So there are these guys I was really close with. For convenience's sake let's call him Ben. I met Ben in college and we were pretty good friends. He's the kind of guy who had this dark humor and he's really funny if not that good-looking. He bullies me for fun but that man cared a lot for me in secret. Lmao he calls me annoying straight up and then proceeds to tell me his personal life stories which he will never tell anyone. He was the closest to me at there were like 7 other guys in the group. And me being the attention-deprived kid, I fall for him. Pretty hard to be honest. I'm 19 and he was the 1st person to give me butterflies and all. It was like he was my first love. Whenever he saves my snaps or calls me pretty or just scolds me to wear better clothes and gives fashion advice (I'm the only woman he says that too) and all, it feels really nice. We used to argue over nothing for fun. Bro makes fun of my music taste (ie Travis Scott) and then proceeds to listen to the same. It was all good.
It was evident that he sees me as his homie gal but nothing more. So I just decide to remain as a good friend to him. And I have been through the lowest point of his life, listening to him call me at 2 am and rant, buying him snacks occasionally, share a lot of my life experience with him. We became really close in the course of 9 months
It was all cool until last month. So another guy in my group let's say he's Tom. Me and Ben both hate Tom. But Ben and I for the sake of the group stay quiet. So this Tom keeps offending me and one day I go mad at him and send him a huge message scolding him and blocking him. And as any friend would do, I was ranting to Ben. And suddenly Ben decided to fight for me as Tom was being disrespectful although I address my problem. Guys all I did was rant nothing else. He stood up for me. I felt really special. And then I and Ben were fine we talked about how horrible Tom was and you know spoke about some insignificant things. And 2 days after the incident suddenly blocks me everywhere. By everywhere I mean each and every single platform including Spotify. Out of the blue. I become reallyyyyy pissed so I text him in a group as I'm blocked now (in which currently only he and I are there) and ask him the reason why he would he do that. And yk his answer will baffle you. Bro went like I was giving him too much negative energy. And he never wanted to scream at Tom and he regrets it and also wants to cut all his ties with me because he doesn't want to be hurt. Bro thought I manipulated him into doing things like this and make him look like the bad guy in the group. Wow man he has an amazing imagination like crazy. I tried to convince him that I just ranting and nothing more but as a certified overthinker he decided to ignore my pleas. He said it is over between us. He meant the friendship. I was a little hurt as he considered validation from Tom who he hates and chose him over me and blames the entire situation on me.
At that time I felt like it was a live-or-die situation. My mind was clouded with emotions and didn't think about the consequences of my actions. And then I just confess to him. But you know what. Brother already knew it. And he actually acted like I committed a crime. I just told you about my feelings bro. I explained to him that I knew I didn't have a chance with him but before anything, I considered him as a very good friend. I might have ruined it but give me a chance. And bro said that I can't forgive you but I can forget and until that let's not be friends. He didn't even consider the friendship we had over 9 months. Fine, I completely understand. It must have been overwhelming. Now the only thing I could do was move on.
Now moving on is really hard because he's in the group. And literally sits behind me. It's so hard to pretend in front of everyone. I try to act normal but he doesn't. Bro literally ignores me. If I ask him anything he just shrugs his shoulders. I have been avoiding talking with him but when he talks with everyone and all I can do is listen and if I try to reply or say something, he just goes quiet. And even if someone talks about me or asked something about me he just goes why the fuck should I care about her. The way he just ignores me. I am still blocked on all the platforms. This incident happened over 20 days ago. But I can't just ignore a person who actively talks in our group. Now I'm confident that I don't have any romantic feelings for him, all I want is for him to talk with me like before. Just at least be friends. And pretend that confession and the argument with Tom never happened.

I came here to see what the consensus was on toonami in my opinion I thought it was dying and might die soon as there aren’t many shows for it to air (in a way). However as I scrolled through the post it seems most say the block is doing pretty good which is interesting to me since their essentially running reruns. Apparently people like the reruns though and when they air like current shows their pretty behind the streaming networks which imo would kill their viewers because why wait the extra 3-6 weeks for it to air here when you can stream it and be on episode 7ish rather then 2. I know toonami/adult swim can be very mean when it comes to exclusive dub rights like SAO season 3 but idk what are your guys thoughts? Added not I also personally am not a fan of the cube anymore idk I guess I don’t want to be interrupted mid show even if it is by Tom. I waited to watch Dr.Stone on here because I wanted to come back but it’s not doing it for me.

Since Movies 1 & 2 already had their own music number scenes. With Sonic dancing with Tom and the others at that bar. And then Sonic & Tails dancing in Russia for the dance fight. What kind of dance thing could happen in Sonic Movie 3 to keep up what practically is gonna be tradition? Honestly hoping if Amy appears, they can do something in Japan with Amy singing a J-pop styled song. Maybe she could sing "You Can Do Anything" from Sonic CD I guess?

On Instagram, for example, yoga is a patchwork of pink sunrises, green smoothies and thin, bendy, barely-clad beings standing beatifically on their heads. Not pictured: the sweaty, awkward struggle to get into a pose. Missing, too, are other types of bodies that love yoga. Thirty-six million people practice yoga in the , and Jessamyn Stanley knows they cannot all be size For years, the 29-year-old big-bodied woman has posted photos of herself doing challenging yoga poses paired with an equally challenging message: larger women can practice yoga while, at the same time, loving their bodies. Like her skinnier yoga peers, Stanley wears cute sports bras, lemon-hued two-pieces, tight booty shorts and, sometimes, nothing at all. Yet despite her size, her sailor's mouth and her self-identification as a "fat femme," Stanley is more Internet-famous than most of them. With more than 232,000 followers on Instagram, she's one of the most-followed yogis online. "It's very important to me that fat people have a space where they feel like it's to be athletic," Stanley says. "If you can help people get to a place where they feel more comfortable with themselves, then that's amazing. " Being an online yoga powerhouse is the last career Stanley pictured for herself. She took her first hot-yoga class when she was a 16-year-old in North Carolina, at the urging of her aunt. "I hated it," she says. "Everything about it was just dreadful: the heat, the poses, the breathing. I thought I was going to die. " She swore it off. But during graduate school, where she focused on performing-arts management, she tried again. Yoga was just as hard, just as hot and just as humiliating. "I was watching all the other people moving through it with ease, and I was the largest person in the class," Stanley says. "I was so aware of myself. " But she also felt a new confidence. The mat was a refuge from depression over her weight and family trauma, which had plagued her for years. Yoga made her feel like she could push past boundaries, and Stanley decided that she didn't care what anyone else thought. Hooked, Stanley left grad school and moved to Durham for culinary school, while practicing yoga at home. To solicit technical feedback from instructors, she started posting photos of herself doing yoga in her apartment-shoes and scarves stuffed in a corner, a pink mat rolled out on the carpeted floor. But others quickly took notice. "The comments I was getting were like, 'Wow, I didn't know a fat girl could do yoga!'" Stanley says. "That's a problem, because there are so many fat women who do yoga. I'm far from the first person. " Although bodies shaped like Stanley's are common in America, showing them is not. A study this year of 100 top Instagram posts hashtagged #yoga revealed that 86% of those pictured had a thin, fit body. Only two people who used the hashtag were classified as overweight (one was Stanley). "Fat women are taught to wear their baggiest clothes that hide their body as much as possible to exercise, because nobody wants to see it," she says. Yet when Stanley started showing as much of herself as possible-belly, thighs, butt and all-her follower count swelled. Fitness brands clamored to sponsor her. Students from Seattle and London and Dubai asked her to teach them, and Stanley became a certified yoga instructor. Now she travels for teaching and wrote a book, Every Body Yoga, out next spring. - I love classic rock. As of last year, I’ve picked up the guitar to learn some of my fav songs and I have been playing nonstop ever since. My favorite artist is Tom Petty, his songs are an absolute joy to play.
- I enjoy playing a variety of video games. I don’t usually stick to one genre, as I like to play a little bit of everything. The platforms I play on are PC, Switch, and PS5.
- I love slice of life anime. It’s just so relaxing and it never fails to put me in a good mood. My favorite series is K-On! and I have rewatched it way too many times.

This week I had my first OBE while in a dream, with a dream character assisting me in exiting. It was really unexpected, and although I have one previous semi-OBE, this one felt more conclusive and had many of the hallmarks I've read about on this sub. I'll share the story briefly and then a few factors that might've helped.
In the middle of the night I found myself in a unique dream, one where I was a character other than "myself." I've kept a dream journal over the past year and as far as I can remember, this is the first dream where I was in a role as someone else. As the scene began, I was a disciple in an ashram with a guru about to initiate me into a specific meditation practice (note: I was not lucid, I was fully bought into the "realness" of this scene). He essentially gave me a wraparound standing hug and and asked that I try to meditate into a still mind as much as possible, which I did. Upon closing my eyes and letting him support my standing weight, I felt vibrations rising in my head, as well as the rumbling "engine" sound I've heard so much about. Previously I've never encountered vibrations or the sound, so I was immediately excited and realized this wasn't only a deep meditation but a practice to accomplish an assisted astral exit. I decided to lean into the vibrations by surrendering and maintaining a quiet mind, which led to a twisting feeling, as though my energy body was detaching internally from my physical shell. At this point I bent backwards and began full head-to-toe backflips, then tried to exit. I got stuck halfway out and felt magnetized back to my body, or as though I was in a thick soup or something. I "awoke" back into the dream, and tried the hug-exit once more with this mysterious guru, and succeeded in fully exiting my body to sit on the floor. I then found myself kinda glued to the floor, then faded out of the scene into a void, realizing I was still stuck and now in sleep paralysis. I stayed calm, opened and closed my hands, and immediately woke up in bed just after 3am.
It was a cool experience and one I felt I would not have achieved had it not been given to me by the teacher or guru, whose identity I don't know. I learned about this sub last year and have been dedicating a lot of effort to this for about 12 months, so this is an exciting step for me. Here are the resources I've used at different times:

- Started with the Raduga method videos that I found in the wiki of this sub
- I read all three of Monroe's books and heavily practiced Gateway, basically all waves, but without OBE results. I do think these helped me begin lucid dreaming, however.
- I read Autobiography of a Yogi, which talks a bit about astral dynamics and explains the nature of reality using different analogies
- used Tom Campell's MBT Explorers program and associated binaraul beats, as well as Tom's Park, to limited effect so far. These have been really helpful to navigating dreams with my intuition as opposed to letting my intellect "crash in" and ruin things, as Tom puts it.
- I follow RJ Spina's material, which isn't necessarily topical to astral projection but his self-discovery and introspection methods are extremely useful. I finished his book this week.
- I love Gene's info on his Astral Doorway youtube and had just watched a newer video of his about doing a "review of the day" meditation before bed, and using the key of SOL during the day. I have been using the key of SOL for one week now.
- the effort to have OBEs is part of a larger personal exploration of expanded states, which began with psychedelics.
- I have been meditating almost a year but only recently started ensuring I spend 20min per day in meditation, using RJ Spina's methods
- I do 3-4 reality checks per day, a few affirmations, and as mentioned, recently added the key of SOL as a more thorough reality check.
- I have been experimenting with diet and trying to eliminate sugar.
- As I was having initial trouble with AP/OBE last year, I decided to start with becoming lucid in dreams first, and began a dream journal. That journal has become pretty detailed over time and I achieve about one LD per month as a result.

Especially funny considering Youcef is a model… I’d expect him to have a couple more tricks up his sleeve than just a tie dye tee shirt lol. Would have been cool if he came back with a different haircut or something! Especially since there’s a gem scene where you can go help. Picking his haircut would be cool (similar to how you can change Lottie’s hair dye in s2).

Hi all, Binder reviews aren't really in my Reddit wheelhouse, but I had such a negative experience with a brand that I wanted to get something out there in case anyone else is considering this company.
With Fytist having closed up shop last month, I saw that LGBT Unicorns, another "Tiktok-first" brand, was selling binders for intriguingly cheap. I usually suggest that folks go with "reputable brands", but a company can't build up a good reputation if no one tries them, right? They had just come out with their "Reborn" summer binder, and it sold for about $23 USD each. I'm used to ForThem and TomBoyX prices, so this looked surprisingly inexpensive. I bought one, size L, based on my measurements and the fact reviews on the site mentioned they run small/to size up.
Payment processing was a whole other kettle of fish. They offer Paypal, and direct card entry. I don't use paypal after having my account compromised on twitter years back (long story) so direct card entry it was. The direct card entry site looked sketchy and insecure, so I used my bank's single-use-card number feature to protect my financial info. In retrospect, I should have just stopped there.
My package shipped two days after ordering, and it took two weeks-ish to reach me from China. The product shipped May 25th, and I received it June 9.
They offer tracking until it gets through customs via China Post, and then I heard nothing, and then I got a delivery notification. The mailer was a regular plain white bubble mailer with no branding, and inside there was a blue branded bag, with the company name and some product copy. The mailer contained the binder, a car air freshener (?) a unicorn sticker, and care instructions.
When I tried it on, I realized why they're so inexpensive: they appear to be very poorly put together. The majority of the binder was made of a weird mesh fabric that reminded my partner of a basketball jersey, and the front "panel" of the fabric sandwiched between the layers. This panel rolled up, separately from the mesh fabric, when I tried it on. I was able to fix it with some fussing with it, only to discover... there was no compression. I am used to binders like ForThem or TomboyX that use a stretchy fabric to actually compress against your chest, so you can kinda feel a little pressure. The front panel on the LGBT Unicorns doesn't bind at all, there's no compression, per se, just sits there on top of my chest tissue. I could fit my whole hand between the bottom of the garment and the end of my ribcage/ that part of my chest. The fabric wasn't itchy or texturally uncomfortable, but I felt god-awful in it and it looked ridiculous. The way it sat under a shirt made me look both weirdly boxy and also like I had an even bigger chest/ was drawn by Rob Liefeld.
I'll be honest with y'all, I immediately took the damn thing off and threw it in a pile of clothes I had ready to donate, but I almost hesitate to do that, because it's just a dang bad compression garment.
TLDR: LBGT Unicorns is cheap because they fit weird and don't bind worth a dang. Save your money, go with a different brand. It sucks that Fytist is gone.

These characters share something special in common that I had never connected the dots with before, and it has to do with Sam searching for Frodo in Cirith Ungol and Fingon rescuing Maedhros from Thangorodrim.
The similar story element on its own is a nice connection between the ages, but it goes a step further with Sam and Fingon both becoming surrounded by darkness, nearly reaching points of despair unable to go any further to find their friends, and choosing music as the next way forward.
Music is a deep element in the themes of Tolkien's legendarium going all the way back to the Ainulindalë, with characters who are more connected with the roots of the world like the Elves, the Dúnedain, the Ainu and Tom Bombadil all having music as an essential aspect of their character or culture. There is a feeling that certain music in Middle-earth is almost guiding along Eru's plan in a way, so these choices in these moments are significant. Now that I think about it, a similar connection can be made to Luthien rescuing Beren from Morgoth's dungeon.
The moment in Lord of the Rings comes after Sam defeats Shelob and takes the Ring from Frodo, who is captured by Sauron's orcs. Here is the passage from Return of the King Book 6 Chapter 1, The Tower of Cirith Ungol:
At last, weary and feeling finally defeated, Sam sat on a step below the level of the passage-floor and bowed his head into his hands. It was quiet, horribly quiet. The torch, that was already burning low when he arrived, sputtered and went out; and he felt the darkness cover him like a tide.
And then softly, to his own surprise, there at the vain end of his long journey and his grief, moved by what thought in his heart he could not tell, Sam began to sing. His voice sounded thin and quavering in the cold dark tower: the voice of a forlorn and weary hobbit that no listening orc could possibly mistake for the clear song of an Elven-lord.
He murmured old childish tunes out of the Shire, and snatches of Mr. Bilbo's rhymes that came into his mind like fleeting glimpses of the country of his home. And then suddenly new strength rose in him, and his voice rang out, while words of his own came unbidden to fit the simple tune.
In western lands beneath the Sun the flowers may rise in Spring.
The trees may bud, the waters run, the merry finches sing.

And yes it is the voice of Frodo through a hidden trap door, who Sam is then able to rescue and escape with to finish their quest to Mount Doom. Special shout-out to that fantastic poem.
Going back to the beginning of the First Age, after Fëanor's host arrives in Beleriand and get promptly stomped by Gothmog's balrogs, his eldest son Maedhros gets captured and chained dangling by his hand to the cliffside of Morgoth's stronghold Thangorodrim, not unlike the punishment of Prometheus. The Noldor following Fingolfin then arrive to the aftermath of this after crossing the ice.
This passage is from The Silmarillion Chapter 13, Of the Return of the Noldor:
Then Fingon the valiant, son of Fingolfin, resolved to heal the feud that divided the Noldor, before their Enemy should be ready for war; for the earth trembled in the Northlands with the thunder of the forges of Morgoth underground.
Long before, in the bliss of Valinor, before Melkor was unchained, or lies came between them, Fingon had been close in friendship with Maedhros; and though he knew not yet that Maedhros had not forgotten him at the burning of the ships, the thought of their ancient friendship stung his heart.
Therefore he dared a deed which is justly renowned among the feats of the princes of the Noldor: alone, and without the counsel of any, he set forth in search of Maedhros; and aided by the very darkness that Morgoth had made he came unseen into the fastness of his foes.
High upon the shoulders of Thangorodrim he climbed, and looked in despair upon the desolation of the land; but no passage or crevice could he find through which he might come within Morgoth's stronghold.
Then in defiance of the Orcs, who cowered still in the dark vaults beneath the earth, he took his harp and sang a song of Valinor that the Noldor made of old, before strife was born among the sons of Finwë; and his voice rang in the mournful hollows that had never heard before aught save cries of fear and woe.
Thus Fingon found what he sought. For suddenly above him far and faint his song was taken up, and a voice answering called to him. Maedhros it was that sang amid his torment.
Just like Sam, music helps Fingon save his friend from the depths of despair, and these characters all go on to have pivotal roles shaping the history of Middle-earth. Whether Tolkien intended the story arcs of these characters to rhyme like this or simply used the same beat twice, I find it to be a really nice touch. Music being an essential aspect of the goodness of Tolkien's world has always been great to me. And in this case it's like both Fingon and Sam receive deep in their spirits a fated musical nudge to help them achieve their tasks.

Whether Tolkien intended the story arcs of these characters to rhyme like this or simply used the same beat twice, I find it to be a really nice touch. Music being an essential aspect of the goodness of Tolkien's world has always been great to me. And in this case it's like both Fingon and Sam receive deep in their spirits a fated musical nudge to help them achieve their tasks.
