2023.03.21 21:22 MaintenanceOld5342 VPR fans

Are there any VPR fans in San Diego who would be down for a get together to watch the reunion (possibly part 1)? I feel like we will all need community support during these trying times 😂
A friend and I are thinking of getting a space at a bar or restaurant so that we can all process together! Plus, we’d love to have more Bravo friends IRL!

2023.03.21 21:22 AvanceTrials New Clinical Trial for Former Dupixent Patients

Hi everyone,
I recently posted this but wanted to reshare in case anyone missed the original post. There is a new clinical study enrolling now for a new treatment called Lebrikizumab for patients formerly on Dupixent. You could have ceased Dupixent due to lack of efficacy, cost, and/or adverse reactions. Important differences between Dupilumab (Dupixent) and Lebrikizumab include receptor vs cytokine targets, respectively, and known strong binding affinity and lack of effect on IL-4 signaling with Lebrikizumab. This study is being conducted in Southern California. If you're in the Los Angeles, San Diego, or Inland Empire areas and you're interested in this study, please comment below or DM us!

2023.03.21 21:04 Korean_Anon (CA, San Diego) Received parking ticket for parking next to pedestrian walkway.

I recently got a ticket for parking and partially blocking a pedestrian walkway, however, all the other corners on the sidewalk are demarcated with red paint to notify drivers not to park there, but the pedestrian walkway that I parked at had no demarcation indicating that you cannot park there (No street signs as well). I am not a US resident so I am not familiar with laws here but it seems that if you have a portion of the street that you cannot park on, it is usually marked with yellow, white, blue, or red paint. Is there a chance of fighting this or should I just pay the ticket?

2023.03.21 20:51 AdLarge6520 Is there even a point of moving to a large city with a median income?

I got a job in January doing customer support at a software company in a medium sized city in Norcal. It pays decent for the area (65k) but they do everything they can to make the job as soul-crushing as possible and this city is total ass, it has horrible weather, everyone is anti-social and there's nothing here besides a dozen malls and shitty bars full of fent addicts.
I've been wanting to move somewhere nice in Socal like San Diego for a while and I sent hundreds of apps that all got rejected last year after I graduated college. I'm hoping that I can get hired somewhere in 6 months to a year with my new experience but when I look at the numbers it doesn't even seem feasible without room mates, which are out of the question for me because I don't know anyone there. It all honestly feels hopeless and the thought of having to stay here more than a year makes me want to an hero on livestream lol

2023.03.21 20:45 Itchy-Preparation-76 Should I move to Chicago?

Hi everyone,
I’m thinking of moving to a new city soon. I moved to Utah about two years ago and it’s nice but it’s getting a little bit too boring for me. I want to go out and explore some other places. I work for a great company and so I want to stay at the current company I am at now. My company has locations throughout the country so it should not be a problem moving through my company’s ranks.
I want to move to a new city and explore what else there is in this country. A couple of the cities I’m thinking of including moving to are: Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, NYC, or Washington DC. The salary I would receive at all of the locations is 65k + variable compensation. It would total about $75k a year all things considered.
My goal is the following:
I would like to contribute at least $500 a month to my Roth IRA. I would like to contribute to my 401k. I want to save up so that I can at least take 4 vacations a year (I get around 25 paid vacation days a year). I also want to save for a house and reasonably be able to buy one within the next couple of years. I want to save and invest money for retirement as well. I also would like to go out from time to time.
Of all the places, I think the place that would allow me to actually save up and live comfortably on my salary would be Chicago.
What do you guys think? Which would be the best based on my preferences.

2023.03.21 20:41 Choice_Club3520 Question on membership

Hi, Reddit friends! I wanted to ask if it is difficult to stop an in-studio membership. I currently have the mini burn flex classes for $100 a month. It's 4 classes a month. I like pvolve but at my location in San Diego there isn't enough time slots for me to make it. Has anyone had difficulty stopping their membership? I had found out it is a 2 month commitment to have the mini burn membership.
