2023.03.31 08:20 drail84 Do I die on this hill?

I am in a partnership where I am the minority partner; the other two partners are equal shareholders in the business.
We recently made some adjustments to our menu; we are a restaurant. Now, I am the chef of the restaurant and have full autonomy of the menu. After consistent mentioning of wanting to change up the menu, I agreed after slower season had arrived and we accumulated some stronger staff.
We removed 4 items that have been on the menu for a lengthy period of time and added 6 new and fun dishes. Here’s where the issue arises. Of the 4 items removed 2 where mistakenly not edited out…and subsequently 2 new items not edited in. The decision was made (2/3) we wouldn’t reprint the menu, but have staff articulate the two items, we’ll call them A&B, are no longer on the menu, and are being substituted for, X,Y.
Well, there had been some feedback stating the customers were upset as they really loved item A and are upset it’s no longer available. I received this feed back and sympathize, and I too can understand being frustrated when I see item A in a menu and am told it’s unavailable ( it was also not changed in our website or online ordering services). Jump to today, 3 months later; I receive a semi aggressive text saying how they’ve been getting hundreds of complaints about item A being available ( oddly only the two partners get these and other management has had minimal negative feedback) and I need to add them back asap and also replacement item X isn’t good. I calmly respond asking if we can wait until the proper menu is printed and then reevaluated once it’s no longer being presented as an option. Well, rbis isn’t an option, to them I’m driving away all these amazing customers and selfishly not caring about our guests. Look, I never held onto to a item that’s not enjoyed, what’s the point? But this item has not had negative feedback and is competing with an item that’s no longer available. In hindsight I should have pulled the new items once i learned of the menu mistake, but it was a lot of working parts and development put into these dishes. Anyway, I’m ready to fight tooth and nail…am I dying on the wrong hill?

What You Get Phase 0) Digital Economics 101 The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date. This is an onboarding module that will get you up to speed so we can get straight into the material. This will be required to finish before the start date.
  • Gain a deep understanding of all of the pieces in the digital economy.
  • Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
  • Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with *what will sell.*You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity.
  • Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
  • Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
  • Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. **That they are congruent with and trust.**It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is:
  • Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
  • Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
  • Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
  • Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
  • Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge (that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level (no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works.
  • Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
  • Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
  • Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
  • Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way).
  • Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
  • Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
  • Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan.***And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days.***That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work.

Four Part Harmony
The haunted Heinrosch Bardic College was built more than sixty years ago. It is as much a monument to the ambitions and ego of Mikolaj Heinrosch as it is an academy. With wealth earned through years of adventuring, he retired and turned his hand to composing music—and indeed achieved some minor repute in that realm, with a handful of his compositions occasionally (okay, once) mentioned among those of the great composers. Not content with the “minor” part of “minor repute,” or the fact that he was only once mentioned among the greats, Heinrosch hired gnomish architects and inventors to design an institute that would elevate his bardic legacy. Alas, Heinrosch died before the college ever became successful, and the institution folded abruptly after his demise.
A few days ago, A collector named Baron Alfon hired you to recover any Heinrosch memorabilia from the college grounds. He knows that much of it has likely been pilfered by bandits, but he hopes that something of interest remains. He offerd you 50 gp for each piece of Heinrosch memorabilia delivered, but it might be more than you bargained for!
Come and Join us on this musical high fantasy adventure!

2023.03.31 08:18 AgentWowza Ordering a to-do list.

Hey yall, I'm a newb, I've just finished my yellow science factory and my only extraterrestrial experience is a small titanium farm on the closest planet.
I'm at the point where everything I need to do seems really hard and time consuming so I thought I'd ask for advice on what to do first to speed that process up.

CONTEXT

TO-DO LIST

This is the part I'd appreciate if you guys could put it in order.
A) Automate mk3 belts and sorters.
B) Automate some other building (PLS maybe? Vessels, drones and bots?)
C) Automate mk3 proliferator.
D) Amp up existing mk2 proliferation.
E) Automate deuteron rods.
F) Something completely else that I'm missing.
Issue is, a lot of stuff at this point needs sulfuric acid (which means more hydrogen to deal with) and EM turbines, so I'm not sure if I should be making a factory for each building, or making a factory for intermediaries like EM turbines and using logistics to ship it to wherever it's needed.
Thanks for the help!

2023.03.31 08:18 stephygrl DSP advice - unusual predicament

Sorry about another DSP post but my situation is quite unique so I couldn’t find advice that directly applied to me. I’m going to try and summarise the last 3 years of my life is as best I can.
Prior to June 2020 I was a young, happy and fairly healthy person in my late 20’s working full time as a teacher (and loving it). I ended up getting a stomach infection called helicobacter pylori (which I’d had before) and needed antibiotics to treat it. At that time I had believed I was allergic to penicillin so part of the treatment involved flagyl a very strong antibiotic in its place. I took the antibiotics as prescribed for 7 days and basically over that 7 days my entire life imploded.
The first symptoms started whilst still taking the medication: migraine with aura, pins and needles in extremities, foggy feeling, anxiety, insomnia mostly. I called the doctor on day 7 knowing something really wasn’t right and she advised me to cease the medication immediately.
Over the next week instead of things improving they worsened. My vision went blurry, I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t regulate my body temperature, I had migraines, I couldn’t sleep properly and during the night I woke up in complete terror feeling like someone was drilling into my skull.
Terrified, I presented to the ED where I was basically just treated for a migraine despite the numerous times I told them I had a lot of symptoms and it was only since taking the medication. I was given an anti psychotic medication used to treat migraines through an IV. My BP ended up dropping very low and I started to feel what I can only describe as these feelings of doom and dread. I ended up fainting trying to get to the toilet and shaking, when I came to I had urinated myself.
The next night after coming home from the hospital the psychiatric symptoms from hell began. Things I don’t even have words for. A very deep and intense feeling of doom and dread came over me, a feeling so intense it felt like I was about to be murdered. I could not calm myself down. By the next day I was in full blown physical terror. I had non stop adrenaline rushes, sound sensitivity, light sensitivity, the feelings of colours looking ‘wrong’, I was met with sheer panic trying to simply go for a walk, I was met with doom simply being in my own lounge room, I suddenly lacked the cognitive faculties to make breakfast, I couldn’t be alone and I could not stop crying. I’ve never been more terrified in my life.
I’m going to speed up over the next part of the story but basically doctors didn’t do much, didn’t really acknowledge what was happening to me and treated me with more drugs. It was not until I looked online that I found resources and an online community suffering something called flagyl toxicity; all with matching symptoms to mine. I was prescribed an SSRI which made me worse (gave me insomnia and a agitation on top of the other symptoms), I was then given STILNOX which didn’t work and then put on nightly Ativan and intermittent Valium. I was a shell of my former self and eventually had to leave my job 4 months later as we transitioned from online learning back to school.
After continuing to decline and not understanding why 10 months later I stumbled on a forum discussing the dangers of being on benzodiazepines long term. It clicked that the benzos I had been prescribed had been making me sicker and sicker. By this time, I was scared of lights, faces, sounds and leaving the house. The doctor was pretty clueless about getting me off slowly and safely, but worked in conjunction with me to create a taper plan, using an online manual written by professor Ashton, a gov organisation called reconnexion and a compounding pharmacy I tapered off over three months.
I wish I could say that was it and things got better but they haven’t yet. There is a community full of people suffering from harm caused by medications, specifically an epidemic of people harmed by benzos. But this is not recognised and there isn’t much help, support or acknowledgement. There is no set time frame to healing. I want to believe I still can heal. I am young, have a career and everything to live for. I am just waiting.
I have been off all meds since June 2021. I had to take a very big dose of antibiotics last year to get rid of that h pylori infection once and for all, but it really set me back as my nervous system is very fragile now - a common theme in the benzo recovery community.
Since my setback I actually became anaemic and had to have an iron transfusion, I’ve also developed PMDD and OCD.
In regards to treatment; I have seen every specialist western and other you can think of. Psychiatrists, doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, naturopaths, nutritionists, Chinese med doctors, hypnotherapists etc. Some were helpful, many of the western practitioners gaslighted me. It’s traumatic enough going through this, but being gaslighted on top. I wouldn’t wish this hell on anyone.
I applied for job seeker at the time I had to leave my job, but was not granted it immediately b/c I had too much in savings. So I lived off my savings until I believe January 2021 when the payments finally started. Since then I have had medical exemptions every 3 months. At one stage Centrelink randomly decided I could work, I appealed this and received an Esat(I think that’s the name) to which a lady granted me 6 months exemption as part of overturning the decision. I’ve only been told recently that I can’t claim exemptions for longer than 2 years, that my condition is now considered permanent and I must apply for DSP.
I just asked the doctor who has written my certificates for two years to do a medical report and basically it’s a load of crap and setting me up for failure. The problem is that BIND (benzodiazepine induced neurological dysfunction) is only in the process of being approved as a diagnosis and a doctor openly admitting I was harmed by meds on a form is not that easy to obtain. However, this current doc was putting the reaction on my exemptions.
I also have a clinical psychologist I’ve seen for 12 years who says she will help me do the application. I’ve read over the table for mental health alone and I am more than matched with the elements of the ‘severe’ table.
Is it worth changing to a better doctor and telling her my story? I have an exemption until June so a little bit of time to prepare.
Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading of you made it this far.

2023.03.31 08:17 DevilishlyDrako Application duration? Fields during or after BPA?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I am in the testing phase of my application so I have a long ways to go until I am selected and hired. About how long is the waiting process? I have heard several different lengths of time ranging from a couple of weeks/months to 2 years before you're standing in basic. Any clarification from BPA's?
Second, this is even further out of the way, what opens up to me after becoming a BPA? What paths are available? Are there unique job opportunities available that promote from within? Will my experience be worth anything if I decide to do 20 and get out?
A lot of questions, I know. Just curious about the whole process and if becoming an agent would translate into anything in the future, or if that part is entirely up to me. Thank guys, appreciate the input.

2023.03.31 08:17 Frog_Thor Grand Finale for the Bowl of Judgement Grand Tournament

Grand Finale for the Bowl of Judgement Grand Tournament
Hello all,
My players have been in Ank'Harel for a few sessions now and have been exploring the city and trying to take in all that it has to offer. I have seen many great sidequest ideas, and one that is touched on in the module but isn't really elaborated on is the Grand Tournament at the Bowl of Judgement. All it mentions is
"At each competition, spectators wager on who will be the winner of the upcoming match. Anyone who can pay the entry fee of 20 gp can sign up to compete. Although most bouts end with one participant yielding or falling unconscious, death is always a possible outcome in the Bowl of Judgment."
I wanted to spice things up a bit and make it so it was more of a party event, while also playing off of one of the parts of the Dungeons and Dragons movie; The Maze (note: I have not seen it yet, what I built was simply inspired by the trailers).
I have included the map I built, as well as a labeled version detailing all the traps, creatures, and loots that I put in the maze. Please feel free to use the map, and make it yours. If you do run it, I would love to hear about it in the comments. So without further ado, the map.
43 x 72
https://preview.redd.it/i59p3wkcg0ra1.png?width=2452&format=png&auto=webp&s=86f8df9d52f1a8ff56d73fb5cc8020f585c87194
General Notes: All characters were stripped of their weapons and magic items, and safely stored in lockboxes before heading into the maze, the only thing they were allowed to keep was their armor.
All of the 1 tile alcoves contain chests. Most contained loot (+1 weapons, healing potions, non-attunement magic items, etc), some were mimics.
Monsters roamed the maze. The monsters I used were displacer beasts and a homebrewed Ram-Lion creature (CR 4). I tried to put them at intersections and areas of the map I expect heavy traffic.
3 parties ran through the maze at once. The PC party, the rival party, and for fun, the D&D movie party (their stat blocks are currently available for free on DnD Beyond)
At the start each party rolled initiative and we used the party's overall average for the teams initiative count.
On their turn, when not fighting a creature, the party had 3 options:
Dash, move twice the parties average movement speed forward down a chosen path blindly, only stopping to ask them for a direction if they came to a fork. The path they travelled was illuminated after they stopped;
Perceive and Move, Illuminate the chosen path for the party while they move the parties average movement speed and calling out anything the notice with their perception roll;
Chest Interact, Party opens a nearby chest and then proceeds done a path, only illuminating forks until they came to a stop where the rest of their path was illuminated. They were also allowed to make a perception check t disadvantage to notice anything on this turn.
Now for the numbered locations
1: The starting point. The parties were randomly assigned to left, middle, and right side
2: "Treasure Room". 3 chests sit in this room, 2 are mimics, the other held a high value item, for me it was 2 Greater Healing Potions.
3: Chain Behir Corridor. A chained up Behir waited down this corridor and would charge at any group that ran in front of it. The chains stopped it 5 feet past the end of the corridor. The idea was to push them into the large open area where the real danger was waiting. If they stayed in its view, it would use its lightning breath.
4: The Wide Expanse. The chest in here held a "Glove of Blasting" (same as a circlet of blasting but with 2 charges). This area also contained many traps. The center was quicksand, along the left most wall were pit traps, and in the bottom right was a flamethrower, DC14 Dex 4d10 fire damage, half on a success. A switch to deactivate the flamethrower was on the right wall as well, feet in front of the end of the flamethrowers reach.
5: Glyph of Warding - Rime's Binding Ice. DC14, pointing straight down and triggers when a humanoid runs past. Meant to slow the group down.
6: Pit Trap. This 1x2 pit trap guarded another 2 more Greater Healing Potions.
7: Gelatinous Wall. Players could attempt to move through this section of the wall by making a DC12 strength check, losing 20 feet of movement for the round and taking 3d6 acid damage.
8: Black cloud. This hallway was contained a thick cloud of smoke that totally obscured vision (even darkvision) and acted similar to stinking cloud DC14, except caused heavy coughing instead.
9: Glyph of Warding - Hypnotic Pattern. DC14, triggered when a humanoid entered the area. Was meant to make the party sitting ducks for the Ram-Lion creature.
10: Glyph of Warding: Entangle. DC 14, increased cube radius to 25 feet with the center at the end of the wall, Again, intended to slow down the party.
11: The Finish Line. The first group to make it to the end is crown the winners of the Grand Tournament, winning 5,000 Gold and glory throughout Ank'Harel.
Participants must return all items found within the maze, and all items are return to the players after the tournament. I hope you enjoy.

2023.03.31 08:17 antdbAsiaInfo The Memory Structure of AntDB-M’s Design

The Memory Structure of AntDB-M’s Design
AntDB database was started in 2008. On the core system of operators, AntDB provides online services for more than 1 billion users in 24 provinces across the country. With product features such as high performance, elastic expansion and high reliability, AntDB database can process one million core communications transactions per second at peak, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the system for nearly ten years, and is successfully implemented for commercial purpose in communication, finance, transportation, energy, Internet of Things and other industries. AntDB-M (AntDB in-memory engine) has such an efficient performance, which is inseparable from its excellent memory structure design, and this paper focuses on the memory structure design of AntDB-M.

Overview

AntDB-M is an OLTP database running in all-memory state, and its data is managed in table units through tablespaces. The storage is divided into two forms: 1) in-memory state; 2) file state. The file state is the serialized export file of the in-memory state, and the tablespaces in the latter part refer to the in-memory state.

Tablespace

A tablespace represents the memory space where a table's data is stored. Each table has its own separate tablespace. The tablespace is created when the table is created, or when the service starts loading the table. The structure of a tablespace is a three-level structure with two parts: 1) tablespace metadata; 2) tablespace data blocks;

Three-level structure

The memory structure of a tablespace is a three-level structure: 1) primary addresses, 2) secondary addresses, and 3) data blocks; with this structure, each tablespace can hold as many as 20 trillion records.
Number of records = primary address * secondary address * number of data block records = 32K * 32K * 2K = 20 trillion records;

Figure 1: Tablespace three-level structure

Tablespace metadata

The tablespace metadata describes the size information of the current space and the two-level address information of the table data recorded in the data block. It is used for the management of the tablespace data and for efficient access to the table data. In the three-level structure of tablespace, the first two levels belong to metadata, and the structure is relatively simple, which stores the address information of the next level.

Tablespace data blocks

A tablespace data block is used to store table data. The structure of the data block implementation is a two-way linked table. Each data block is divided into two parts: 1) metadata and 2) data space;

Metadata

The metadata is the management information of the current data block, mainly including: the current data block size, the number of assignable data records, the range of allocated record object IDs, and other information. It should be noted that the size of the data block and the number of assignable data records are not fixed, but are calculated based on the actual size of the table records and some additional data when the table is created.

Data space

The data space is the actual address space allocated for storing table data, and each data space is a contiguous address space. The data space size is divided into 9 classes according to the row size: 256K, 512K, 1M, 2M, 4M, 8M, 16, 32M, 64M. Allocation is based on the fact that each data space can hold 2K~4K records. When the record length is less than 128B, the number of records may exceed 4K.
Data space size = block metadata size + number of records held by a data block* size of table record row(with extension information)

Figure 2: Row record format

Record number

Each record has its own unique number, which is assigned at the time of data insertion. Data is inserted not simply by appending, but by finding a free spot in the data space to insert. Data is also queried, modified, and deleted based on the record number to quickly locate the data. Each free location number is unique. Each data block records the current free location, and these free locations do not require additional space to be recorded. The space that would otherwise be used to store records is used to record the free record location information before the data space within the data block is allocated to a specific record. This free location information is a simple two-way linked table that concatenates all free locations. Each row of records in the tablespace thus has a unique number, which allows the block to be quickly located, as well as the address within the block.

Figure 3: Data block structure diagram

Relationship between record number and record address

The record number can obtain the actual record address by simple calculation.

Figure 4: Relationship between record number and record address

Creation of data blocks

Data blocks are created on demand when data is inserted, updated (record redo records), and when data is loaded into memory by service startup. When data changes require the creation of a data block, only one data block is requested at a time, and the data blocks request their creation in bulk (one at a time) when data is loaded based on the number of data blocks currently required.

Release of data blocks

After a tablespace is created, the tablespace (including metadata and data blocks) is freed only when the table is dropped or truncated. When a table is renamed, only the metadata related to the table is modified and the tablespace remains unchanged.

Memory management

Memory management of tablespaces is divided into two types: 1) data blocks, and 2) non-data blocks. Different types of memory management can provide a more efficient way to manage memory according to its size.
Memory allocation is divided into two types: 1) memory, and 2) memory mapping;
- Memory, i.e., allocating memory directly from RAM.
- Memory mapping, i.e., mapping to file by pmap, which is only used for data blocks of very large tables (the very large table option is set when building the table), but all other uses the "in-memory" method.
The "memory" allocation is also divided into two strategies: 1) RAM; 2) PMEM; where the "PMEM" strategy is only applicable to hardware environments with Intel Athon persistent memory devices installed. Select the tablespace allocation policy during table creation, and the default policy is "RAM".

Overflow column

The records in the data space are fixed-length records. For variable-length type columns, the data is not stored in the record, and only the data length and the actual location of the data are recorded in the record. For overflow column data, there is a separate memory space to store and manage, so we will not expand the explanation here.

Table indexes are classified as hash indexes and btree indexes. Both types of indexes have their own separate memory space. Here we do not expand the description.

Conclusion

AntDB-M lays a solid foundation for overall high performance through its simple and efficient memory structure design. With a small amount of memory, it supports more data records. It allows users to support more business with less cost.

2023.03.31 08:13 manusiapurba ChatGPT got my back when nobody else is

ChatGPT advices are so INFP-friendly, yall. Ya might want to use it when you have problems about maintaining our Fi, too.
Sharing my session with it, in case it also inspires you

how to stay focus even when you're not optimistic with the chance of success

Staying focused when you're feeling pessimistic about the chance of success can be challenging, but it's not impossible. Here are some tips that may help:
  1. Break tasks into smaller, manageable chunks: If you're feeling overwhelmed by a large task, break it down into smaller, more manageable parts. This can make the task feel less daunting and help you stay focused.
  2. Set realistic goals: Set goals that are achievable and realistic, even if they are smaller than your ultimate vision. This can help you maintain motivation and build momentum towards your larger goals.
  3. Eliminate distractions: Minimize distractions as much as possible by turning off your phone or logging out of social media. This will help you stay focused and avoid getting sidetracked.
  4. Take breaks: Take short breaks every 30-60 minutes to refresh your mind and recharge your energy. This can help you stay focused and avoid burnout.
  5. Stay positive: It's important to maintain a positive attitude, even when you're feeling pessimistic about your chances of success. Remember to focus on your progress, no matter how small, and celebrate your achievements along the way.

Remember that success takes time and effort, and setbacks are a natural part of the process. Stay focused, stay positive, and keep moving forward, and you will be one step closer to achieving your goals.

What if the realistic goal doesn't motivate me?

If your current goal doesn't motivate you, it's possible that it's not the right goal for you. It's important to set goals that are meaningful and inspiring to you, as these are the goals that will motivate you to take action and stay focused.
To identify more motivating goals, take some time to reflect on what's important to you, what you're passionate about, and what you want to achieve in your life. Consider what you want to be known for, what kind of impact you want to make in the world, and what kind of legacy you want to leave behind.
Once you have a better idea of what motivates you, set goals that align with your values and aspirations. These goals should be challenging but achievable, and should stretch you to grow and develop in new ways.
Remember that it's okay to adjust your goals over time as your interests and priorities change. Stay flexible, stay open to new opportunities, and stay true to what truly motivates and inspires you.

Okay, thank you

You're welcome! Remember, setting goals can be a process of trial and error, and it's okay if you don't get it right the first time. Keep exploring what motivates and inspires you, and don't be afraid to adjust your goals as needed. With persistence and a positive attitude, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

I think even if I fail this one too, it would still be precious experience in "how to follow complex submission format" exercise so it won't be a waste in long term

That's a great perspective to have! Every experience, whether it leads to success or failure, can be valuable in its own way. Failure can teach us important lessons and help us grow and develop, both personally and professionally. It can also help us build resilience and learn how to handle adversity.
It's important to remember that failure is not a reflection of your worth or abilities. It's simply a natural part of the learning process, and an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. By focusing on what you can learn from the experience, you can turn any setback into a valuable opportunity for growth and development.
So even if you don't achieve your immediate goal, you can still gain valuable experience that will serve you well in the future. Keep a positive attitude, stay focused on your long-term goals, and remember that every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow.

You got a point, okay then I'm more motivated to do it

That's great to hear! I'm glad I could help you feel more motivated. Remember that motivation can come and go, so it's important to keep reminding yourself of your goals and why they are important to you. Stay focused, stay positive, and keep taking action towards your goals, and you will see progress over time. Good luck with your project!

it is ok to not be discouraged by consecutive failures, right?

Yes, it's absolutely okay to not be discouraged by consecutive failures. In fact, many successful people have experienced multiple failures before achieving success.
It's important to remember that failure is a natural part of the learning process, and it's not a reflection of your worth or abilities. Instead of letting failure discourage you, try to view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Analyze what went wrong, identify areas for improvement, and use that knowledge to make adjustments and keep moving forward.
Remember that success takes time and effort, and setbacks are a natural part of the process. Don't be too hard on yourself, and don't give up on your goals just because you experience a setback or two. Stay focused, stay positive, and keep taking action towards your goals, and you will eventually achieve success.

I do feel worthless when I felt like I could do it, then I fail

It's completely normal to feel discouraged and disappointed when you experience failure, especially if you were feeling confident before. But it's important to remember that failure is not a reflection of your worth or abilities.
It's important to practice self-compassion and be kind to yourself when you experience setbacks. Instead of focusing on what went wrong, try to focus on what you can learn from the experience and how you can use that knowledge to improve.
Remember that everyone experiences failure at some point, and it's not a sign of weakness or incompetence. In fact, failure can be a powerful teacher, helping us to learn important lessons and develop new skills.
So don't let failure define you or make you feel worthless. Stay positive, stay focused on your goals, and keep taking action towards achieving them. With persistence and a positive attitude, you can overcome any setback and achieve great things.

what should I base my worth on, then?

Your worth as a person should not be based on external factors such as success, achievements, or material possessions. Instead, it should be based on your inherent value as a human being. You are valuable simply because you exist, and you have unique qualities and strengths that make you who you are.
It's important to practice self-compassion and treat yourself with kindness and respect, even when you experience setbacks or failures. Recognize that everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and that it's natural to make mistakes or experience difficulties at times.
Instead of basing your worth on external factors, focus on developing your personal values, such as kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity. Cultivate positive relationships with others, engage in activities that bring you joy and fulfillment, and pursue goals that are meaningful and inspiring to you.
Remember that your worth as a person is not determined by external factors, and that you are valuable simply because you are you. Focus on being kind to yourself, cultivating positive relationships, and living a life that aligns with your personal values and aspirations.

Thank you

You're welcome! Remember to always be kind to yourself and focus on your own self-worth and inner values, and you will be able to navigate through the ups and downs of life with more resilience and self-confidence.

Yeah, you're right, I'll keep trying. Maybe being resilient is a good thing on its own?

Absolutely! Resilience is a valuable quality that can help you navigate through life's challenges and bounce back from setbacks. It allows you to adapt to change, manage stress, and maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.
Resilience is not just about "toughing it out" or ignoring difficult emotions. It's about acknowledging your feelings and experiences, but also recognizing that you have the strength and ability to cope and overcome challenges. It involves developing skills such as problem-solving, communication, and self-care, as well as building a strong support network of friends, family, and professionals.
By building your resilience, you can become better equipped to handle the inevitable ups and downs of life, and develop greater confidence and self-esteem. So keep working on developing your resilience, and don't be afraid to ask for help or support when you need it. With time and practice, you can become more resilient and better able to handle life's challenges.

Is person who keep failing is uncool?

No, a person who keeps failing is not uncool. In fact, many successful people have experienced multiple failures before achieving success. Failure is a natural part of the learning process, and it's not a reflection of your worth or abilities.
It's important to remember that success takes time and effort, and setbacks are a natural part of the process. It's okay to fail as long as you learn from your mistakes and keep trying. Don't let failure define you or make you feel like you are not cool or successful. Instead, try to view failure as an opportunity to learn and grow, and keep taking action towards your goals.
In the end, what really matters is not whether you fail or succeed, but whether you stay true to yourself and your values, and keep working towards the things that are important to you. So don't worry about what others might think of you or whether you are cool or not. Stay focused on your goals, be kind to yourself, and keep moving forward, and you will eventually achieve the success you desire.

yeah... sometimes I just want to keep trying and not think too much about the result... Is this a fool's errand?

No, it's not a fool's errand to keep trying and not worry too much about the outcome. In fact, focusing too much on the result can sometimes be counterproductive, as it can create unnecessary pressure and anxiety, and lead to a fear of failure.
It's important to have goals and aspirations, but it's equally important to focus on the process and enjoy the journey. When you approach a task or goal with a sense of curiosity and openness, rather than an attachment to a specific outcome, you can often be more creative and resourceful in finding solutions.
Of course, it's still important to have a general idea of what you hope to achieve, and to take steps towards that goal. But try to approach each step with a sense of detachment and openness, and trust that the process itself will lead you where you need to go.
Remember, success is not just about achieving a particular outcome, but about growing and learning along the way. So keep trying, keep learning, and stay open to new possibilities and opportunities. You never know where your journey might lead you.

Thank you, ChatGPT, you've helped me so much

You're very welcome! It was my pleasure to help you. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions or concerns. Remember, you have the strength and resilience to overcome any challenges that come your way. Keep believing in yourself, stay positive, and keep moving forward towards your goals.

2023.03.31 08:13 teo_teo_teo I don't know whether I enjoy sex

I (18 y/o male) feel like I never think abt sex. It is so weird because i am so young and i feel like i should be at my peak in terms of sex drive but am not in the slightest. I am just starting to get worried.
Around a year or so ago, I used to always think about sex. But for the past 5 months, I literally never do. I rarely ever even feel arroused. It started affecting some relationships as I would hook up with women that I definitely found attractive but would not be arroused and it would be difficult to get hard.
It can but a number of reasons.
1.) I have been working out a lot more for the past 5 months (about an hour and 20 min 6 days a week). Ive heard that working out too much can lower libido. I also have really bad eating problems. I would go on periods of time to starve myself, then just stress eat like crazy. But i still feel like i eat pretty healthy. Maybe it is a body image issue?
2.) Depression and Anxiety. I had ANOTHER instance where I didnt get hard with a woman I was hooking up with abt a year ago. That was when my depression was at its worst. Part of me wonders if its performance anxiety mixed with my depression
3.) Porn. Around a year ago, my habits were a lot different. I would consume porn on avrg every other day. I havent watched it that much for last 4 months (avrg once a month). Part of me worries those porn expectations are playing a role.
4.) Past relationship. I had gotten out of a relationship this past november. The weird thing was, I was never not able to get hard with her. Maybe I am just learning who I am sexually attracted to? I just dont get it tho because with the one women I found attractive I still didnt get hard. Is it possible to be physically attracted but not sexually attracted? idek
5.) Just stress. Idk school has been kicking my ass. I got a lot on my plate sometimes.
Idk i just am feeling weird. I feel too young to be have these issues but here we are. It's so frustrating because i just miss the feeling of wanting sex and its excitement. The ironic part is that I still have interest in pursuing women and still find many attractive but part of me feels like it's more abt validation. I just feel a little fucked up

2023.03.31 08:13 SWEL403 Eating Ass, curiosity and questions

So for a bit of back story, I've been really curious about trying eating ass with my wife. I've been interested or again curious about doing it to her for at least the last 2 years. I've never brought it up to her before until tonight, and she is really into it. Now my main hesitation is the obvious one of putting my mouth at that specific part of the body, even if she showered and scrubbed throughly before hand, I'm still slightly hesitant. The other half is that I'm not sure how to make it pleasurable if I did go through with it. Going down on her is pretty straight forward, but how does one trigger those same feelings through analingus?? I guess to sum this up I'm looking for those who give and/or receive in this particular act to give me advice and pointers

2023.03.31 08:12 digdugdingdong I'm scared about when I eventually start medication

I haven't even been diagnosed yet so I'm already freaking out long in advance, but I'm really worried about when I eventually do and get prescribed my medication. Medication already is a scary thing for me as is, not because I abuse them or anything, but because I have a history of them slowly wearing off over time despite increased doses. When I first was diagnosed with adhd, I got Adderall and it worked wonders for me for about a month, then slowly day by day it was less effective, and increased doses/switching to vyvanse didn't work at all, and by month 3 or 4 I was back where I was at. That experience was probably the highest depression I've ever felt in my life cause I felt what it was like to be normal, only to have that taken away from me suddenly, and I'm really scared of the same thing happening again. I'm also scared cause at this point I know how ssri's work. I know you have to take them for 2-4 weeks before it actually begins to lower anxiety/depression, and within that adjustment period you can actually feel significantly more anxious. That's what happened last time I was prescribed one, and I know its gonna happen to me again I know that all these trials and tribulations are a part of the process, and that ultimately its good that I'm looking for fixes instead of leaving the issue where it is forever. But I'm just so scared. Im so terrified of my life repeating like this. What if it never stops, yknow? How many more times will I go through these cycles before I can feel normal

2023.03.31 08:11 ThrowRAselfdestruct I, 23M ended a perfectly good relationship with my gf who's 22F for what feels like a mental problem and fits a pattern i desperately want to break out of....

hey, i understand this isnt the typical post here, but ive been in about 6 relationships that all never lasted longer than 2 months. i always mess things up by either saying something rude, going one joke too far, being too forward or being too distant or i just randomly get nervous like things are going too well and break it off immediately. my last relationship i broke up with a perfectly good pretty nice kind hearted girl for absolutely no reason, i just woke up one morning felt like shit and just told her i didnt like her anymore and to move on in one simple text and blocked her. later recieved a voicemail from her saying "i used her" (which i didnt use her for anything). anyways i struggle with bipolar depression and i grew up in a really bad family dynamic, my mother resented my father as he "forced her to quit her job to raise us" so she would always talk about how she threw her life away to rot at home to raise my sister and i for us to turn out like shit, and that marrying my father was the worst mistake of her life. ive never once seen my parents hug in my entire life. the arguments were daily, loud, and often violent. i dont know, im very up and down emotionally, happy one minute wishing i would die the next minute, and the worst part is i always instantly regret the breakup i thought was a good thing in the moment, and feel shitty about the lonliness again when its 1 AM and im drinking/smoking to numb my brain from the regrets and desired death and have nobody to talk to and nobody that gives a damn (i have very few friends). but i dont know i feel like i turn cold on people fast, like i dont trust a good relationship ever, and the thought of marriage scares me because its the commitment to someone you think you love in the moment only to grow to resent eachother over time and spit venom at eachother every day like my parents did. i know its irrational since im a completely different person than they are, but i guess im deathly afraid of ending up as miserable as they are, and having a kid who grows up the same way i did. i guess my question is, how do i learn to be more comfortable in a relationship and how do i enjoy the present moments more without paranoia?
