a lab. With the publicly available data I had, I worked every-day between 6am-9pm on this project. There were some food breaks, and reddit breaks (ok a lot), some days I'd forget to eat. Occasionally I'd ask my mentor where I can retrieve this data or that, and when I got some results I'd ask to schedule a meeting to discuss the results as well as what I should try next. Around August I had to wrap up to submit a paper (for the journals) and my abstract (for the conference).
Paragraph TLDR: Got in touch with Princeton, explained my approach in the field using a method from finance, worked my butt off to test various methods, submitted work to various journals and conferences.
Once I had done all this stuff, my mentor offered to help me meet with various professors (MIT, Yale, and Princeton to name a few) he was connected to, as well as connecting me to people he didn't know using other people's connections (Stanford, UIUC). I got 'advocates', people who I could present my research to and can vouch for my work if admissions call them when I mention them in my supplementals. (Examples for cold emails for getting these meetings with potential advocates are in section 3)
Paragraph TLDR: Presented my work to a number of professors, and with their permission, mentioned those professors in my supplementals as people I hope to work with in the future.
How I cold emailed to get a mentor - the only part you care about:
I highly advice sending emails at 10:00am (their time zone). That way there’s less of a chance it’ll get buried in their other emails.
When I wrote the emails, I didn't write write about what I wanted (i.e. how it would help me) I wrote about what might appeal to them. So rather than saying, 'Hey, I saw your work and I thought you might be able to help me by..' I thought to myself - Why should they help? They have valuable time, why should they waste it on me? So I did something more along the lines of:
'Hey, I saw your work about and I am curious as to whether trying this (thing) might increase (in my case, 'accuracy'), because of recent work done here (link) is there a time we could talk more about this?'
I think that's better. It's implied that by taking me on as a mentee (or as my parents called it, a coding gerbil) that I can help them by possibly improving/adding on to their work. I also didn't explicitly say that I wanted them to become my mentor, I was only asking for advice ;).
Paragraph TLDR: I didn't talk about myself, I talked about their work, and how my idea could help them. I also didn't explicitly ask for him to be my mentor, I asked for advice (later in the call he asked if I would want to work with him to pursue this idea) -- If this section isn't clear I will be happy to elaborate/edit on what I mean.

How I raised the money - the why, what, and how (2)

I went up to a few very notable investors from either venture capital or quant, and pitched my idea starting with the why, then the what, then the how. I got this advice from both the investors, and my dad because this is supposedly the 'correct' way to pitch products (according to them, don't kill me). I spent many weeks practicing the pitch, the tempo, and what to emphasize. In the PowerPoint slides describing my prosthetic project, I put many cycles into deciding what to add and what to remove in terms of text, images, and entire slides. (I also had tons of practice from presenting the research and just practicing on my parents) In the end, of the three investors I got connected to, one was interested and gave me the money I needed. As of now, I am working on this full time outside of school. I know this is short, so let me know what I should expand on.
Paragraph TLDR: Pitched Shark Tank Style to a few rich dudes, 1 rich dude invested, learned an overview of 'how to pitch correctly'. Start with the 'what', then the 'why' then the 'how'.

Final Notes - Some things that might have boosted my application (4)
As mentioned earlier, I presented my research to quite a few university professors. Besides being genuinely interested in showing my work to these professors, I also sent the admissions office a note after I submitted my early applications essentially saying that I corresponded with the professor(s). That way they'd have my name fresh in their head when reviewing my application. I don't know if it worked or not, but I do know one thing, some of these professors gave great advice as to how to apply. My Research Story - a brief summary of how I did my research, what it looked like for me, and stuff like that (1):
I got inspired to work in this field by reading a book by a famous professor and learned the basics and terms of what I'm dealing with. There was a quote within the book which 'set me off' to try to pursue through research. I obviously don't have graduate-level math or physics skills, so I went after things I understood better, essentially basic Statistics and Machine Learning. After reading many papers, I quickly noticed how little Machine Learning/Statistics is used in this particular field. This essentially allowed me to throw Statistics & ML at anything in that field and see what happens, a gold mine of opportunity for a high-schooler who doesn't know shit.
Paragraph TLDR: Got interested in the natural sciences, learned that there is a severe lack of ML in certain areas allowing even the most basic of Statistics and ML to be applied and results reported
After thinking as to what methods to try, I thought of how to approach this specific area of research differently using a method from finance, and sent 5 emails, one to each HYPSM (Looking back I should've sent more). Princeton was the first to respond and was actually the best university of the five for this field and my purposes. So I set up a call with the professor and discussed the plan of action and what I'd need from him. Because my research was essentially just analyzing data, I didn't need a lab. With the publicly available data I had, I worked every-day between 6am-9pm on this project. There were some food breaks, and reddit breaks (ok a lot), some days I'd forget to eat. Occasionally I'd ask my mentor where I can retrieve this data or that, and when I got some results I'd ask to schedule a meeting to discuss the results as well as what I should try next. Around August I had to wrap up to submit a paper (for the journals) and my abstract (for the conference).
Paragraph TLDR: Got in touch with Princeton, explained my approach in the field using a method from finance, worked my butt off to test various methods, submitted work to various journals and conferences.
Once I had done all this stuff, my mentor offered to help me meet with various professors (MIT, Yale, and Princeton to name a few) he was connected to, as well as connecting me to people he didn't know using other people's connections (Stanford, UIUC). I got 'advocates', people who I could present my research to and can vouch for my work if admissions call them when I mention them in my supplementals. (Examples for cold emails for getting these meetings with potential advocates are in section 3)
Paragraph TLDR: Presented my work to a number of professors, and with their permission, mentioned those professors in my supplementals as people I hope to work with in the future.
How I cold emailed to get a mentor - the only part you care about:
I highly advice sending emails at 10:00am (their time zone). That way there’s less of a chance it’ll get buried in their other emails.
When I wrote the emails, I didn't write write about what I wanted (i.e. how it would help me) I wrote about what might appeal to them. So rather than saying, 'Hey, I saw your work and I thought you might be able to help me by..' I thought to myself - Why should they help? They have valuable time, why should they waste it on me? So I did something more along the lines of:
'Hey, I saw your work about
I think that's better. It's implied that by taking me on as a mentee (or as my parents called it, a coding gerbil) that I can help them by possibly improving/adding on to their work. I also didn't explicitly say that I wanted them to become my mentor, I was only asking for advice ;).
Paragraph TLDR: I didn't talk about myself, I talked about their work, and how my idea could help them. I also didn't explicitly ask for him to be my mentor, I asked for advice (later in the call he asked if I would want to work with him to pursue this idea) -- If this section isn't clear I will be happy to elaborate/edit on what I mean.

How I raised the money - the why, what, and how (2)

I went up to a few very notable investors from either venture capital or quant, and pitched my idea starting with the why, then the what, then the how. I got this advice from both the investors, and my dad because this is supposedly the 'correct' way to pitch products (according to them, don't kill me). I spent many weeks practicing the pitch, the tempo, and what to emphasize. In the PowerPoint slides describing my prosthetic project, I put many cycles into deciding what to add and what to remove in terms of text, images, and entire slides. (I also had tons of practice from presenting the research and just practicing on my parents) In the end, of the three investors I got connected to, one was interested and gave me the money I needed. As of now, I am working on this full time outside of school. I know this is short, so let me know what I should expand on.
Paragraph TLDR: Pitched Shark Tank Style to a few rich dudes, 1 rich dude invested, learned an overview of 'how to pitch correctly'. Start with the 'what', then the 'why' then the 'how'.

As mentioned earlier, I presented my research to quite a few university professors. Besides being genuinely interested in showing my work to these professors, I also sent the admissions office a note after I submitted my early applications essentially saying that I corresponded with the professor(s). That way they'd have my name fresh in their head when reviewing my application. I don't know if it worked or not, but I do know one thing, some of these professors gave great advice as to how to apply. Particularly what the school values, as well as recommending interesting courses.

Rockstar Games can't release Grand Theft Auto VI fast enough, though as we eagerly (and impatiently) await for the next installment in the long-running GTA franchise, fan made trailers have us drooling at what the actual product could look like. The latest one comes from TeaserPlay, which used Unreal Engine 5 to render several different locations in stunning detail.
The actual game isn't likely to use UE5. Rumor has it that Rockstar Games is leaning on its own proprietary RAGE9 graphics engine, and that's both plausible and, in our opinion, very likely to be true. TeaserPlay acknowledges this in the description to its concept trailer, suggesting it wanted to render several possible locations in UE5 so we'd have something to compare with down the line.

There are a ton of leaks and rumors surrounding GTA 6. One of the more recent ones suggest there will be at least two playable protagonists, one of which is a Latina woman. The franchise hasn't featured a playable female character in a long time.
Rockstar Games has been rather short on details for the next installment, though it has at least confirmed that GTA 6 is in development.
"With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series," the devloper shared in a blog post last February. "With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered—and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway."
No release date has been mentioned, though Rockstar Games will share its next earnings report in early August. It's possible we will get an update at that time.
