Hi! So recently I watched the first three Scream movies and I really wanted to prepare a costume for this coming Halloween. I was curious if there were specific masks to buy that were better quality than others and what a reasonable price for them would be.
Also, I know of screamrobes on Instagram and I was wondering if anybody knew the general price of those robes. I'd like to put aside some money to purchase one.

In my past campaigns I've indulged occasional "weird episode" or arc. Last campaign there was a body-swap of a corporate retreat where all my players traded character sheets (stolen from TAZ), also while traveling through the Feywild, PCs found themselves turned into magical ponies and we spent a few sessions playing Tails from Equestria trying to escape Flutter Valley and return to the Material Plane.
I'm currently running a domain-hopping Ravenloft campaign and my monstrous party are going to find themselves suddenly turned into teens dressed up for a Halloween party (in costume as PC's), in Monster of the Week. I'm going to put together a groundhog day loop dealing with a spot similar to the Mystery Shack from "Gravity Falls," and setting up Bill Cipher as the big bad they need to take down. I've found some great homebrew statblocks for ol' eyeball, and the fight is slowly going to slam my PC's from MoTW back into 5e, but I think I need to push the 4th wall a little further.
I'd like to have some Legendary Actions that defy medium and game engine, or can change the language of the game we're playing. For example, the only concrete idea I've had is along the lines of Uno -- Skip or Reverse initiative, maybe even "Draw 4" (cards from their still-untouched Deck of Too Many Things). Other idea is swapping someone's d6(s) for the dice from a Betrayal game (which would be especially nasty for our Rogue).
I'd love to hear if anyone has done anything similar to blend whole-ass game genres in their combat, or if anyone has any ideas of other ridiculousness to throw in.
I am aware this whole idea could be "too much". But that's part of the fun, right?

I'm 26F, he's 25m, together 7 years.
So first. He has been very familiar with this girl around me, to the point where I get pushed out of conversation. We had a gathering at my house where they started discussing songs to be played at weddings -- I have no idea how this came up -- and his coworker (let's call her Sally) started talking about a particular Paul Simon song, saying how much it would mean for her and her dad to be together. I said nothing, because my dad is dead but she had no way of knowing that. However she kept pushing and finally I said my dad was dead so I wouldn't have a chance to enjoy a song with him (though that sounds a lot meaner than it actually was.) She apologized over and over but kept saying how she couldn't imagine not having her dad at her wedding... um, yeah, me too.
Then later we had another party, a Halloween party where we had a ton of people show up, like 40-5-0. Sally gets there and starts getting upset. She says her boyfriend doesn't want to drive her home so I say it's cool, they can just crash on our couch. Her boyfriend ends up leaving angry and she stays there, super drunk.
I decide I'll get her situated before returning to the party. Out of all the things happening I ask her what does she want to do: play beer pong, play Rock Band, play drinking card games, hang out? She says she wants to play a 1 player game on our extra video game setup in the basement. Ok, fine.
I get her set up on a 1 player game (just happens to be my boyfriend's weirdly obscure favorite game) and she sets her player name. As she does I say offhandedly (because I just want to get back to the party) "Oh, that's a cute name." Let's say the name is Polly.
She drunkenly says "Yeah, me and (OP's boyfriend) were talking about baby names, and we both thought Polly was cute for a girl."
Now. Wtf? I didn't make a big deal, I just told her to play her game. When I went back to my boyfriend he said "Are you seriously going to ruin this whole night?" Just because I asked about what Sally had said.
TL;DR
My boyfriend seems to have a relationship with his coworker and gets mad at me when I call him out.

I(31m) work at a movie theater while attended a local university (took me a while to figure out what to do with my life). Honestly, I have no idea where to start with this post. I’ve worked with Quincy (26M) for a year and half now and have accumulated so many stories about him, so this post might end up being a bit long. Just know that what I have posted isn't even a fraction of what he has done.
(Somewhat important information to have. I live in a very liberal city and the majority of the staff (including me) are openly LGBT+)

• For religious reasons says that he can't work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Has admitted to some of us that he doesn't want to work on weekends. He does go to church on Sunday but his church doesn't actually have restrictions about working on that day. When management even dares to asks if he would be willing to work on Friday or Saturday he claims they are trying to discriminate against him. He has come in to cover shifts on those days, though.
• Quincy forced management to have him work on Halloween. Our assistant manager was making the schedule in advance and asking staff if they planned on dressing up for Halloween. Quincy replied with, “It’s against my religion to celebrate Halloween.” Manager told him no problem and that she wouldn't schedule him. She wanted us to have a theme for our costumes, which is why she asked and was trying to give us advance notice. Quincy had a melt down and accused them of discrimination. He said that he couldn’t not schedule him because of his religion. Everyone pointed out that he wasn't scheduled that day because he didn’t want to wear a costume, and not because of his religion. He was still getting his 4 shifts that week. In the end he complained to HR and forced his way onto the schedule. It cause the whole schedule to be rearranged and a lot of people who were looking forward to working no longer were. He refused to help customers wearing costumes, and if someone said "Happy Halloween" he would tell them about how it was against his religion to celebrate it.
• He requested Christmas Eve and Christmas off for religious reasons and to go to dinner with his family. Nothing wrong with that. The week leading up to those days he complained nonstop about having to go to his sister’s house. His sister had just found out she had cancer and “she is going to ruin the whole mood and make this all about her.”
• Talks constantly about being "an upstanding Christian" but also talks about all the women he is sleeping with. The "cougar" he has living on his couch without his girlfriend (does he have one? Who knows?) knowing. Talked at length about the prostitutes' he has hired, and how he refuses to use condoms because he really wants to be a dad. Also makes a ton of sexual jokes that make a lot of our female staff uncomfortable.
• The Last of Us is a much beloved show (and game) among the staff and we talked about each show weekly. Episode 3 (ifykyk) was heavily talked about. Quincy (who knows nothing about the game) avoided all mention of it till he thought it was just him and one of our leads. He said that he found the episode disgusting and went on a small lecture about how the “lifestyle shown is a sin.” Lexie (21F) walked from out of the back when he said this and went “that’s hurtful.” Quincy sent that co-worker a text after work saying “Due to what happened today I do not believe we can be friends any longer. It would be against my morals and religion to continue talking to you. I will be blocking your number.” Should be noted that Quincy had a major crush on Lexie. She was the only person he was nice to. He no longer talks to her, barely looks her way when they work together, and just walks away if she gets mentioned in conversation. He stills talks to the other LGBTQIA people on our staff. He knows they are a part of the community. It is only Lexie he refuses to talk to for that reason.
• A couple of weeks ago a customer wrote a review about an employee being rude. The employee wasn’t named but we were all told about the review and immediately went “Oh, that had to be Quincy”. Our district manager saw the review and told our GM to follow up on it. So the customer was called and he described Quincy down to his glasses and freckles. It is Quincy’s first write up (amazingly) and won’t go on his record for more than a month, but we suspected he’d still get mad. When Quincy is in a bad mood he makes it everyone's problem so management waited till the end of his shift to talk to him. He had a meltdown. I could hear him yelling through the door to the back. The next time we worked together he said his reaction was our manager's fault for laughing (she got nervous when he started yelling and laughed a little). He now tells everyone that management is targeting him on purpose. His attitude is shitter than ever and if he is asked to do anything other than run concessions he will complain about it the rest of the day. (example: being asked to clean something before we open. He then talks about how he is the only one asked to clean).

Again, these are just a few things he has done. I have so many more stories. Most of the other stories have nothing to do with his religion. I only notice that it happen to be the theme of this post after I was done typing it. I would be glad to post more if anyone wants to hear them, like why management only has 3 people they feel comfortable scheduling him with.

I knew the heat beside me before I finished dreaming, and I knew the arms around me before my eyes opened. Maeve was huddled against me, nuzzled into my collar wool as she dozed. I dared not move, as I knew she had another hour or more before a full rest.
While planning my extraction, I felt her pull harder and take a deep breath, before opening her eyes.
"Good morning, handsome,"
"Good waking, little leafy green." Maeve pushed her face further into my mane at that. "I know you have a longer sleep than we do, please don't wake up on my account."
"It's ok, I'm doing this as much for me as for you," she whispered, as she pressed her lips to my shoulder.
Maeve pulled herself from me and stretched the length of the bed with a loud groan, before settling back against me on her side, and looked at me with a smile, "I'll be honest you are very comfortable, I could see this becoming a habit."
It was only then I noticed, to my horror, my tail had found its way between us. I hoped she didn't catch on to the implications of my tail curled around her foreleg, but my shaking reply left no questions. "I think I could be convinced."
We giggled to each other, while she reached over and started to idly scratch through the tuft on my chest, to my immense satisfaction. I could only see half of her face around the pillow, but the look from that gleaming green eye was the closest thing to 'predatory' I've ever seen from Maeve.
"Well!" Maeve said with a start, lifting her hand from me, "as lovely as this is, it's time to get up, and I wouldn't mind a snack. Do you still want to try the rec room for art supplies?"
"Oh that would be wonderful! My parents couldn't afford art classes, so I only had public events to really try it."
"You didn't have art in school?"
"Well no, we couldn't afford it, that's what I said."
"Sorry, that's not what I mean," Maeve clarified, muffled through her changing of clothes, "Ok, first off, do the Venlil have a concept of public schooling? Education of subjects deemed necessary, paid for by the state, and free to the parents?."
"Of course we do! You can't have modern civilization without everyone knowing the basics of things like math and science."
"Well for humans, several of those subjects are art."
My ears snapped forward, utterly surprised, "Really?? Why??" I asked as we left the room.
"I'll admit, it is relatively recent; for most of human history, several hundred thousand years at least, artistic expression was something that humans just did, without any assistance or education. There were earlier instances of art being treated like a trade, apprentice learning from journeymen, but I think the earliest examples of formal artistic education were in pre-Christian Rome, so that would be… 3, maybe 4 thousand years ago? At that time and for a long time after, artistic education was only taught to the elite. "That's incredible!" I exclaimed as we entered the Mess Hall, to the shock of several Venlil and a few humans nearby, "I mean, Maeve! Your people's warlike history is well documented; why, by the sun and stars, would artistic education be compulsory for a species at war?"
"Like I said, there's a lot of reasons" gathering our food, we found empty seats by the window, "In fact, one of those reasons is precisely to prevent war." My mouth hung agape as I nearly dropped my tray; settling in, Maeve now had my full attention.
"You remember what I said about humans feeling too much?" I did, and the reminder of last waking's events did not help my nerves, but I nodded and Maeve continued all the same between sips of what I now know was coffee, "Humans appear to have incredible impulse, or as the Venlil call it 'instinct', control because we have had to learn and develop effective ways to control it. One of the most effective of which is Expression; to put that emotion out of your body and into the world in some way."
Having finished our meal, we started toward the rec room, "True, this can manifest in… unkind ways such as posturing, fighting, or just yelling, but it can also be expressed in others such as running, talking with someone who listens, and, of course, artistic works."
"So we started to teach our children how to express their imagination and emotions in non-violent ways such as the Arts. Not everyone continues practicing, and very few find professional success, but every human knows enough to understand and participate." The door to the Rec Room slid open in front of us, "Here we are, Valek. You said you checked this out on the first day, so how about you give me the tour?"
It was a large room, about the same as the bathing room including the drying corridor. The walls were lined with full bookshelves, colored boxes, and several large viewing screens with comfortable seating. Several tables made up the interior, some with what appeared to be a Pad-mount attached to a keyboard; some designed for humans, some for Venlil. I saw several pairs already engaged in activities; a mixed group of six were seated and watching what appeared to be a world of cubes, and several pairs appeared to be using their pads together, though I couldn't tell what they were doing.
“I didn't have anyone to show me around last time, so I’m not sure what some of this is. Social media is pretty big on Venlil Prime, so I think these are to communicate with the herd," I said, motioning to the Pad-mounts. “It looks like Humans are as fond of reading as we are, judging by the bookshelves. But I’m not sure what that is,” motioning to the large displays, “I think they're watching a movie? I’ve never seen one like that, though.”
“Oh! They’re playing Minecraft. Interactive media, such as video games, are really big with humans. The one they’re playing is a little more than a hundred years old now, but it never lost its appeal.”
“You said it's interactive? How?”
“Oh you just use the controller to… wait… um…” She seemed to be trying to find out how to begin, “So you told me the Venlil have, like, shows and stuff right? Well, just like those shows take place in a False World where the actions of the actors influence change upon it, video games also take place in a false world. The difference is; your actions in the Real World are interpreted as actions in the False World; it’s like you, the player, are the actor in these shows.”
“That’s so cool! I’ll have to try that sometime.”
Maeve and I explored the room further, I was especially interested in their library; what kinds of stories would I see here? About to pull a large anthology book with what appeared to be a large human holding a lightning bolt, I heard Maeve call from the other corner.
“I think I found the art supplies! So when you did your community art, were you a paint guy or a chalk guy?”
“Oh, chalk please! Most of our public works are temporary, so using something that washes with the rain is very useful.” Their artistic education is complex enough to teach different mediums? Such classes are prohibitively expensive to have, and every human learns this??
“Well I don’t see chalk, but that tells me you prefer a dry medium, so let's try pencil and markers.” Maeve said as she pulled out sheets of paper and two buckets of what I assumed were the art supplies.
We spent the next entire claw working together, drawing what fit our fancy. Maeve told me about the forests of earth, and how her family used to go camping. She explained it was like leaving home, to make a new home, in a place where a home has no right to be. I was still wrapping my head around that when she told me about the clear skies, and how her family would stay up late to see the stars, and share ancient stories about their shapes.
We were silent for a moment while we worked, when I heard Maeve speak from beside me, “Are those your woods from back home?” she asked about my drawing, “It's so colorful! Are these broad colors typical of Venlil styles?”
To the human eye, my work appeared as large swathes of color, with vague shapes representing direction and shape, rather than form. Emotion mixed with reality to create something that gave an impression of overall calm and nostalgia over the representational work.
“I do often see something similar in the parks when others are being creative. I have seen some Venlil try a style that is more detailed, but I like to show what I feel rather than what I see.” I explained, while making another long streak of golden sunbeam.
Maeve asked about my home, and I told her how we lived in a traditional burrow-style house; not an actual burrow, it was above-ground, but it made use of smooth lines and soft corners to lend structural support, spreading more out than up. We still had a 2nd floor, which was where most of our living and sleeping space was, but it looked like barely a mound against the modern stem-style houses, which was what used to be my university apartment. I was just talking about the kitchen on the ground floor when I looked over at what Maeve was working on. To my surprise, she was making an incredibly life-like imagining of our kitchen. It wasn't perfect, our dishes never stacked that high, but this could absolutely be someone else’s kitchen.
“How did you draw that?” I asked, unbelieving.
Maeve giggled as I stared, and answered lightly, “I did a lot of things back home, either as work or hobby, and one of them was room concepts and architectural design. I followed your descriptions as best as I could, with some artistic flavor. Some older human cultures also had burrow homes, so I took ideas from that. What do you think?”
“It’s incredible! This could absolutely be someone's kitchen, though it isn't ours. You even have the berry field in the window!” I was so enthralled by the detail I was seeing, I didn’t notice Maeve’s hand reaching for the work. She pointed to two figures in frame: a Venlil with what was clearly my salt-and-pepper pattern and…
“I’ve given it some thought,” Maeve whispered beside me, “and I think, yes. I would like to keep doing this.”
My heart leapt with joy and and my tail thrashed behind me; if any attempt at subtlety was made I clearly ruined the secret. Maeve smiled broadly, hiding her teeth in a vain attempt to hide her quickly reddening cheeks. We quickly packed up our projects, and I saw Maeve making to throw them away! “What are you doing?”
“Oh, I was…” She paused, not truly having an answer. I walked over and gently, wordlessly, took the sketches from her hand, and filled the space with my own paw. The message received, we exited to the corridor. "You mentioned something about camping, what is that?"
Maeve paused in thought without breaking stride, then asked, "You mentioned your favorite place was taking the road between The Grove and University. If you had the chance to live there, for a few days or a week, would you?"
I thought about this. It's a beautiful place, and I would find great joy in staying there for a time. But I remembered the look of that predator, "No. I know, in my head, that the predators in that forest would leave us alone; I'm certain it would be fine. But no, I don't think I'm brave enough for it."
"It's ok, and I won't ask you to. But Humans would, though that doesn't say much for our judgment." she added with a chuckle, "Most humans live in cities. Massive places of steel and concrete with more people than plants. Just like cities on Venlil Prime, they are comfortable, safe, and good places to live; but humans are drawn instinctively to the natural world. Despite our industry, we have to see the Earth and its bounty, or we get out of sorts."
We had reached the room and, picking up on human mannerisms, I invited Maeve to enter first. "Thank you, my good sir." She said through a giggle, "anyway, because of this many humans will leave the city to live in nature for a while. We have a lot of ways to make it more or less comfortable, and the varied ecosphere on earth combined with our diurnal cycle means we have to be very prepared. Personally I prefer a tent, rain cover, and camp stove; but some people take as much as a rolling house, or as little as a sleeping bag."
Maeve sat down on a chair, and I on the bed as we continued talking, "do you hunt when you do this?" I asked.
Carefully, Maeve spoke in measured words, "Not always, and myself never; the vast majority of people bring food with them to eat as-is or cook on site. But yes, some humans do still hunt, kill, consume, and use the dead of wild creatures. But I'd like to point out it has been regulated in most countries for a few centuries now, and even more so in the last few decades. These days, only a couple thousand animals are killed annually due to hunting practices, worldwide. And, as we continue to become more prosperous, cede more of earth to nature, and find alternatives to killing, that number will continue dropping to almost nothing." she said, matter-of-factly.
"But why do you still hunt at all? If you can eat plants, have domesticated livestock, and can now print synthetic meat, why is that number not zero?"
"it is a part of our history, and our culture; such things are very difficult to unlearn. Also, we humans have assumed the responsibility to maintain the ecologies of our world. This is done in large part as penance for the damage we did during our colonial and industrial ages, but that sense of guardianship still carries on. Answering that question is pretty complicated, and I won't dance around the fact that controlled murder is a big part of it, do you want me to keep going?"
I will never be totally ready for frank discussions of murder, but I felt this was nothing compared to what we've already done. With a deep breath, I steeled myself and flicked an affirmation.
"Ok, this is a phenomenon we have seen nearly everywhere on Earth, but we are going to talk about Yellowstone National Park, specifically. Yellowstone is a large evergreen forest that is host to a huge variety of wildlife, but early in America's history, the colonists eradicated the local Wolf population. True we had domesticated wolves earlier, but not here, and these wolves were more harmful than helpful to the colonists, so they killed them. What followed was a process called a Trophic Cascade."
"Wolves were a natural predator of Deer, so without wolves to control their numbers, the deer population exploded. The deer over-grazed on many things, most especially tree saplings. Without saplings reaching maturity, the forest couldn't create new growth, and this reduced usable living space for many small herbivores; so things like squirrels and beavers left the area. Without these small herbivores, small carnivores like the fox left as well, which made very small omnivores, like mice, also explode in population. These mice over-hunted grubs, beetles, and other detritus-eaters, so the forest floor stopped getting new nutrients, which made all plants, including trees, even sicker. With trees dying faster and still not able to make new growth, because the deer were still a problem remember, their root systems became weaker, which could no longer hold the soil. "Yeah!" She confirmed, with just as much surprise as I had. "We tried a few things to help heal the damage: manually planting more trees, shoring up at risk earth, even controlled culls of wildlife; this is where most of our modern hunting practices came from. But no matter what humans did, we just couldn't keep up with the forces of nature. So, Occam's Razor, we decided to try the obvious option: put the wolves back into the forest, using the natives' local cousins from further north. And you know what?" I flicked my tail expectantly, both ears swiveled on Maeve, "It worked! The wolves hunted the deer to manageable numbers, the trees had a chance to grow, the small herbivores came back… a complete reversal of all the damage I mentioned. So now, the only species that have an overall open-season are invasive species, like the European Rabbit in Australia. Among humans, it is both illegal, and socially taboo, to kill wild animals without specific cause."
This was… a lot. All of this made sense on its own, it logically followed, but I couldn't wrap my head around how everything could be so connected. Predators kill! That's all they do! How could killing be a good thing? Finding my voice, I spoke up, "I won't pretend to know what this means. I cannot get it through that everything is so dependent on murder. But I know you've told me the truth as best as you know it, so I'll leave it alone. Can we talk about something else? You mentioned something about stories in the stars?"
"Oh absolutely!" Maeve seemed to glow with this topic, I loved seeing her so excited, "so humans have a day/night cycle, but some of us would have to keep watch during the night while others slept; so we learned to entertain ourselves by telling stories. At night, and before industrialization, our skies were brimming with stars! So we would see shapes in their patterns, and tell great stories about who they represented. There have been stories since before writing, so sadly most have been lost to history, but one story, Orion, is about-"

We shared a worried look, sharing an understanding of what prompted the summons. We would face it, together. We left the room and made our way to the elevator, mostly in silence. Sensing my worry, Maeve touched my shoulder, "It's ok, this will work out." I'm not sure I believed her. We stood apart in the elevator, and the distance felt cold. Walking down the hall of offices I felt more fear and anxiety than the past week, but I had to keep moving forward.
We reached the door, and as I reached for the handle, Maeve stopped me, and gently pulled me by the shoulder against her in a desperate embrace, as one would say goodbye. She whispered into my ear,
"Whatever happens in there, I want you to know I love you, Valek."
"I love you too, Maeve."

Hey, so I'm planning on buying a ghostface costume for Halloween this year. The one that fits my budget the best so far is the standard funworld costume. But I'm concerned that even the plus sized will be too short. It says it fits up to 6'2" and I'm a little over 6'3". Are there any taller fans that have experience with these?

Last weekend, my husband (27M) and I (30F) got married. It was a great wedding, and I had a great time leading up to it. There's been only one thing that's left a sour taste in my mouth.
Growing up, I always wanted a big princess wedding. I know some people see those as tacky and immature, but it was always my dream. As part of this, the theme for our wedding was "ballroom," and I told everyone to wear the nicest things they owned and told the women in particular to try to "outshine" me. I even went as far as telling the married women to wear their wedding dresses. I didn't care about being outdressed. Instead, all I wanted was to fulfill the aesthetic in my head that I had for the wedding, which included everyone else looking nothing less than extravagant. (And no, before people ask, I don't regret my decision. It was really special to see my mom, aunts, and bridesmaids, all in their own dresses on my big day. It kind of felt like they were passing the torch onto me and I really enjoyed the experience.)
Now on to my husband's friend. My husband has this friend I'll call "Kate" (27F). Kate is my husband's childhood friend and first love. My husband comes from a small town, and the majority of his friends he's known since adolescence. In their senior year of high school, Kate and my husband got engaged (which is kinda normal where they're from) but called off the wedding and never went through with it. It was mutual. They felt they were growing up too fast and wanted to slow down. The calling off the wedding was the end of the relationship, but they stayed friends. I knew this information prior to getting with my husband and never had a problem or felt jealous because I'm friends with a few exes myself. In fact, two of them were invited to our wedding. One was my bridesmaid (I'm bisexual) and the other was invited as a guest along with his current girlfriend.
I've never had a problem with Kate being my husband's ex but I have had a problem with Kate as a person as she's kind of bitchy and gossips like she's still in highschool. A few examples of this are just a month into our relationship she confessed to my husband she still had some lingering feelings to which he responded they had already tried that and it didn't work, if she brought it up again he would to cut her off out of respect for me. I wasn't that mad at the time, because I understood they had a long history and my relationship with him was just starting out, and she owed it to herself to see if there was anything still there before it was too late. However after she was turned down her attitude towards me changed to fake nice and started calling me things like cougar, or asking me how I expected to make a relationship work as I want to be an anesthesiologist which would require long hours, or telling my husband's whole friend group how she doesn't like my "loud" personality, and when I confronted her about all of those things she would say "oh it was just a joke" or "you're so loud I felt like you would just go off". There's more shit but if I typed it all, I would never get to the point.
Kate has her own husband I'll call Jarold. Kate and Jarold both make average in terms of finances as they are both teachers. Kate kindergarten and Jarold seniors. They got married last year. On a teachers salary Kate wasn't able to afford the most luxurious wedding dress out there, but I always had the impression she was happy with it. Kate does have another wedding dress from when she was going to marry my husband that her dad payed for (who has unfortunately passed now) which in terms of fanciness is a bit nicer, but obviously she didn't wear that dress to her own wedding.
I was expecting Kate to wear the wedding dress she wore to her own wedding to our wedding. But when I looked and saw her she had the wedding dress she was supposed to wear when she was getting married to my husband. When I saw her I immediately went "wtf" but decided to just drop it because I didn't want a conflict on our wedding day. My husband, however, was also confused on why she wore that one and asked her about it without me even having to tell him I was uncomfortable. She responded "well your wife wanted such a big princess wedding I thought I'd wear this one because it follows the theme more, don't tell me she's upset about it, she's the one who said come in you're nicest clothes and this is my nicest dress"
I feel like I'm not allowed to be upset even though I am, and I know this is my fault, but the whole thing has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would've never been okay with her wearing that one if I'd known she was going to, and I feel like she should've asked. I keep telling myself it's not that big of a deal, and during the daytime, when I'm distracted, I don't even think about it. But I've always been a night owl, and it makes me shitty every time I think about it before I fall asleep. So now I'm here complaining on reddit like a loser. I feel pathetic.
OOP ON WHY HER HUSBAND IS STILL FRIENDS WITH HER
Most of the stuff she did was at the beginning of our relationship (we've been together 5 years), which did leave to my husband having a talk with her about not being friends anymore. She said she was sorry she offended me and didn't realize I didn't have "their" (referring to his friend group) sense of humor. He said that maybe the things she says just aren't funny. And once she said that, it only reinforced his decision to cut her off because he said, "Even now you can't just say sorry." It's always I'm sorry, but..." which shows you aren't sincere. It was really awkward because she was friends with all his friends and we still saw her around but he would just hold my hand and ignore her. That lasted about a year until she got with "jarold" and she finally gave a sincere (or atleast what I thought was sincere) apology and said that she realized after getting with jarold who "is the love of her life" how upset she would've been if our roles were reversed and asked for another chance of us all being friends. Despite my better judgement, I agreed, and while the comments aren't so directly rude anymore, sometimes her tone towards me sounds like she thinks I'm dumb or I feel like there's a double meaning to her words. Ive noticed shes kind of a bitch to all their friends tho and they've just accepted it as a part of her personality. I've been feeling like I'm going crazy for a while because she hasn't said anything directly rude, but after reading these comments, I'm going to have a conversation with my husband about it tomorrow.

I did ask her that when I saw it the first time. She said she kept it because it was the last really nice thing her dad bought her before he passed. She was 19 when he died.

I've answered this twice in other comments. But basically I saw the highschool one in her closet once, we were invited to her wedding last year and I remember what her dress looked like not to mention we took a shit ton of photos, and three when my husband confronted her even if I hadn't realized it on my own I would realized it then.
Update March 14, 2023
Hello guys, here's the update. So I talked to my husband about it this morning, and when I brought it up, he immediately let out a sigh of relief. He said, "I didn't know how to bring it up because you didn't seem bothered, but when I saw her in that dress, I thought it was very weird she wore that one." He went on to say that he even considered asking her to leave because he thought it was rude but because I had no reaction to the dress he thought I either didn't care or didn't recognize it but either way if I wasn't bothered he didn't want to disturb my peace of mind by kicking her out. We discussed and he's going to have a talk with her, not just about the dress, but her treatment of me in general and explain that going forward she will not be a friend in our lives.
After this talk, I've decided to let it go and focus on my new marriage. This was a small thing, and now, after I've talked it out with my husband, I feel kind of silly I let it bother me this much. Im at peace she will no longer be in our lives and that's enough for me. Someone said you gave her the chance to wear the dress her dad got her and gave her a gift. That was kind of a "huh" moment for me because no matter what her intentions were, that is true, and I'm glad she got to have that moment.
End of update the rest of this is just answering questions and explaining what the wedding looked like.
A common asked question is how did we even know what the dress looked like. I said it a few times in comments, but I've seen it a couple of times before in her closet. Usually, when my husband's friend group hangs out, the guys all get ready at one of their places, and the girls get ready at one of our places. Then we all meet up to wherever we're going, whether that's a pub crawl, or a concert, or music festival, etc. Kate hosts pretty regularly, and It's during those times I've seen it in her closet while she looks for something to wear. And when she got married to Jarold she put her other wedding dress right next to the high school one. As for my husband, I asked him about that today, and he said when they broke up, Kate asked if he wanted to see the dress since there was no point in hiding it anymore and he said yes. And then when they told their friends the news the friends also wanted to see the dress so she put it on for them too.
On to pictures, I'm not going to post any, but I will explain how it looked for those of you who wanted to know.
So firstly lots of people showed up in wedding dresses and that was absolutely beautiful. One thing my friends from college did was do a fifties Marilyn Monroe type glam, and it was killer. One of the staff was able to find a red carpet and we took a bunch of black and white photos of them. I had about five girls wear their Quince dresses, which was GORGEOUS 😍 . Finally, some parents dressed their little girls up in actual princess costumes, which I thought was really cute. The guys also dressed really well too. One guy did a sequin tux. Quite a few went for a Rockstar type suit. My husband's best man went for this really gorgeous red velvet tux. And my dress was this really shimmery really poofy ballgown type dress with a flower design on the veil that I got custom made for me and then I had it designed where I could actually unattach the poofy part of the dress (for the reception) and then by doing that it turned into this long sleek white shimmery dress with a leg slit.

Cyber Pop: Straight outta Edgerunners, a female cyborg supersoldier. I'd make half her body metal, which would also work very nicely with her half eye.
Project: At some point she needs a project skin, she's just too good of a fit. Kinda similar to CP, but visually the two are distinguishable so I'd keep both.
Pentakill: I'm not sure if she needs an instrument to be in Pentakill or not, I just thought the aesthetics fit her nicely, plus her name is basically a synonym for Pentakill.
Sejuani
Sejuhoney: Riding a giant adorable bee.
Catjuani: Riding a giant adorable kitty.
Elderwood: Riding a giant - not necessarily adorable but more fantasy based forest creature.
High Noon: Riding a bull.
Senna
Buccaneer: Like Tristana's skin, but her cannon would bee a bit bigger. Actually, a lot bigger.
Broken Covenant: Similarly to the design of her base cannon, but with lots of stained glass.
Odyssey: Give Karma a giant laser cannon and it's done.
Pulsfire: Out of all, this is porbably the skin that would make the most out of her extraordinary firearm. Basically combine Pulsfire Riven's sword with Caitlyn's gun and make it even bigger and even techier.
Seraphine
Academy: She has the schoolgirl vibes, she might be part of a music clique or club.
Cafe Cuties: She has the vibes and the outfit also matches.
Crystal Rose: Something elegant but still light and pretty.
Goldenthroat: A DnD/Rift Quest skin, she is a perfect fit for a bard archytype, since their core theme is music and performing. Couldn't think of a better name rn.
Sett
Battle Wolf: He's more wolf than Sylas is, so he has a rightful place here. It's not like he doesn't belong here at all.
Battle Academia: Jayce type of pretty boy vibes is what I imagine.
El Lobo: If anyone, this man is a flawless fit for the Luchador skin line. Like that ultimate is a wrestler move already.
Super: A standard superstrength-punchy hero, works I reckon.
Cyber Pop: Remember Jax? No, not six-eyed Jax, the other Jax from Mortal Kombat. Thaaat Jax. Hell yeah.
Shaco
Devil: I'm not the first to come up with this idea, but it's truly not a bad one.
Omen of the Dark: You could do so many things with his mask here, but a basic plague doctor outfit would work perfectly fine too.
Blood Moon: He's an assassin so I don't need further reasons.
Surprise Party: He's a literal clown, I mean-
Fright Night: This is frankly less of a skin and more of a chance to redesign the character so it actually lives up to the "Demon Jester" title. Give me the Pennywise.
Shen
While looking for skins for this guy, I realised that he may have a simple-a$$ design, but unlike Garen, it's in a good way, because he literally works with almost any freaking skin line lmao. Well at least that's what I felt like. And here I thought I got a lot for Samira haha. This is probably the new record with 14 skin ideas.
Debonair: So Shen being an older male character who is a master with duty etc. gives me the feeling of respectfulness, politeness, elegance etc. so I think he fits the vibe of Debonair pretty well, not to mention that he would get to be in one skin group with Zed, which is nice. Besides, it couldn't hurt to bring forward that 'daddy' energy he has hidden inside. Not too much, just tastefully. All his skins go for the cool ninja fantasy, it's high time for a different approach. (But please don't make him younger like Yi, eugh.)
Chef: Not sure what cuisine to go for, I simply imagined him in a chef's hat crossing his arms holding two big knifes - his swords - to chop something up.
Gatekeeper: Based on his connection to the spirit realm, I thought this would be a fitting skin that does something similar.
Balance Dragon: He has some things in common with Lee - who has Storm Dragon - and in general I find this a great fit.
Battle Professor: Like Grave's skin. Again, being an older master character, he has no issue filling a teacheprofessor role.
Full Metal: Since he doesn't have a fully robotic skin yet, I chose one for him. Like Pantheon or Jayce, just with different weapons.
Weightless Sword: The Immortal Journey group, I find no reason why he wouldn't work here.
Warden: Full silver armor, like Karma but male. The name already describes Shen well.
Odyssey: Just to have a space skin too, let's add this to the list as well. In this universe I think of him kinda like Heimdall, only instead of teleporting you anywhere, he teleports anywhere where you are, to save you. Shen fits Heimdall's character and thus the skin line perfectly imo.
Project: Needs not much explanation, he isn't a bad pick here either.
Shen Hai Scrolls: I could say I chose this purely for the pun, but honestly I could also see this actually work.
Spirit Blossom: Not because it's a popular skin line, but because Shen does in fact fit here flawlessly. SB has eastern aesthetics and he is a a ninja from Ionia. No wonder it works.
Ruined/Sentinel: Both sound equally interesting to me, eg. what if Viego gained access to the Spirit Realm? If I was him, I'd definitely try to choose useful people to corrupt and in this sense, Shen sounds like a damn useful one.
Officer: Just a little fun skin a the end, I could easily imagine Shen as a cop, with the swords being a normal (L shaped, well sort of) and an extandable baton, and at the ultimate he comes at the aid of an ally, aka, a law abiding citizen and arrests the enemies for attempted murder.
Shyvana
Justicar: White dragon with golden eyes, horns and talons. Light effects for abilities.
Elderwood/Old God: Some kinda forest dragon. Leaves for scales, brances for horns.
Dark Star: Saw this concept already somewhere, but I also thought it'd be pretty cool. What I really like about this is that it would make Shyvana be on one level with A'sol, the fight of the two cosmic dragons, hell yeah.
Broken Covenant: Imagine a dragon version of BC Cho. Could be awesome as hell.
Hextech: She could have some kind of special interaction with the hextech drake, like a dance or something, that would be so fun.
Lunar Guardian: I'd aim for a look like that of Malphite and Kha'zix. Yellow, brown and cloudy effects.
Emberwing: The DnD/Rift Quest skin line cannot be complete without a dragon BBEG.
Dawn-/Nightbringer: Can't explain it in too much detail, but it'd surely have epic vfx.
Worldbreaker: A gigantic dragon could surely fill this title. I'd definitely try to go for something that I suggested with A'sol, when I mentioned Quetzalcoatle, so a feathered dragon in this case.
Singed
Arcanist: He'd use some kind of spell potion.
Monster Tamer: He'd have a pokémon-like monster attached to his back that breathes toxic gases.
Guardian of the Sands: A big broken hourglass and the trail is sand.
Botanist: Some kind of poisonous plant in a big glass jar.
Sion
Execusion(er): Just put a black mask on him and he already looks like an executioner.
Marauder: Kinda like alistar but with a different helmet.
Fright Night: Probably too similar to the executioner, but you could do a couple of things with this guy to make him even more horroristic, since he already has a good base for it.
Beast Hunter: He got the body and the weapon to be one.
Gentleman: Like with Cho, just for the fun.
Zombie: I mean technically he already is one, so just make him and his spell effects green, and change his axe for a yellow sign that says "Warning! Zombie outbreak"
Sivir
Pirate: Throwing the ship's steering wheel.
Broken Covenant: I'd go for the warrior nun vibe like with MF, and ephasise the cross pattern on her weapon plus add some stained glass to it.
Fright Night/Zombie Slayer: The core idea here, is a buzz saw, either skin could be good for it.
Pool Party/Ocean Song: Same thing as with Qiyana, pool floaty.
Skarner
Blackfrost: Natural pick.
Broken Covenant: Some similar to Cho level monstrous look.
Hextech: Not much to say.
Infernal: Fire scorpion.
Lunar Guardian: Something like Kha'zix.
Kaiju/Worldbreaker: Giant scorpion.
Prehistoric: I'm sure it can work somhow.
Toy: His features could easily be made into toy parts.
Sona
Arcana: Idk, just felt like it's aesthetic enough for her.
Cafe Cuties: She matches the vibe plus you could do a couple of things with her instrument like use it as a counter and put muffins on it or idk. Maybe that's stupid, just a thought.
Cosmic Symphony: I think it could work and she could have some really epic vfx.
Porcelain: Very nice and subtle, matches Sona. Also, would love to see her with a more dark blue hair like Lux.
SilentChord: Same idea as Sera's Goldenthroat.
Soraka
Heartseeker: Just a good match.
Crystal Rose: Same.
Lunar Empress: Same.
SolaLunar Eclipse: She already has both Dawn- and Nightbringer, but her cosmic theme makes this fit her well too.
Cosmic Savior: Similar, but really just cosmic and not sun/moon themed.
Elderwood: Leans more into her fanatsy appearance and further emphasises it.
Pure Phoenix: Like Graceful Phoenix Sera, I thought it's a good fit. Besides a p's tear heals, doesn't it? Or is that only a thing in HP?
Order of the Lotus: Haven't used this skin line before so why not, but it's matches anyways, it's a bit like Spirit Blossom.
Ambulance: The best and funniest skin she could have, this is kinda her meme already, well, other than banana. Ambulance outfit, siren light and sound effect when she runs towards a low health ally.
Swain
Headmaster: Same as with Shen, an older character so he fits the role perfectly. I imagine a magical school that he leads and his ravens are owls instead. Think of it as if Lucius Malfoy was the headmaster of Hogwarts, with his personal owls.
Crime City Nightmare: The usual maffia boss thing, which suits him very well.
Elderwood: Would concentrate more on the birds and attach a forest theme through them.
Dreadnova: Dictator of a space nation.
Sylas
Guardian of the Sands: I think he would work in a shuriman/desert outfit and the golden chains fit that region too.
Hextech: He doesn't have a techy robotic skin yet besides Project so I chose this.
Infernal: Flaming chains.
Marauder: A more rough, armored look. Might add some spikes to the chains.
Ruined: Lore-wise I think it would be an interesting combo, because he's a key figure in Demacia.
Syndra
Pirate: Her balls are cannon balls.
Battle Boss: She easily fits this final arcade boss vibe.
Arcanist: A more mage look, something like Ziggs, who's bombs' design also work for her.
Beendra: The balls are cute round bees.
Cafe Cuties: She may not be the same kinda cutie as the others, but you can make the balls into teapots are some kinda sweets even.
Infernal: Fireballs.
Coven: Probably the best fit for her.
Dark Star: Although this one's close too, cause you can make the balls into black holes.
Fright Night: Eyeballs.
Space Groove: A more colourful, fun skin. Could just make her balls some of those bright orange jelly orbs.
Sugar Rush: Ice cream or just cherries, anything that's round and sweet.
